Worst experience I've ever had with a body shop. The work was ok (I would rate it 3 stars), but the service was terrible. I had to bring my car back 3 times for them to fix details that they overlooked the first time. The new owner Reuben has no business sense and is a pain to deal with. If there are any issues that require him to take responsibility, he will do whatever he can to deny them, if you can't prove them. This includes avoiding your phone calls and being confrontational. Really, I would have been happy with just an apology for a minor mess up (even if they didn't fix it). But instead he argued and told me that I was the one responsible for the issue and there is no way that his guys made any mistakes. This was insulting to my intelligence and indicated to me that he is either naive or a liar. Some of the issues that he argued with me about is that when I went to pick up my car, there was marijuana in the door (which was illegal in MD at the time), and that a part of the door was missing. If you value your sanity and your dignity, take your car elsewhere. read more

Regretfully since the ownership has changed, the service and communication is subpar. My car had to be brought back within a week to address a problem that they failed to address the first time. As a result it cost me twice. They chose to charge me instead of acknowledging their mistake and do the right thing. My recommendation, go elsewhere. Will probably cost less, be done better, and you'll have better communication. Buyer beware. read more

Tommy and all the workers at Pikesville Automotive always do a wonderful job repairing and inspecting my car. I have hired them to do body work on my car after it got scraped up in my building's garage. It now looks brand new! They even gave me a free estimate beforehand. I have also hired them to fix my brakes when my fluid was running low. They had my car all fixed up and ready to go in one day, which is very impressive considering how busy they are. On top of that, they keep a few cute fish in the lobby for guests to look at while they wait. These guys are great. I took my car here after having a bad experience with a nearby dealer. I brought my car to this dealer because my car kept dying while I drove it. I thought it was an alternator problem but the dealer found nothing wrong during their "test" of the alternator. They then repaired many other things, telling me they "may" resolve my problem. They didn't. They kept my car for a week and my problem still existed: my car broke down again three days later. At Pikesville Automotive, "Doctor Tommy" (who actually came recommended to me by one of his nearby competitors) took my car on a ten-mile test drive and discovered my alternator was intermittently shutting down. He reported this to me before charging me for anything. He the replaced my alternator, test drove it again...and let my car run by itself for over an hour to see if my problem came back. It didn't, and I had my car back in two days. I will admit, I write this review only three days later, without a whole lot of driving in between...but so far my problem ha not returned. If it does...I'll be taking it back to Tommy. My only complaint is that I had to call them for all information, they never called me, even when he was waiting for authorization. But this does not keep me from giving them five stars. Their care and customer service is the best I have experienced at any shop. read more

This place is a rip off, the owner is absolutely deplorable, and I won't be coming back. I came in because it was closest and I had a flat tire that had been replaced with a donut the day before and I wanted to change it for a regular tire I had in storage, so I took the car to the shop. He charged me $35 for the job, which is already ridiculous, and he tossed my donut in the trunk. When I asked him to put the donut back under the car, he told me it would take him another 30 minutes and he would have to charge me that much more. No way putting a spare tire back takes 30 minutes. Also, the main guy working who looks like the owner is really rude and patronizing. read more
