We attended the Scotty McCreery concert this week and what a great time! We decided to try the dinner before show! We arrived to park at the parking garage next to the center. Very reasonable at $5 for the evening. The center opened at 6:00 pm for those having dinner with show set for 7:30 pm start. We quickly went through the security line and off to dinner upstairs. I was surprised how clean the venue was given it is a concert location. The areas were set up with chairs, couches and plenty of seating. Drinks are pricey but that is expected these days whether at a concert or a game. The dinner seating was quick and we had a nice view by the window. The buffet was ready so we sampled a little of everything. The Tri Tip caprese was very good. Meat tender served with mozzarella balls and tomatoes were juicy. The gnocchi was pretty great with a thick white cheese sauce and spinach. We also sampled the chicken sausage gumbo. The vegetable succotash was one of my favorites loaded with carrots, celery and beans. The salad was a spring mix with a lemon vinaigrette that definitely had a zippy tart flavor. Dessert was a banana pudding cup. Also super rich with the fresh whipped cream. I also thought the fact the GM for food and service swinging by everyone's table was pretty cool! The John Eldredge Homecoming event was outstanding, the event center is a huge pain! Ridiculous security - takes forever to register, need to download an app, then scanned through every day to enter. I can't believe the people of Colorado Springs put up with this insanity! Lighten up! I don't need to go to a place that requires people to dump their water bottles and walk through metal scanners like they're criminals. read more

Update to my last review. The city of Colorado Springs has eliminated all of the free parking surrounding the Pikes Peak center. The nearest free street parking is over 6 blocks away. How does that encourage people to come to the Pikes Peak center in the evening? read more

This was my first time at this venue, so I'll give you my pros and cons. Pros - It is a smaller venue, has good acoustics and good seating options. Cons - Only one elevator on the right side of the building, lots of going up and down stairs if you're in a box. This could be a deal breaker if you have someone in a wheelchair or unable to navigate stairs. On the Parking Garage - Add a few extra minutes if you plan on parking in the garage, add a few more minutes to find your way out. Pro Tip: Drop any of your elderly or people with disabilities off curbside, that will be on the same side as the elevator and they won't have to navigate all the stairs. Also DO NOT get lower box seats on the opposite side of the theater because they are not accessible by persons who can't go up and down stairs. read more

I've had nothing but great experiences the few times I've been here. The building is easy to locate and navigate once you're in there. Each show I've been to was absolutely wonderful. I've seriously got no complaints and will come back any time I see something I'd like to see. read more

A great small venue in C-Springs featuring big names. Staff are always friendly and helpful and pre-show dinner is good.

Nothing to complain about in terms of a performing arts center, especially coming from CA where the idea of treating yourself to a show becomes more of a distant memory with all the hurtles that exist to prevent you from having a nice time. While it doesn't blow your mind appearance wise, it's got all the bells & whistles: easy/close parking, spacious leg room for the seats, can hold a large crowd, modern accents, & everything was clean including the bathrooms. We were seeing the "Louder with Crowder show starring Steven Crowder & Dave Landau" as a belated birthday gift to me. Sat in row AA which was close enough to be right near the artists but far enough away where you aren't craning your neck. Also appreciated not having to show medical records or wear a "false sense of security" face mask to see a show here which would've turned me off from buying tickets had such restrictions existed. If there was someone or something else playing here we wanted to see I'd definitely come back. read more

Pikes Peak Center is a fantastic venue. From the moment you are greated at the door by the professional and personal staff you are made to feel as if you are an "insider". We were there to experience Amahl and the Night Visitors. Trenton Harder as Amahl delivered a beautiful performance as he interfaced with his Mother, Judy Shay-Comstock. We drove down from Parker and it was well worth the short drive. As there are lots of fantastic venuesin teh Denver Metro Area, Pikes Peak Center should be at teh Top of your list. read more

This was our first time at Pikes Peak Center. We attended the 2018 performance of Mannheim Steamroller. We'd planned to pay to park in their parking ramp but we found street parking - that was nice. Ahead of the show, we had a buffet dinner at the venue. The dinner was decent. The auditorium was larger than I thought it would be. We were seated about 20 rows back from the stage in the lower (orchestra) section - center. Decent seats. The only con I have is the length of the rows. Lots of people have to crawl over your feet to get by. We'd come back for other performances. read more

Came here to see Riverdance. This alone was an AWESOME experience but as far as the venue, not a bad seat in the house. The seats are typical old style movie theater seats where the seats fold up and there's not much legroom, but enough, and people have to squeeze through to get by. They are staggered in such a way that you're not sitting behind a tall person that blocks your view of the stage. Is there ever an occasion where you don't wait in a long line for the restroom at a venue like this? I don't know, but of course there were lines to use the restrooms. I found the restrooms to be clean and maintained. read more

December 3, 2019 - "Bandstand" Broadway play, absolutely delightful!! Live orchestra, and my Loge seats, row A, seat 15 was great. The venue is dated, but it's clean and very well kept. The play itself was outstanding. The venue has semi-comfortable seating, and the rows of seats seem a bit too close together, so your knees hit the seat in front of you, I'm 5'10", and it was a tad uncomfortable for 2 hours. The staff are very, very helpful, friendly and genuine. Upon further observation, the staff go out of their way to ensure a "good time" for all. I don't eat when there, but others seemed to thoroughly enjoy the fare and cocktails. Looking forward to "Beautiful", the Carole King Musical on February 25th. Thanks Colorado Springs for a decent venue to host entertainment and hospitality events! Please NOTE for ladies and their purses, the screening is very inconsistent. There were security personnel that were letting more people inside the venue even if the purse doesn't fit in the "small box". Other security staff were making ladies whose purses didn't fit in "that box" go back to their cars to then hide their purse in their car, (if anyone unscrupulous is watching, it's a dangerous way to have your car broke into and purse stolen), but other security were letting ladies in with these large bags, it's just inconsistent and I overheard several ladies talking about this issue. Personally ladies and gents, just carry a purse that fits in "that box" they use to measure, then you'll be assured entry without walking back to the car and back again. Remember to that Pikes Peak Center parking garage is undergoing construction, so there is limited parking. Really that entire block around the Center is under construction/beautification, so parking is a premium. Personally, I get there between 5:30-6:00pm to get a spot on the street in front of the venue. Doors open at 6:30pm but those attending the pre-dinner are let in at 6:00pm, so they may enjoy their dinner. Now for that dinner, hum, it didn't look very appealing, on the 3rd floor. More like a low end conference room where they set up these large rounds of 10 tables with "not so pretty" table cloths and typical banquet chairs. Also these small vases with one small fake flower that had dust on them. I did ask several people, whom I didn't know how it was, she said "food cold and very loud". The ambiance for the dinner lighting is bright fluorescent lights. Just not my style of a "pre-dinner". Even though I didn't participate in the dinner, I did, once in the venue, I went up to the 3rd floor to observe the banquet/dinner myself and listen briefly what folks were talking about. Personally, I'd eat the fare downstairs for everyone. A nice variety of food too ($), everyone who were eating, ate with pleasure, it seemed delicious, and again I overheard comments from others. A bar is available for those wanting a drink ($). read more

While the event center is nice, there are no in and out privileges which is a big bummer when you get there at 430pm for a Meet & Greet and then have to wait for a couple hours for the concert to begin. The food isn't great and you can't purchase food for a 7pm concert until 6pm, so come w a full stomach. read more

First, the venue was great, the show great! The food was good service was good so what is my problem? Well, we've used the app several times and it worked at first but not the next time and the ticket office couldn't get it in her mind that we had the app and it didn't work. Was the most frustrating thing we've done this year. What a pain to get them to reissue the tickets with the "Bar code" then it wouldn't read it at security. What bull $hit. Should have told them to cancel the entire thing. Next, at the restaurant I wanted to pay for my drinks using cash, and was refused to do so. What a violation of both federal and local law. In Colorado it's HB21-1048. Who would think that somewhere would actually refuse to take US Dollars, why did I spend 23 years in the military to be refused to be able to pay for something which I get paid with. WOW read more

The show was amazing and exceeded our expectations. The food was ok, but the caters were 30 minutes late and we had to eat quickly to get to the show. However, we were given complimentary drinks for our inconvenience. We loved the old style ambiance of the theater. read more

Wonderful venue, but parking takes away from the experience. If you choose to park in the garage on Sawatch (adjacent to the Pikes Peak Center on the West side) be prepared to wait for a LONG time to get out of it. The Pikes Peak Center used to include parking in this garage if you were a season ticket holder, this year, the City engaged Park Mobile to manage the parking in this garage. (They also do meter parking for the City, and most of the time it works.) Last night, after a show at the PPC, we made a terrible error in judgement and utilized the Park Mobile service to reserve a space in the garage. Had a lot of issues getting it to work, but after the 10th time we were successful. We parked on the 3rd level. After leaving the show, we went to our car and attempted to leave. Apparently, there was an issue with Park Mobile and it was not letting anyone out of the garage. We sat, along with a couple hundred of our closest friends, waiting in line. We tried calling Park Mobile to see what the issue was. They only had a 3rd party manning the phones in Atlanta. No help there. Found a city employee who was doing his best to help figure out why we could not get out of the garage. The two attendants at the gate didn't know what to do, and we waited and waited for some sort of resolution. They should have just put the arm up after an hour and let all of us out, instead of holding all of us hostage in the garage for over an hour. I would say that the City, or PPC, or whomever's genius idea it was to add an additional parking revenue stream by holding people hostage in the garage might want to reconsider that decision. If Park Mobile isn't able to manage people leaving a garage after a performance, then perhaps they aren't the right company to hold the contract. Holding people hostage in a garage for well over an hour is a safety issue. Find another lot to park in unless you don't mind being asphyxiated by carbon monoxide and then getting home at midnight after what was an enjoyable show. Kind of ruins the evening! Do better, PPC and City of COS! read more

We were at the Pikes Peak Center for the Shen Yun performance last night. The performance was phenomenal. The Pikes Peak Center, on the other hand, should be sued for putting lives at risk. My wife is Type 1 Diabetic, requires a small amount of paraphernalia and meds to cover in the event of a low blood sugar emergency - yet due to the Center's absurd and asinine policy of not allowing women to carry purses into the venue, even though we told the attendant that the contents of the purse were a medical necessity, we were forced to take her purse back to the car before entering. Even though we have been season ticket holders for the Colorado Springs Philharmonic (that also performs at the Pikes Peak Center) for years, we will not be back until the Center overturns this utterly absurd policy or at least finds a way to make exceptions for those with legitimate medical needs. read more

All the construction at the parking garage and street behind the Pikes Peak Center makes it very annoying, but that's got to get finished sometime! I was attending a classical performance of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, which was excellent. The new security system seems to be working well; however, once through the metal detector, you can easily miss the person who should be scanning tickets. I had to hunt her down. The venue is nice for classical music and I'll be returning often. read more

This place is a great venue to see a concert and probably even better to see a play. Seating about 2k, it is a smaller venue, but that just means the views are better. However, the one drawback is it is clearly made for people to sit and look at the stage, at a concert were everyone stands, if you have a tall person in front of you it isn't graded enough to easily see over them :( Acoustics were good. Seats were wide and the aisles were too. Parking is attached and was only $5 (although a maze to find the right doors out - signage please!). All in all it was a nice venue. I love the Pikes Peak center in Colorado springs....beautiful venue Two years ago I took my wife there for dinner. That dining room they had. I had such a good dinner experience. I went again two nights ago... I was blown away by their stingy portions. It was Mexican tacos....they filled the taco a quarter way. And great service but a bit overboard. A different waiter or waitress comes every five minutes to ask if you need anything. For 30 each before tip....I'll go elsewhere next time. I came for the Nutcracker performance and I have to say it's hard to beat a live performance, with an amazing orchestra, for such a price. I got my tickets straight from their box office at the theater. This saves about $8 of presale that is usually charged when buying online. To this I was lucky enough to be able to add a military discount for my friend's tickets and a student discount for my own. So we basically got 2nd row seats for approximately $45!!! I'd say that's about short of stealing! I am stoked that there are so many choices for live performance arts here in the Springs! I can't quite give it that 5th star, because truly it's not top notch broadway productions or anything like it. For the Nutcracker in particular I felt like the scenography was truly lacking. So bare bones. Also after having been to other productions (in Denver, OKC, NC, etc) I can tell that this is not up to those levels. HOWEVER, I am still VERY GRATEFUL to have this center so close to home. Especially in the winter months, when driving to Denver is rendered difficult by way of inclement weather. So I will not complain too much. I love this center and will come back as soon as they offer a production that I am interested in. :) read more

This review is about the actual Center, not the performance so much. Colorado Springs is blessed to have such a fine facility. I have attended everything from youth dance recitals, operas, Heart, Arlo Guthrie, Blondie and the Philharmonic. Plus Judy Collins twice. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The acoustics are wonderful, the air conditioning silent and everything is as it should be. This last time was the Philharmonic doing the music of Star Wars. Great stuff, but a lot of very similar movie music, half of the show devoted to Star Wars and the other half to something else would have been better. The conductor did have one thing wrong. He spoke of of a radio station, call sign KYS called "The Kiss." Actual call sign was KYSN, 1460 on your dial, calling itself "Kissin." He is probably not so much to blame as whoever gave him this errata. read more

I love this venue! It is a great size and the stadium seating has plenty of room in between the rows to walk in front of people without feeling you are going to fall down! (Unlike the World Arena- that place is scary!) I enjoyed the beverage/food policy- basically you can bring anything in to the theater itself! No scarfing down drinks or food in the ahllway before the show! I would have liked there to be more drink vendors as the lines we incredibly long! Although, I did go to see Daniel Tosh- a young stand-up comedian, so it could have been that it was just the demographic! I wish they would have better shows/performers here... We just went to Pikes Peak center and thought the pre-show dinner would be nice.,WRONG! Very unorganized..was 10 minutes late opening up for dinner...FOOD WAS TERRIBLE, green salad was terrible..instead of tomatoes.,cucumbers, etc .had apple slices and grapes..yuk! The ribs and Fri-tip were so tuff couldn't cut or chew them. For $30 should have eaten elsewhere..DON't waste your money!! read more

Oh my what a BEAUTIFUL location!! Colorado is already breathtaking, now imagine seeing it all from the mountain top! The park staff was extremely friendly and informative in a good way, though he also explained that at times they close the park when it snows due to avalanche probability. Thankfully this day was not it. Albeit it was really cold outside.. maybe 13*?.... But the views are just stunning. Looks like a postcard from every angle you look. So it's also good to ascend slow, as roads may be covered in ice (I went in Nov-Dec) and some turns are rather sharp. Also the oxygen levels deplete the higher up you go. There are several shops and stops throughout which helps to take a break, get souvenirs and grab something warm to drink. This is one of the parks that I will cherish forever, the beauty was just outstanding, and really gives you a sense of how insignificant we are compared to nature. Next time would love to go in the fall to witness the turning of the leaves!! read more

Was instructed by staff that there was no standing allowed during concerts and if you do insist on standing or dancing while the music is playing you must go off to the side, but is strictly forbidden at your seat. Prefer if it were a stated policy before buying tickets. Run the place as you wish, that's the rules and that's how it is. If you enjoy always staying seated at concerts this is the place for you, enjoy. If not, goes to just about any other venue to enjoy the music. read more

Really disappointed with the seats I purchased for myself and my daughter for the Nutcracker 2017. We paid for great front row seats and the barrier (see picture) is to high. We are the first row above the orchestra and we cannot she the orchestra or the lower part of the stage (feet). The show it's shelf is amazing thus far and is the only thing that is somewhat worth the price. We are seated in Row a #34 & #33. You are better off paying less for higher seats. read more

Been to the Center several times in 13 years. Nothing super special or fancy, but it's always clean and the acoustics are decent. I like the layout - there really aren't any bad seats. Except for the tower, I've sat in all the other sections... at least twice. The Center's medium size is perfect for me and I've seen some great shows and concerts here. It's generally pretty laid back, even for the more formal concerts. I've seen a smattering of anything from full-on suits to jeans and sweatshirts- all at the same show. Always a family-friendly atmosphere for Warren Miller movie night (which is what we did this past Friday). Either my ears have become more sensitive, or the volume to the movie was cranked a bit too high for me. Overall, I'm glad we have a place such as the PP Center in town for the community to enjoy some live entertainment. read more

A great experience! I bought tickets to see Tchaikovsky: Symphony no. 4 and brought my wife out for a date night. The accommodations were quite nice. We basically sat on the back of the stage (which was a first time purchasers fault at this location), I do no recommend sitting anywhere on the balcony sides if you are seeing an orchestra, the sound is not as good as it should be from the stadium seating in the front. Other than the seating, they offered food, snacks and adult beverages in the lobby. Decent pricing. We parked in the parking garage for $5 but do not recommend parking higher than the third level, it took almost 30 minutes to get out from the 4th. read more
