I received a marker landmarker being removed after responding to my own landmarker the Pike electric outdoor came back out and replaced the marker where he thought it should go. Which was 2 ft off. After hiring a surveyor to find this out. That was $700 to have a survey done over one person's mistake. But the very intelligent and very smart and understood things that most people overlook said that they would take care of the bill. So because of this kind and awesome act of kindness from pikes upper employee I want to thank y'all for taking care of this issue most people would have beat around trying to avoid paying for it but I think y'all. UPDATE: I spoke with Carlos the owner and he apologized for the error and sent us a refund. Apparently, the tech who cut our wires has since been fired because of what happened. He offered to fix the cut wiring, which we declined. The tech from Pike ruined our $300 light fixture by cutting the wires and then taping them back together. Didn't even mention it to us. When we noticed the light fixture wasn't hanging properly, they lied and said it would straighten itself out. Upon further inspection, we found their error and confronted them about it. They would have never mentioned it to us if we hadn't noticed! To top it all off, they scuffed up our freshly painted walls with their ladder. read more

Initially met Roger and Oliver thru a home warranty call. While at my house, I asked for a quote to provide lighting in the basement and some additional lighting in the kitchen and living rooms. Every time they do work, the supervisors in the pickup trucks use both trucks to block the road while they have their conversations for some time. if you request they pull to the side so you can pass they get very belli and force you to go around them. Horrible people and services. read more

Warning / Caution!! Hired Pike to install recessed lighting, I was left with 10 large holes in the ceiling and Pike refused to repair the holes. Also, the Pike tech caused a small fire that damaged bed sheeting. The Pike tech was very rude, used profanity, raised his voice and refused to provide a receipt for material purchased. Pike tech was physically aggressive and refused to leave without full payment although the work was not completed. Pike owner billed my credit card for $1,800 and refused to address the incomplete work and damages. Please check Angie's list, BBB websites for pictures of the damage Pike left in my home. read more

I would avoid this company. I was hoping to get a thoughtful assessment for an ongoing electrical issue and that just wasn't in the cards. After they arrived, they gave (in my opinion ) a very surface level diagnosis of the problem. As I have had continuing issues, I asked them to do a deeper probe into the issue with my main breaker. The main electrician kept cutting me off and he basically said he knew his diagnosis was correct. He then cut me off in mid question to tell me that he was going to get started on the project because he didn't have a lot of time. I didn't like the aggressive and dismissive tone of the conversation so I told him I would think about it. Paid him for his time, but did not authorize any work to be done. The next day I had another electrician look at the issue. They fixed the issue at 1/6 of the cost Pike Electric was pushing me to spend. I'm glad I trusted my gut. read more

I called them for a doorbell installation and immediate upgrade to a RING Pro and actually ended up having them also install a Nest outdoor camera and a ceiling fan. Actually I have no idea how they perform. They called me after I asked for a quote on an electrical outlet installation (for a new tankless waterheater). I called them back. They gave me a quote. I accepted the quote - and then we set a time. I rearranged work and life to receive them. We've been there - its late! Then its later! Then you call.... "oh you aren't in our book," they say. They admit they called - the remember speaking to us - but they never recorded it. Are they going to reimburse me for two hours of my time - or taking time away from my office - or having to explain to the boss and beg for a few hours off to wait for people who never show??? Came out on a quick turn to replace a few burned out circuit breakers, which was swell. However, they came in with an absurd estimate, saying I needed a "heavy up" with a new service line and a 200amp service at 4700. 1) everyone else was coming in at 3600 for an upgrade BUT 2) no one else recommended a "heavy up" b'c I already have a 150 amp service w'a bunch of capacity 3) their estimate for just the electrical panel was more than twice everyone else. They charged me over $600.00 to repair a plug inside my house. They said they completed it after the second attempt and two huge holes in my siding and an electric wire sticking out of both sides later. They should have charged me 99.00 for their call however l was charged $126.00 upon the second attempt I was charged $525. They could not give me an estimate until they had completed the work. They were super late both times. Worst scam ever!! I still have the wire sticking out. Hope no insects get in through the holes they left. read more

I edited this review because Oliver apologized for the initial miscommunication on which smoke detectors would be acceptable and refunded the labor cost. I Contacted Pike Electric Group due to lights and wall outlets suddenly not working. Roger from the company arrived 3 hours late of the appointment time. He work on the problem for 3 days and was late everyday - not by minutes but hours. Roger cut a 2-foot hope in the ceiling of the upstairs back room, he said that he would contact someone who could fix it no one has contacted me. I contact Roger about an outlet he recently fixed in the middle upstairs bedroom that had stopping working, he shown up 3 or 4 days after I had to called his company. When Finally arrived he told me nothing was wrong with the outlet - this is after he had entered the box making adjustments. Roger did know that I had had another electrician verified that the wires in the box were incorrectly wired. Roger wanted me to give him a $190.00 I refused, so he said he would accept $90.00. I said to him why would I give you $90 for work that you have done recently and he said it was not him it was the company, so I gave him $50 which was a mistake. I asked Roger did he replaced the dinning-room ceiling box he said no, so I asked him did he move it he said no, so I asked him did he add a new box he said he could not remember, but as we kept talking about how off center the light was compared to the ceiling's size he conceded that he had in-fact placed a new box without removing the original box. He said if I would buy a box he would place it in the ceiling where the old box is located. Of course, I bought another new box. He was to install the box in 2 days it has been 2 weeks and Roger has yet to come and install the box. One final thing, my research has revealed the possibility that Roger might not be licensed to practiced solo in the District of Columbia, I will keep you posted. I gave Roger more than $3000.00 and to receive this shabby, treatment, and service is more that shameful it is unethical. In short, BEWARE OF PIKE ELECTRIC GROUP! read more

Pike sent their installation team same day to perform a tricky install of a delicate OLED flat screen over our ventless gas fireplace. Installation required fishing wires around the fireplace box inside the wall to connect a new behind-screen electric outlet and finding studs above the fireplace that were off-center to mount the tilt-out rack. Comcast provided a small wireless HDMI box to go behind the screen. TV looks beautiful like a piece of glass with a picture on it suspended in midair above the fireplace. No wires show. I encountered this company by way of my home warranty company. The owner Mario called to schedule the appointment he was very polite however when they arrived (over 1hr late and reeking of POT!) they immediately demanded the service fee before performing any work. I payed then 5 minutes later they informed me that my repairs will not be covered under the warranty's coverage plan and that I will need an additional several hundred dollars in order for them to repair on the spot. Sometime later the same set of sockets they repaired went out again and I haven't been able to reach them ever since. My warranty company has no knowledge of the extra repairs and informed me that I must contact them directly. Needless to say I would not recommend this company to any home owners! Mario and his team are fantastic. They are respectful and friendly from start to finish. We hired Pike Electric to install a new electric charging port for our electric car. They arrived and talked us through the process and followed up with an estimate that was very reasonable. We looked at at least five other electricians for this job. They were the only electrician who came in person to give us a quote. We were out of space in our electrical panel so they put in a bigger panel and ran the line out to the backyard. They worked all day long and into the late evening to finish the project for us in one day. They were careful inside our house and even left our drywall holes carefully cut which made patching them very easy. A year and a half later we were having an issue with our circuit breaker for our HVAC. I called Mario and he was at our house in less then an hour, replaced the faulty circuit breaker, and refused any payment for the repair. They are one of the best home contractors I have ever worked with and I would highly recommend them. read more

I would not work this team, extremely rude customer service. I own a warranty service and they were called to fix my exhaust fan the service call maximum is 45 dollars. They came to my house while I was at work and billed my father 200 dollars. When I got home 2 hours later the exhaust fan does not work. I called them to say what is going on? Are you ordering new parts? The owner/agent whoever got extremely rude and said IT WAS WORKING WHEN WE WERE THERE and when I said no it's not working he started yelling at me about the issue. He later stated this was not covered by my warranty. If it's not covered than don't fix it and don't charge someone who has no idea about the product extra money. Again I would not work with someone who is impolite to customers and does not listen. Instead expects that you listen and not hang up the phone. (Again I was very annoyed and instead of getting frustrated I hung up the phone). I agree with the other reviewer that the gentlemen believes he's always correct. Anyways my warranty will assign someone else to come fix the issue but since most of you will not have this warranty I would work with someone else. read more
