They gave us our campground and we were on our way. When we got to the lot, it was much smaller than it looked on the website which was unfortunate because we were 6 people. We went back to the office and while they were fully booked, we ended up getting switched to a lot 3x the size as our original. We were SO happy with this. The grounds were kept so nicely, the bathrooms were incredibly clean, and there was a firewood/ice truck making rounds to keep the fire and party going smoothly. The lake view is absolutely gorgeous and the beach is kept very nicely. Overall great experience!

There still some thing to improved on. 1st at the dump for RV the black top has this high mount where I saw an Van crack their bottom plate that should be fix car part are to high in price. There is just one little thing the shower heads are good if you are 5 foot 8. And not for anyone taller like 6 foot. But it was a great time camping. Good Job

There were ZERO campsites available anywhere in the Catskills or Adirondacks. After looking for hours, I came across Tin Teepee website. They held their last tent site for me until I got there. The owners and employees were very friendly and accomodating. I had my two dogs with me, which can be an issue at private campgrounds. There was plenty of safe places to walk them. The staff let us know where we could go hiking and swimming too. It's mostly an RV park, but I would go back.

Today, we rented a canoe from the Rancho Pines Campground office. It was a very quick walk to the…read moreoffice which is also a little store with things you may need while camping. You can rent mountain bikes, canoes, pedal carts, and inner tubes for little money. The nice owner was happy to explain that you should paddle up river as there you will find two little islands and the end of the northern portion of rapids. We grabbed four life jackets and two paddles. Short walk down the hill, picked up our canoe, and walked a little further down the hill to the launching area. It was an absolute beautiful canoe ride north with little resistance against the current. When we reached the two little islands, the kids and us ventured around and swam. We saw lots of birds, fish, and even turtles. We paddled to the rapids and walked around the rocks. So many trout and other fish. Water was a tad cold. It was such a great time. Paddle easily back with the current. Dragged the canoe back up the hill and returned the life jackets and paddles. The owner asked how our trip was and happy to hear the details. Next, we had a fire to cook our hotdogs and corn on the cob. Ate and read our books is the best weather ever. Then, we immediately jumped into the swimming pool for some more water fun. Everyone around here is so kind and happy. Highly recommend this for single, couple, and family camping fun. Peace and quiet with a little relaxing adventure thrown in.

Yes some of the buildings are in need of repair (the building in Barbara C's pictures), but they are being worked on. This facility is run by a husband and wife and they are doing a fabulous job to keep up with all of the repairs and keep the facility looking nice. To Barbara C, Rome wasn't built in a day and repairs to buildings aren't fixed in a day as well. Also, you have bathroom facilities in your camper so why didn't you use those? The playground equipment is not in disrepair it is in good shape and the children I saw playing on it seemed like they were having a great time. As for the game room, did you happen to see the "New" game room? Obviously not, as you would have seen that it is very nice. As far as hearing the Northway, hello you're camping right next to it so you're going to hear the traffic. As I said before my weekend was very nice, and I would recommend this campground to anyone that was looking for a nice small family place to camp.

If you play horseshoes country haven has professional pits, Beautiful Pavillion where summer time campground parties are put on by the owners. Baseball/softball field to use, Giant swimming pool that is heated. Playground for the kids is always full of happy children, And a mini golf course that is just great. The owners sell and deliver firewood to your lot. Just a Great all around place to stay all season.

Been coming here every year for the last few recent years and everytime we love it. Rooms are all updated , clean and my tween daughter says aesthetic ! Ac works great, WiFi is way better than alot of other places up here Staff is so amazing , present and accommodating . Like family! Owner is always available too and has always promptly messages me back too and you can't ask for more than that. Location is perfect. Close enough to enjoy the village if you want . Close to Bolton - where I find myself hanging out more and more . And right on the lake . We rent a boat slip for easy access & it's well lit at night too . Grounds are beautiful with well maintained flowers . We Won't stay anywhere else - every year they are improving something and I love that level of continued growth and care!

Just came back from an extended weekend and we had a great time. We were part of a family retreat…read moreof 25 people with children of various ages and everyone had a great time. The young ones spend 3 days running from the brand new pool into the crystal clear lake. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were very spacious and the staff were awesome. They have tons of activities to keep the kids busy for 3 days kayaks, paddle boards, peddle boats, rafts, pool table ping pong. The kids fished and swam while the adults soaked up the sun on the beach all just steps from our room. They have 3 gas grills so we BBQ'd a lot as none of the adults felt like going out. At night they have a few really cool fire pits that they start for you and there are tons of wood steps away. The views are incredible. We stayed last year also and had a great time just never got around to a review.

Lake George, NY - we visited during a winter carnival weekend, and a Phantoms & Fireworks ghost…read moretour at the fort was in the events lineup. As someone who isn't really into military history but loooves everything spooky (and once upon a time belonged to a paranormal investigation club), of course I was up for some haunted fun! The ghost tour runs at night, obviously, as the midday sun isn't exactly conductive to maximum eeriness. Our guide kicked things off with a talk about the history of this 18th century British fort against the backdrop of the French and Indian War (and an apocryphal movie starring Daniel Day-Lewis). Then comes the main event, and we were brought to the casemate (basement), supposedly the most haunted part of the grounds, as it was used as a field hospital for wounded soldiers, and well, many didn't make it. Our tour guide was fantastic, equal parts historian and campfire storyteller, and regaled us with tales of entity encounters, paranormal happenings, and other unexplained phenomena. Are the stories real? Exaggerated? Completely fabricated for tourism purposes? I have no idea, but baby I got chills! If you believe that a place can carry the residual energy of suffering, deaths, not to mention infection-prone surgeries without anesthesia, perhaps these stories are believable. Note: the daytime vibe is basically just a normal historic fort, so the day tour is a pretty different experience, and doing both isn't redundant. I didn't really get to look around the museum cos I didn't want to be left behind alone after that terrifying finale about a girl who wandered off alone during a tour (no spoilers but that one made the hairs on my arm stand up!), and anyway I wanted to check out the gift shop, where the bright fluorescent lights and people are.... Finally, what a great gift shop! There's a nice assortment of souvenirs, practical items, and knick knacks, and I even snagged some cool finds on sale. My favorite score was a scratch-off card of the Catskills 3500 peaks (shoutout to Peakquest), a reminder for me to get back to peak bagging instead of ghost hunting.
