I've been at Pika's many times. The food is pretty good. I took my Dad for Father's day. He enjoyed the food but the service was not good. After we received our food the server never came back to see if we needed anything else. We didn't get refills on our drinks either. The server went on break and we were not told. We also did not get our check when we finished our meal. This visit on Father's Day was a disappointing one. read more

Been here a number of times. Food wasn't bad. But we were denied service because our child (4 yrs old) doesn't eat any of the food they served there due to allergies, so we had to get him food elsewhere. We were told, they had issues with outside food before and this is why they couldn't serve us. What could possibly be the problem with allowing a 4 year old to eat while me and my wife spend what would've been over $150 to eat there? We have been everywhere from fast food restaurants to Michelin star level establishments and they've never had issues with our son bringing outside food. Your decision costed your restaurant, customers for life. My recommendation, be a bit more flexible and understanding or you'll soon realize over time, your business decisions will cost you your business. read more

It was a total lack of organization. The staff seemed confused about who was actually waiting for a table and where they should be seated. Meanwhile, people who didn't even have reservations were getting seated before us. It's unclear whether they were ahead of us on a secret list or just being prioritized for some other reason. The whole experience was really frustrating and left a sour taste in my mouth before I even got my food. If you're going to have separate lists, at least make it clear to customers. Lady sat us down, but never brought us menus. We looked at the menu online and still took them about 15 minutes to come to the table. Finally placed our order and the mine came out wrong. The potato tacos were not good. The potato was hard and bland. Server checked on us a minute after our order came, but we didn't see her until we finished out entrees. Someone finally came by, so we ordered some churros with ice cream. They packed them to go, so I told the lady they were for here and if she could bring us utensils. However, the churros were cold, so I had to return them. My friend never got a refill on his drink even after putting his glass at the end of the table. We saw the server checking in with the table behind us, but they never made it to the back with us. They did however check on the 2 guys ordering beer because they got at least 3 beers each. For a restaurant with 7 tables and 2 servers this was by far the worst and slowest service I've received. I will never be returning. read more

Oh soo good! Small place with friendly service and plenty of parking in front. Ordered the Chilaquiles with egg and asada, asked for extra spicy and were nicely seasoned, not dry, not soggy. The barbacoa was goat meat and soup base was very tasty. Ordered to go Carne en su Jugo and Barbacoa tacos which were also nicely seasoned and worth ordering again. Will need to double check to go orders as this was missing a taco. They serve blended drinks, margaritas and Mexican beers, which will try on the next visit. To end we ordered a coffee which was a little weak and churros which were good but the caramel dip tasted like goat caramel and was watered down. Overall, Will definitely return as there are other items i want to try and the portions were plentiful. read more

I decided to hang up and call again after waiting for a couple minutes. I've called for 10 minutes straight now, and the phone was never answered. The torta ahogada was good. I liked the fact that they add a good amount of meat to them. Definitely not stingy with it. I really enjoyed the fact that they have the bottle of both the salsa and the chile in the table to add more to your liking. I do wish the torta was warmer when they serve it though. read more

I've been coming here for years now. Use to recommend this spot to EVERYONE! The food is good when they serve it right away and not leave it sitting there for minutes . Each time service gets worst and worst . Food gets served late; utensils are provided 10 minutes after food is brought to the table . Have to remind the server a couple times to bring drinks that are missing . When asking for salsa , limes, etc. the server almost ALWAYS forgets and never brings it . Also seen the cooks a couple different times grab their phones and then go straight back to handling food. On our last visit saw server handle money and then go straight to handling food. So been here just once for the Torta Ahogada(Dipped Sandwich). This was very very mediocre no cap. The salsa for the torta was pretty bland, the hot sauce was ok. Not horrible, but id rather go to Chiva Loca for my bext torta ahogada. Buddy of mine said their other plates are pretty good, specifically the Carne en su Jugo(beef stew). Might give it a another shot to try the plate, will pass on the Torta tho. read more

Came here during my lunch break. I called my order to make sure I can pick up and go but during the call the lady taking my order seemed very distracted and it was a bit frustrating. When I arrived I wasn't acknowledged because the two ladies (one at the counter and the other behind the juice bar) were carrying about their conversation completely ignoring me. Finally when I was acknowledged I was told my food was still not ready and had to wait an additional 15min. So finally get the food and leave. Pika Tortas is not only what the name says but a great place if you want to experience Mexican Food Guadalajara style . While the wait has been a bit long at times it's due to the following and even then it's nothing to crazy . The restaurant is small and right now only has outside sitting as I posted on the pictures . Nothing fancy here or lavish just great food! Service - The food servers here are extremely friendly and polite. From the movement you get here they great you and seem like they really want to ensure you have a good dining experience . Looooooveeee this Gem!!! Stopped by just by driving by and went back and ordered on Uber ever since!! All their food is satisfying. Tastes just as if you were in Guadalajara. They serve the tacos dorados with meat and sauce just like they do in Mexico. I don't think I've seen that elsewhere. In other words super authentic. We ordered cafe de olla, chocomil, guacamole and tortas. We've tried it all and nothing has been unsatisfactory. They do get pretty busy on weekends but the staff manages very well. read more

When I asked the waitress she said that a lot of people have complained about this too and that the owners were making a lot of changes. When we got the bill they charged extra for adding pork feet to the pozole. (Pork feet already should be in the pozole like it was before?!) When I asked why she charge me extra she said I did see that but the system is charging it. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she said that she was gone but that I can call her tomorrow. Decided to check out this spot for the Tortas ahogadas. Server with ginger hair (didn't get her name) told us to sit anywhere and she would be right with us. 10 min passed and she didn't even hand us menus or ask what we would like to drink. 2 more parties arrive and sit down she greets them hands menus and ask what they'd like to drink. My husband and I are like okay maybe she will come to us next. She proceeds to ask the next party and attends them we realize that it's been 20 min now with no service so we leave. The food looked good but the customer service is ass. Was looking forward to ordering and trying out this spot to make it my new go to for tortas but absolutely not.
