We absolutely loved this restaurant! We stumbled upon it while browsing Yelp and decided to give it a try because of all the great reviews, and it definitely lived up to the hype. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was amazing. I loved all of the artwork throughout the restaurant paying tribute to Filipino culture, and the R&B and soul music created such a fun, laid-back vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with the horchata iced coffees, and they were incredibly flavorful, and the perfect way to kick off brunch. I ordered the beef short rib hash with mini bacon waffle pieces on the side, and it was hands down my favorite dish. The short ribs were tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the rest of the meal. It's definitely something I'd come back for. My daughter and I also shared the churro waffle, which was absolutely delicious and the perfect sweet treat. The food, the service, everything was wonderful. We'll definitely be making a return visit whenever we're in the area!

Came here on Father's Day (Sunday, June 21st) around 11:15 AM with a party of 2, and from start to finish it was such a great experience! One of the first things I loved was that they have a Yelp waitlist, so I was able to join before even leaving the house. We arrived just on time. Parking was easy too, l found street parking right away, and we were also told there's a nearby parking lot if needed. The host/server who helped us was incredibly sweet and welcoming (I wish I could remember his name!). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was adorable, cute and cozy while still feeling lively and energetic. I was especially obsessed with the wall near the kitchen entrance. Such a fun design detail![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since we both desperately needed caffeine, we started with two coffee flights. Every glass was delicious, but the Mint Mojito was my personal favorite. My plus one couldn't stop talking about the Raspberry Mint. For my entrée, I ordered the green chilaquiles with chicken instead of pork, plus a side of potatoes. Let me just say... AMAZING. The eggs were cooked perfectly over easy, exactly as requested. The tortillas were coated beautifully in sauce while still staying crispy, a balance that's hard to nail. And they definitely don't skimp on the protein, which is always a huge bonus for me. The potatoes were incredible too, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. My plus one ordered the breakfast poutine with short rib and a side of grits. I kid you not, I was only about three bites into my meal when he had already cleaned his plate The portion was huge and packed with protein, and judging by how fast it disappeared, I'd say it was a winner! As if we hadn't already ordered enough food, we also got the churro waffle, which came with a mini French toast! *We completely underestimated how much food we were getting. The waffle was absolutely heavenly. I don't know what kind of love they put into that thing, but WOW. The French toast was equally delicious. This was my first visit, and my plus one mentioned he'd been to their previous location and really likes how they got a semi bigger spot. I already have my eye on the spicy chicken biscuit, and my plus one is planning to come back for the breakfast burger. Can't wait to return!

Stopped by on a Tuesday morning around 9am & there was no wait! I decided to try the red chilaquiles which came with chicken. They kind of tasted like mole to me. The flavor was there but they were not my favorite. To drink my friend got the coffee flight which comes with their signature coffees. I only tried the mint one which was very good! Service was great. If I went back, I would definitely try something different.

My family and I love the nest. We have been here several times and it always hits the spot. Some of our favorite entrees are the chilaquiles and beef hash. This last time we went we chose a side a French toast with tres leches and it was heavenly! Each bite was fluffy and full of flavor. The service here has always been on point. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We have sat both inside and in the outdoor patio and have enjoyed both. On a nice spring morning the shaded patio is just right[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We love that we can add ourselves to the waitlist in advance. It really cuts down the wait time

Used to be one of my favorite breakfast spots. For many yrs since before the location change. Idk what happened they get a lot of service still Maybe that is but they changed not good anymore sadly. Just ordered the breakfast burger and they need to put in the caption how extremely spicy it is. Idk if it was joke they where trying to play or of it normally comes that way but my husband couldnt eat it. Extremely spicy! .The sausage patties that came with my waffle were raw uncooked. Im sad that they either just dont care anymore of theyre extremely overworked.

I wasn't sure what the place was going to look like, but it exceeded my expectations. This is place focuses on breakfast and brunch as they close pretty early, which makes sense. My friend had the Fried Egg Sandwich, and I had the Fried Biscuits & Gravy. The food was pretty good. I love that there was a diverse clientele. We shared a LARGE mimosa, which they put into an XL service glass because they were out of clean L ones. We were impressed by the how they served it!!!! We chose passionfruit and guava. Boy, it was good and vodka really helped smooth the mimosa out. It wasn't too sweet either. Service was awesome as well! We will return again when we are in the BF.

First time here & had the breakfast poutine & side waffle pieces so good...

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We've been to cafe many times but it's been a bit busy there[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Which is good. We always like the food and service. We meet the owner once when we were dining there. He was really nice and asked we liked our food and service. We usually get to go orders to take home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice vibe[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been to Nest back at their other location about four years ago and finally came back. I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time! I always love supporting businesses that are nestled into their community and culture. Their shrimp and grits are amazing and the portion is perfect! My boyfriend ordered the chilaquiles and it does have a bit of spice. You get a small place with your order and we opted in for the pancake and biscuits and gravy. The server was nice enough to comp our coffees (i get the mint mojito) because of the wait; amazing service! They had Filipino art showcase displayed throughout the restaurant, which I really loved.

It was pretty busy when I went, but the customer service was good nonetheless. I tried the french toast which was really good although more on the sweet side, but the maple butter on top was a nice addition to it. The chilaquiles were good, nothing crazy though. I personally didn't really enjoy the coffee flight, but my friend who enjoys coffee loved it!! I ordered a horchata coffee (i believe) and really enjoyed that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As for the ambiance, it was really nice and chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First time trying this spot after living in Bellflower for a while! Breakfast was delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place looks small outside but is actually very spacious with extended outdoor patio seating as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers are all very friendly and service was fast! Wait times are not bad at all but definitely recommend getting on their Yelp waitlist to speed things up! Shout out to Maggie our server who was super friendly and made our dinning experience memorable. (:

Veggie Scramble, Three Little Pigs, Tres Leche French Toast, and Biscuits & Gravy. Not the best breakfast.
    Hazel G.

Ambiance is trendy with unique decor and spacious seating. Music playing allows for a happy experience. Service by Jordan was perfect! Food was overpriced and garlicky. Veggie Egg Scramble: I was looking forward to a simple dish with flavor. I was blasted with garlic flavored eggs, spinach, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, and onions. Three Little Pigs: mediocre flavor with chunks of fat (pork belly fat). Biscuits and Gravy: had better...might be the type of bread? French Toast with Tres Leches: good, bread was soft, but didn't have a French toast flavor...more of a soft bread. Cup of Joe: great! Would I return? Maybe for a to go cup of their matcha or horchata coffee!

The food was amazing, it was made fresh to order, we enjoyed it, it was the correct temperature and things felt like home. The service was good, waitress was on point. Chef Ronnie Woods was the best, he came out and checked on us to make sure that we were enjoying our food

Who LOVES food being delivered? So yummy!
    Josie T.

One word: Delicious! Who doesn't like food being delivered?? Great delivery service! I would highly recommend the Bacon Waffle with syrup and butter that complimented the taste and while it's hot, sooo delicious! Then finish it with the potato tacos which were also amazing! Bookmark this brunch place folks, my new local favorite nestled in Bellflower owned by our locals! I'm stopping by next time to get more dishes!

A great alternative to Porto's!…read more I bought a wide variety of empanadas here, including the breakfast and burrito flavors, and they were all incredibly savory and delicious. You have the option to buy them frozen to save for later, but they honestly taste best when you eat them fresh right at the bakery. A quick tip if you order online: Make sure to go straight to the front and let one of the many employees know you are there for a pickup. They only call out names for in-person orders, so you'll be waiting a while if you don't speak up! I also tried their new seasonal sandwich--the pulled pork melt and the very popular nonseasonal sandwich crispy chicken sandwich. Both were very filling and packed with flavor. Just make sure to eat these fresh, as they will likely get soggy if you try to save them for later. They have a great selection of desserts and coffee drinks that I didn't have room for this time, but I'll definitely be saving those for my next trip to Long Beach. If you're looking to try something a little different from the usual spots like Porto's, I highly recommend checking this place out. I will definitely be returning to try more flavors!

Parking - Free in a shared large parking lot, plentiful We were both intrigued by their potato balls, empanadas, and breakfast burrito in which we ordered 4 potato balls (2 chicken/2 beef), 2 empanadas (1 chicken, 1 beef), and 1 breakfast burrito to share. Our order came out in about 10 minutes or so, not too busy. Total came out to about $42 which is quite expensive for the amount of items in my opinion. 1. Potato Balls - By far my favorite menu items from the visit, they weren't as crispy/crunchy as Portos but they're bigger. Portions are big and it's filled with your choice of filling, very delicious, highly recommend 9/10 2. Empanadas - Usually I love empanadas but these were a bit disappointing on my end. They were softer than empanadas that I usually have, although delicious still but definitely not my favorite from the bakery. 6.5/10 3. Breakfast Burrito - Talk about portions, this breakfast burrito is loaded with ingredients, eggs among many other ingredients, super flavorful and savory. It does have a bit of a kick to it which adds to the taste, pretty good! 8.5/10 Overall, a solid brunch spot, although a bit expensive, it's still worth to check them out. Pretty decent tasting potato balls, breakfast burrito is big in portion and delicious as well, along with their empanadas which can be a hit or miss depending on the style of empanadas you like. Definitely a good spot for a snack even if you're in the area.

But quick understanding the term suffices. As I entered Mandala Cantina, I knew that I had stepped inside a vibe of Latin frenzy and buck--- it was replete with a sophisticated backyard boggie energy. Or in other words, the carne asada barbecue had adopted an elegant, glamorous and modern Talum motif that hit with bright mellow lights, beige beauty all around and a good time fueled by tequila shots and cocktails. I was sat at the bar, but I was warned that my sit would be bellow the regular bar line. So I sat alone, and I could look up at everyone else sat from by de-elevated sit. I was ok, I had arrived late, I was by myself with no reservation and on a whim, so I took my corner seat and did my best to forget that I sat below everyone's eye level. The party vibe was strong and palpable all across the bar. In fact, I have been to very few bars where the move was to sit, yet, the music and crowd almost demanded that we acted like we were on a club, but sitting down. More clearly, I wanted to move and dance but since there was no space, and we were playing Mexican bingo, we were implicitly required to sit and dance. For those who did not, the party still pulsed. There was this huge Cantaro (Mexican clay cup or vase) with six straws. So like a fishbowl drink that is commong in Tiki or Island theme bars, but in a large Mexican mug. This guy was moving it around while he was filmed in a way where he showed the drink for six like Mufasa showed Simba to the residents of Pride rock. So I am basically saying that all the people in the bar and crowd found a way to honor the old school hits of Reggaton and Banda that dominated the airwaves of the spot. I could not help but beat my head back and forth when Oye Mi Canto played and the lasers of the spot moved around wildly. In short, it was an experience that can be described as lit. The experience of game play was also electric. As soon as you entered, you were asked to pick a card from a large stack. You were also required to get some frijolitos-- small beans, that did not jump. I put all my beans into my card and removed them as my cards were called. I came close to winning, and maybe I did, but it was hard to focus amidst the noise and bop, so maybe I did win and did not register that one of my cards had been called so its frijolito remain on top of that square. Regardless, of the lack of victory I expeirenced I was still very happen I went here to celebrate Cinco De Mayo with appropriate festivities. After I soon sat, some tacos were placed in front of me. They were for my neigbor. I was honest and made them aware that they were not for me. After all a Mexico Hero-- Benito Juariez reminds us that respeto a lo ajeno es la paz. I've tried multiple times to call and speak to a manager about what happened, but after receiving no response, here I am leaving a Yelp review. This wasn't my first time at Mandala, but it will very likely be my last. I made my reservation the same day Mexico won and reservations opened. I reserved a table for 8 people at 3:45 PM, which was the maximum party size available. I arrived around my reservation time, definitely before 4:00 PM, and security directed me to wait in the line designated for guests with reservations. By around 4:30 PM, the reservation line had barely moved, yet I watched other people walk up, give their names, and be let inside. At the same time, I could clearly see two reserved tables for eight sitting completely empty.I finally asked one of the waitresses, "I reserved for 8 people, and I see those two tables are empty. May I ask what the hold up is?" She asked for my name, looked up my reservation, confirmed it was there, and then told me, "It was canceled." I asked, "What was the reason? I've been here." She replied, "You never checked in before 4:00 PM." Which in fact I did, and security even confirmed that I had arrived before 4:00 PM. Despite that, no one was willing to honor my reservation. At that point I told her, "Only three people from my party of eight are here. Can we just get a table for the three of us?" She spoke with another waitress, and they came back saying it would be standing room only. I asked, "Why?" Again, they referred me back to my supposedly canceled reservation. By now I was beyond frustrated. While they spent another five minutes trying to "figure something out," I continued watching people walk up, give their names, and immediately be seated. Meanwhile, the two reserved tables for eight were still sitting empty. Then I was told, "The best we can do is standing room at the bar, or you can stand anywhere in the restaurant with one of the cocktail tables, but there's a $100 minimum per person." That requirement was never advertised or mentioned when I made my reservation. I reminded her, "This isn't my first time here." She simply replied, "Or you can stand at the bar. No minimum." At that point, it was so close to game time that I just wanted to get inside. We were never greeted--menus were simply placed in front of us. And throughout all of this, those two reserved tables for eight remained empty. The biggest lie I heard all afternoon was, "We're at capacity." I must have heard that at least 10 times. If Mandala was truly at capacity, how were people continuously walking in without reservations and being seated? Why were guests with confirmed reservations turned away while empty reserved tables sat untouched? Thankfully, the game was delayed until 6:00 PM, which gave us enough time to leave and take our business elsewhere. This was poor planning, poor communication, misleading reservation practices, and some of the worst customer service I've experienced. I wasted my time, my gas, and what should have been an exciting afternoon watching the Mexico game with family and friends. I expected much better from a place I'd enjoyed before. Instead, I left feeling ignored, frustrated, and completely disappointed. I rest my case.
