Great food to be honest is it like other place for breakfast sure but it worth trying new places and experience different services as well. So I treated my family to breakfast the other day (there were 8 of us). Food was ok, service was slowish but ok. Paid my bill and handed our server Sharyn a 25% cash tip. I forgot my cheaters/glasses so when we got home and I looked at the bill and there is a large party 20% tip on the bill? Sharyn never mentioned that the automatic tip was applied to the bill. My friend and I have been going here for breakfast for many years - since it was The Breakfast Club. They're making it fancier, but the food and ambiance aren't the same. We weren't greeted as long-time customers as we were in the past. The hash browns weren't crispy (downright soggy) and we got the two smallest eggs I have ever seen. Pancake and bacon were okay. Since I work out at a gym in the same strip mall, I finally tried this restaurant. Sounds like it was recently renamed and is under new management. It has an old school feel and definitely needs updating. It was pretty crowded when I was there, but we were seated immediately. It's kind of small and feels like the neighborhood diner. I have been going there when it was the breakfast club. Was top notch. Now a new owner took over. Wow the quality of food has steadily declined. Always out of ingredients. Prices has increased several times. And the food taste worst then Denny's. The servers are the same and are so nice and accommodating. But the owner is rude and childish. This area was hard to find a breakfast place so when I saw the 4 stars I figured how bad could it be and I stopped by. The place is in a strip mall in the land of never ending strip malls one after the other after the other so parking was fine. The place is dated and on the dive side with it looking well worn was my first impression. It's not the cleanest with splatter on the wall and the glass in the picture in my booth. It looks like a garage sale threw up all over the place with all the country clutter as the decor. At 7:30 it's starting to fill up on a Saturday and it's mostly an older crowd of regulars. You could tell the service was going to be a problem because it was just getting started before the place filled up and I'm just sitting there on my phone waiting for someone to come over, my water took a good five minutes to hit the table. The menu had all the regulars but the country skillet states it's there best seller so I opted for that with scrambled eggs for a change. The skillet looked good with a pile of scrambled eggs on top and a side of country gravy. The skillet was ham, bacon, sausage, cheese, hash browns, green pepper, onion and mushrooms with a side of Greek toast. The skillet hit the table with no toast which she said she would be right back with, I like to start my breakfast with the toast to make a mini sandwich of the plate. I'm sitting there for a good five minutes while my food is getting cold as she is working the tables around me, still forgetting my toast and she finally sees me and says your toast and now I'm just annoyed with the no toast issue. The fluffy scrambled eggs had a weird texture like moist saw dust, kind of mealy which was completely turning me off. The skillet vegys had all the crispness cooked out of them and mushy. The whole breakfast was super average and nothing wowed me in any way. Now I'm just ready for a box and my check so I can leave and I'm still just sitting there and finally I asked the hostess for a box when she seated some people near me. The service here sucked and I could have been on my way much faster from another place I thought. My only high light from the visit was the complementary soup to go that I was offered while paying, they were stacked up next to the register so everyone must get one while paying. It was like a tomato beef barley and nothing special with very little beef but with some crackers it would be ok as a snack. read more

Place looked clean and no complaints. Interestingly they get the coffee from Hawaii, but from Kauai instead of Kona! Didn't really think it was all that, but maybe still better than the usual restaurant coffee sold elsewhere. Kauai is where they make Rum not coffee. When in Kauai you drink coffee from Kona! If you're paying premium for Hawaiian sourced coffee, get it from Kona and make the price you're paying worth it! read more

I just went there around 12pm today for a brunch with my goddaughter. The 2 person seating is literally in the center isle where everyone walks on both sides every 2 min which makes that very uncomfortable. Different I have been to many breakfast places and most of them offer the same fare. Not Niko's, they do have some of the same items but they also have some new items. I was there more than a week ago and still thinking about their food. I had the bocado omelet and the Spanish omelet. I love avocado in any shape or form, raw or cooked. When I saw that they had an bocado omelet I new what I wanted. It comes with bacon and it is really good. But the Spanish omelet is even better with onions and mushrooms. They also have some of the best hash browns I have ever had. Toasty and perfectly seasoned. Pancakes are good as well. In my list to try now is the skillets, they look amazing. The place is located in a strip mall next to a gas station. Very easy to pass it but if you have this place in mind you will go around maybe a couple of times until you find it. I come here all the time and absolutely love it. This one star review is for George and George alone. He seems to be in charge. As I sat at the counter, I witnessed him pick food from multiple plates and eat it. He then got mad at the waitresses for bringing to his attention a problem with the kitchen. Telling them to shut up multiple times. He even threw in a "chinga tu madre" to one of the ladies for good measure. (Google it if you don't know.) This place was just "ok". The good things were: 1. They were open on a holiday (I went on the Fourth of July) 2. My waitress was pleasant 3. The wait time was reasonable What I didn't like: The food was "just ok" (in terms of how it tasted). I ordered the "Health Nut Omelette" which consisted of egg whites, avocado, turkey bacon & cheese" my toast (of which I upgraded to French instead) was also "nothing to write home about". The coffee was decent but I prefer flavored cream (as opposed to adding more sugar) and they only had regular cream. Niko's is tucked in a little shopping mall with hardly a mention of it's presence. Honestly, I have drove past this place so many times going into Mount Greenwood and have never stopped in. Finally before looking for an apartment that day, it seemed like the perfect excuse to stop in some breakfast. Since it was Sunday, I was prepared for a long wait. But even though the place was small and crowded with people, we were seated in five minutes. The waitress came over and we immediately greeted with coffee (big plus).
