The food is well prepared and the staff are friendly. They keep the seating area outside clean and the inside looks clean too. You can tell the manager here actually cares. Cheese sticks are a go to snack when I'm on the go. This place does them well. The one in Owens Cross Roads and the one in Rainsville taste like they've boiled them in oil - greasy and limp. The ones at the Scottsboro location always come out perfect. I'm heading there again when I go through town soon. The Pikeville Store/Restaurant still makes the best Cheeseburgers around the Scottsboro area. I have not ate there in the last couple of years. Dewayne and Connie owned it for many years and then sold it to the current owners. The quality hasn't changed still a fabulous burger. What has changed is the price. I ate there numerous times during Dwayne's rein. When Dwayne's last owned it, a person could get the same cheeseburger / fries for about 6-7$. Now, it's like $12 or $13 dollars to buy a cheeseburger/ fries. This is why I finally threw in the towel. I think they quit supper time some time ago. Great quality food, nice people, but prices sky rocketed pretty much immediately when they purchased the place over. Dewayne kept it reasonably priced and people used to eat there while enjoying the place for many reasons. Old school atmosphere, people treating each other with respect. It was the best in the state. Now I am sure that continues on when they are open. I heard from many friends the same thing, price. I wish them the best. Their burgers are still really good just way too expensive. Sorry, but I am just being honest. I hope many customers are very happy with the quality. read more
