Bought my daughter this weekend. The venue is a little small however you don't need a lot of space for haircuts. I liked that they have a little playroom waiting area. It has a seats, toys and a little tv. I think the pricing of hair cuts is fair. Being from out of state we paid about the same back home. Our stylist Kathleen was so nice! I felt she was very welcoming attentive. The vibe is fun! My 19mo son loves sitting in the firetruck during his cut. We drive a little further to specifically come here because they do such a good job. Racist ppl didn't even wanted to talk to my mom because her mother language is Spanish, and then when my mom wanted a lady there to explain to me something she said "she was cutting hair and didn't even attempted to say anything". You should stop treating clients like you are doing us a favor because you're NOT. We are paying for a service and I don't know if you are aware of, but there are a lot of other places that offer the same service. After 1 year of cutting my toddler's hair in this place I'm not coming back and also I'll spread my experience with my friends, work colleagues, and family. Despite being a literal cry baby, the team here at Pigtails did a fantastic job of adapting and ensuring Matthew was calm. They have a wonderful toy room that your kids can play in before/after their cut so that they are at ease. The store's owner greeted us and checked in on us a few times. Up until today, we had been regulars for my daughter for trimming bangs and getting haircuts here for years - always agreeable to stylists and tipping generously. Something changed. We've had a couple off-putting encounters in the last two months and will not be returning. First our appointments were canceled on the day of, with a text saying staff unavailable and no response when I inquired. Today, I booked a specific stylist for my daughter and a general appointment for my younger one at the same time. We showed up to the appts - my younger one got her hair cut by stylist A. My older one was left waiting in playroom with no ETA of her appt. After waiting some more after finishing my younger one's, stylist A told us she'd cut my older one's hair. The specific stylist we booked came over and told us my daughter would be with stylist A and proceeded with the family who had the appointment after us. Extremely disrespectful in my opinion. I've never booked a specific appointment with a service provider and be brushed off to another person before with lack of communication like this. The final straw was the cut. I stated beforehand, "I do not want her bangs cut- we've worked very hard to grow it out. Please do not cut it." (Yes, repeated). The stylist A proceeded to respond "I'm not going to cut it but I WILL trim it." We came home and my daughter has been extremely agitated because her bangs are now one inch shorter and harder to get out of her eyes. Disrespectful service and inexcusable to disregard a parent's request over the haircut for the child. I will pay my money elsewhere going forward. Would have been a 2 star but added one star because of the cute playroom and chairs for the kids. read more

I give this place two stars because their play area is super cute and very entertaining. Aside from that, it's pretty much marginal. I've taken my daughters there a couple times and have yet to be impressed. They chomp their hair without precision. I always have to follow up on my own at home due to the many lengths. They don't wash or style their hair either. Quite a ripoff for $20 if you ask me. There are other establishments in town where you get more bang for your buck and much better service. read more

I ultimately chose pigtails and crewcuts and had a positive experience. Friendly staff, clean facility, car chairs my son loved, tv's with a kid's movie playing for distraction, and a goodie bag for each kid at the end (with sticker, bracelet, lollipop). Haircut was quality! I gave 4 stars because nothing was above and beyond my expectations, but I'd have no hesitation returning. The one near our house had closed awhile back around the time my oldest was just fine going to a regular hair cut place. We found pigtails and crew cuts which had done my daughters first hair cut many years ago. The staff is super friendly, my son loved the airplane, and the waiting area is spacious with some awesome toys for the kids to play with. I feel bad for trying another kids hair cut place that ended up seeing us 45 mins after our appointment and had a cramped waiting area so we've come back to where we should have stayed after that one straying visit to another place. Very upsetting and frustrating. I've booked an appointment for my son to get a haircut. I received several reminders and even a check once email for the service. What a complete waste of 30-40 minutes. I tried calling and calling only for the phone system to state they were with a customer. If they weren't going to show up or open the business they should have canceled all their appointments for the day not sent over 5 reminders of the appointment. read more

After getting awful haircuts at Sharkies, we came to Pigtails and Crewcuts. The staff was awesome. Incredibly kind and great with our kids (5 year old and 1 year old boys). They did an excellent job fixing their cuts. The place was clean and the wait was short. My one year old didn't want to sit in the chair, so they started his cut while he played at the train table to make sure they could give him an even cut... BEST PLACE EVER!!! That made my day. They did everything to keep my kids happy and make this fun. I am sooooo happy and will definitely be back! I highly recommend this place. read more

My 3 girls (and wife) love this place. The stylists all work really well with kids. Some of the chairs are cars and planes for the little Ones. There are movies and video games to keep the kids distracted during the process and a play room to pass the time while waiting. However, there is never a long wait because there are always enough stylists. At the end the kids get a lollipop and a treasure from the chest on the way out. The stylists are not only good, but knowledgeable of different hair types and what kind of brushes and shampoo to use with each kind. read more

We had a satisfying experience here today for my kids' first cuts. My 4yo, 1yo, and I all got our hair cut by a nice woman named Toya. Two in the afternoon on a Tuesday and there was no wait. My kids loved the car and plane seats and the giant play room in the back (train table, play kitchen, puppet theatre!). They had a Christmas movie going, and when it ended they let my daughter pick the next flick. Toya listened to me and did exactly as I wanted with our hair. My kids didn't want to leave! The only downside is the price--$19.99 for few snips with the scissors. But you know what, I am not taking those scissors into my own hands, and I don't have a cool car seat to distract my kids with, so shut up and take my money! read more

My daughter has long hair, so they charged us as a Mom's hair. She also had knots in her hair. The hairstylist complained so much about it that made my daughter so sad and teary in her eyes. Also, she decided that they should charged us for detangling!! So in total we were charged for about $49 + tips while I went there expecting to be charged for about $21 + tips as it is advertised on their website. The hair looks fine though.
