Family of 10+ on vacation stopped here while walking boardwalk. Smaller but ample seating and they stored out dual stroller behind register. The staff was friendly and service was quick. The theme of the restaurant seemed to be all about different founders and inventors. Not sure about the history of the place or why that was chosen. Can't say I found any flaws here. Food seemed solid although I only opted to have an appetizer - the coconut shrimp. Didn't come with Cocktail Sauce - instead came with some type of sweet/sour verde sauce, it didn't take away from the meal - it complimented it well. No complaints from family or kids. Founders is part of the Morey's Pier family (amusements, rides, water parks). It is open only seasonally. It is more of a casual fast food/touristy spot. You can dine in and be served on paper and plastic and pay a lot for average food at best, or you can do what I usually do and grab a jumbo slice or a bucket of Curly's fries (close to $20 now!). The slice is very good and the pizza is made by hand with a real pizza maker. It could use more sauce and it's not always consistent but it's still a decent slice. The fries taste just like Nathan's Famous. They are really good and cut fresh to order, just way overpriced. read more

Maybe the hamburger was ok. Calamari was so freezer burnt that it didn't exist. Easily the worst calamari I have ever eaten. Pizza was bad 4out of 10. The roast beef dinner was gross. Some of the green beans were freezer burnt. Ahi-Tuna salad wasn't edible. Out of 10 people 2 were able to eat/ stomach their food. If you come here stick to the hamburger. Nothing else. Food: Loaded Tater Tots, the pizza, cheesesteak egg roll was pretty good. The pizza slices were huge, and cheesy. It was pretty good and has good flavor. Service: the food took awhile to come out, but everything came out warm and well cooked. Our server was very attentive & a pleasure! Food was pretty good not to bad had a perfect year of concert a restaurant has a very interesting cool style from the seats to the pictures on the wall you can see all the rides on the pier very nice especially when you come here during the Oktoberfest service is pretty good. Most of our Wildwood trip was just eating where there was available seating for eight and that's where this place seemed to work out, initially. We went to the pizza area and asked the two staff members if there was seats in the back to fit us all. Dude looked like we asked him a question about aliens. His colleague had to step in and reply and then they looked at each other like we were the weird ones. That rubbed me the wrong way and absolutely made me not want to dine there. Thankfully, the manager who helped us and the lovely waitress made up for their odd and unprofessional behavior. Turns out it was the manager who greeted us as we headed towards the back to see if we could sit and she pulled the tables together with another waiter and got us seated quickly. We realized it had just opened. They could have turned us away but she didn't - that's great customer service. Our waitress was the best and so attentive. Deals well with kids and asked if I needed wipes when she saw me trying to help one of my kids with something. So appreciated for that attention to detail and care. The food was good. Many options to select from. The kids meals were good. Mac and cheese never disappoints. I was truly surprised how good the philly cheesesteak turned out. The bread was incredible. Slightly toasted but so soft on the inside. Highly recommend. The bathroom was quite comfortable. Colder than the rest of the restaurant! Plenty of outdoor seating towards the back heading to the amusement park. Glad it all worked out despite the disappointing initial experience but as long as my kids ate and people treated them nicely, I'm good. read more

Tried to get into a few local restaurants, every place was packed to the gills. I remembered seeing this place while walking by and we decided to eat here. First off, CLEAN. Second, AIR CONDITIONED. Third, a deliciously huge Cobb salad with a ton of bacon bits, blue cheese crumbles and chopped up hard boiled eggs. Katrina was our server and nice as ever. Minus two stars for the extremely rude manager on 6/9/2025 around (older woman) 5pm who accused us of seating ourselves. Didn't even ask us who seated us; and if you couldn't guess, we did not seat ourselves. We were seated by a tall female hostess ~430pm. Unbelievable. Blaming customers for their poor communication and management. If you're the owner(s), then I hope you see this. We have been spending a lot of money at Founder's Pub (also known as Jumbo's) over hundreds of visits since it opened in 1999. Ruined our mood during our dinner. And someone got very sick The management apologized, took it off the bill and provided 15% off the entire bill. Mahi was cooked and seasoned well. Been coming here since it was Jumbos. A bit pricey but it is on the boardwalk. Cool vibe....Service is always good....Food has been pretty good. Me and my niece got Grilled chicken ceasar salads. For 19.50 each they were disappointing. The chicken is not grilled. It was dry and seemed to be the precooked chicken you grab out if a bag. Pizza is good, calamari was ok. Wings sweet chilli were excellent. Burgers and wraps good. Wife liked the crabcake sammie. We like it here and will continue to go. read more

Our favorite place to eat in Wildwood! Fabulous covered outdoor patio with protection the seagulls. The pizza is the best of the boardwalk, great beer selection, and really nice menu with no duds to be found. Servers are always friendly and helpful in accommodating our family's food allergies. Always sad when fall rolls around and we have to wait a few months to return to our fave summer spot. read more

We were here two weeks ago for a birthday dinner and I ordered a burger. Service started off ok, and was reasonable. Our food came and i started to eat my burger, when i noticed something stringy in my mouth. I stopped chewing and pulled out a long piece of hair. I held the hair between my fingers to show the server what I found. While looking down at my food, I discovered another hair on the plate. I called the server over and handed him the hair and he said he would speak with the manager. When he came back, he offered me 10% off my bill. We paid the bill and promptly left. I have a season pass and one of the perks is 15% off food. I didnt even get my 15%. We will NEVER return to Founders as this was completely unacceptable. 0/10 do not go here. read more

Great atmosphere, menu, food, and service. Pizza , burgers were great and the colada drinks especially the lemon shake up. They also had a gluten free option burger bun for someone in our party who has a gluten intolerance. Definitely coming back here next time we come back to Wildwood. read more

4 of us ate here outside on the pier with the view of the rides, the beach and the sky (not to mention the rainbow tonight!) 3 absolutely outstanding juicy, flavorful, burgers and a delicious lobster roll! My Moscow mule was great (they use good ginger beer!) and the Mudhen Wildwood haze was awesome! David, our server from Romania, was so incredibly attentive and thorough! Couldn't be happier! My wife and i ate dinner there 6/26/23, had cheesesteaks that were delicious... returned ate the end of our vacation on the 6/28/23 for lunch with our 4 kids In which my youngest ordered the "popcorn shrimp" off the kids menu, good thing my wife tried a piece 1st which contained the (shit sack) still, on the very 1st one and off the KIDS MENU. The waiter did take it off the bill and put in an order of chicken tenders for the little one. Just aggravated of the thought that if my wife didn't notice and how many were not cleaned... this is off the kids menu and makes you think they don't care about this type of thing because "oh well its a child and they won't notice or mind" but we the parents do mind! And worst of all the Manager themselves didn't even come over to apologize or even make it right... cause what if my wife didn't try it and noticed it, my son didn't even know what it was. And the waiter said he's informing the manager, so they knew and didn't care to make it right or apologize or the waiter never informed. The chairs inside are really tiny, suggest sitting outside if your a plus size so your tushy has more resting space. But overall it was a nice vibe and the "news article" table designs are pretty cool. read more
