This salon is top of the line. A++. I have finally found the salon that understands exactly the haircut I've been trying to get for several years. In the past, my verbal descriptions and magazine pictures of the haircut I wanted just didn't seem to help. To be fair, some cuts came close, but in most cases, once I washed my hair, I couldn't make it look like the original cut. However, after I get a cut at Salon 212, my haircut falls into place day after day until the next cut. In addition, I get many compliments wherever I go! And, as if all that weren't enough, despite this salon being upscale, the professional and non-professional staff are all extremely down to earth and nice. I've been coming to 212 for about 2 years now. After only getting (wonderful) trims I finally decided to get a full set of highlights. Melissa always does a wonderful job and as I've told her, I won't let anyone else touch my hair! Getting highlights in the past is usually a grueling 2 hours sitting in the chair... Melissa got mine done in an hour and I'm so happy with the color. On top of this, I got a cut and blowout. The three services combined were $215, which is 100% fair and worth it compared to other salons in the area that don't give half the service or satisfaction. So I've been going to 212 for about a year I think. Julie has revitalized my hair. RESUSCITATED actually. She knew right away after she got her hands on it the texture and maintenance my hair was and gave me honest feedback about giving me a precision bob which a stylist before was too afraid to do. She fixed my color and WHEN ASKED, gave me great product recommendations. Fast forward to this week. I decided to ditch the red hair and bob and go for an asymmetrical style. She amazed me once again. Julie is a rockstar and lead me right to a great color and style. She is worth the drive from New Brunswick! Wendy has given me facials and a body scrub. She is wonderful! You melt away in her hands. My skin was so dry it was peeling and scabbing. She fixed my face while I drifted off into deep relaxation. This is a great salon for any service. Ehhh I feel horrible about writing this but it's true . Cons : -Worst shampoo I've ever had . She did it so quick and didn't even scrub the crown of my head :/ . Hair was still dirty after . -I just wanted a straight blowdry little bend at the bottom and volume , she didn't get my ends smooth enough so she said let me use the curling iron ( I said okay since my ends looks unsmooth ) then charge me extra for curling iron ‍.( I'm really looking for someone in the area to get weekly blowouts from . - I also was talking about color to her because maybe she has some ideas for me and nothing didn't even bite . Also told her wow I really need a bang trim and didn't bite on that either :/. - took her a little more than 45 mins ( my hairs medium length and thickness ) - 55 dollars for a blowout that didn't last I had to go home try to fix it . Pros : - nice salon - nice staff - nice conversation with the hairstylist - the products she used on my hair felt nice Maybe I'll be back to try another stylist . 212 Salon and Day Spa was the one and only place I trusted to make my bridal party look like princesses on my wedding day. For context, I was the type of bride that researched at least 6 vendors before picking "the one". I had followed the development of 212 Salon and Day Spa from before they opened their doors. I am lucky enough to live down the street from them, so I could literally see their progress each day. When they opened, I couldn't wait to check the place out. The owners were incredibly kind and professional, and gave me a tour right at the get go. They were honest--the bridal suite wasn't quite ready when I toured--but they assured me that they would make it perfect in time for my wedding. I trialed with my maid of honor at 212 in late April for my August wedding. To say we were blown away is an understatement. For context, I have very straight and elastic Asian hair. While my hair is "easy", it's rather difficult to make it do anything beyond be straight. Jeanna, however, is a wizard. When I met her, I knew I was in good hands. She has a warm, open, and loving personality. She also has MANY years of experience under her belt for bridal updos on all kinds of hair. About 45 minutes, 87 pins and a rubberband later, my hair was just like what you see in bridal magazines and on Pinterest. My makeup was done by Irene. A week after my trial, she called to see how the makeup withstood the day. She also wrote down every product she used on my skin so she'd be prepared for my wedding day. Did I mention that Jeanna volunteered to drive to my wedding venue on the day of my wedding so she could switch my headpiece and remove my veil? Yeah--that happened. This was all just for the trial! These people do NOT mess around when it comes to making you look perfect. On the day of my wedding, the room was ready like they promised. Jeanna had found my engagement photos on my photographer's website, and prepared a framed photograph of my husband and me for the room. I had a party of 7 girls and myself, all needing some variety of hair and/or makeup. We were in and out in about 4 hours, looking beautiful for the day. That in itself is very impressive. It says something about the group of stylists that works so well together as a team to get my many varieties of girls looking incredible in that short amount of time. If you want a place that gives you the personal and honest touch, this is the place to go. I can't wait to make this my go-to salon from here on out. read more

This place is amazing! Very pretty & clean. Very polite front desk. Easy parking. The massage I received was outstanding. The whole experience was very luxurious. The masseuse clearly understand human anatomy and the kinetic chain; as someone who lifts competitively, I had a lot of knots and tightness that was preventing me from getting a full range of motion. I have been coming to 212 for the past 3 years on a recommendation from a friend who has been a long time client. It's a 45 minute drive from my home and yet I wouldn't go anywhere else and trust my haircuts to Kim who is a master at always styling my hair just the way I like it and the best part is that her masterful cuts stay great until I return in usually 8 weeks. the staff at the salon are warm and friendly, you can make appointments online which is convenient in case you need to make a change. You get texts messages to remind you as well. During the covid pandemic, every caution is taken when you have an appointment including wrapping coats in plastic cleaner size bags to protect against spreading any germs. Judy and her reception staff are always welcoming and I am so fortunate to have found a salon I can depend on who that I will not have to worry about bad hair days again. read more

TO ANYONE CONSIDERING THIS SALON--I spoke with spoke to Diandra via email last March and told her I wanted 10-15 girls for March 2016, and the date was reserved for me. This week Judy, Irene and I were discussing day-of logistics. Judy calls me and tells me "we can no longer accommodate you, we are under staffed." I asked to speak to Guy and he said the same thing. He claims people quit and can no longer accommodate me all of a sudden. Mind you, this is after I paid $100 for hair trial and another $100 for makeup trial. It is absolutely disgusting, immoral and unethical to cancel on a bride a month before her wedding and I hope this review saves someone else from going through what I am going through right now. read more

I booked an appointment in advance as a returning client for both my mother and I, but when we arrived for it, early might I add, we were told there was not enough time, were rushed through our appointment, and were literally told "you're wasting my time" by a stylist named Carol. Sue is the most amazing colorist - she is unrivaled. I've been w her for years. Besides being talented, she's also down to earth, fun and easy to communicate with. Sue listens to what I have to say before she lets me know what she thinks will work best, and she's always right. I've never been disappointed. Had my blow out done by Julie. I'm incredibly picky and she gave me a fantastic blowout - in record time for my long, thick hair. Will def be back to her again. The salon itself is beautiful and light filled. I recently started going to Carol for my highlights and cuts and couldn't be happier. I have received so many more compliments on my highlights since she has started doing them. The salon has a parking lot in the back which is nice and the staff is always very hospitable. They always offer you coffee, tea, or water and make sure that you are comfortable during your visit.
