I have been to Kat 8 times, and have been getting electrolysis for 8 years with other several technicians Despite my sessions and trying my best to be polite and leave tips so that I could get good care, Kat forgot i was a returning client on my 8th session which made me wonder if she has any system for remembering your concerns and electrolysis power level. She is a cash only business. She doesn't always have change. The face mask requirement gets in the way doing upper lip and other areas around the mouth, and she doesn't take the mask off or use a towel instead of a mask as of april 2022. However, her fear of Covid means the place is clean and there's no denying that. She also doesn't run a timer so often she lets you out early. Most sessions she was running late and texted to let me know. It was rare that I got treatment the full time I paid for and even more rare that the session started on time. Also, she was the only electrologist who left me with bruises on my face. She would push her fingers into the skin and I'd leave with blue fingerprint bruises which take a week to heal. The only electrologist who asked me to ice my face. Electrolysis works when done correctly, the issue is that there aren't people that can provide the careful attention required to zap each hair for an affordable cost When I was at Kats, I could feel her plucking almost all the hairs . After each session my hair would get thicker instead of thinner and although 6 months isn't a full cycle, it's enough to know there was no difference and the hair growth was worse. Because of that I feel that I wasted money and time, but I've seen enough electrolysis places to know this wasn't the worst or the best. read more

Hi, I am not good at writing reviews on Yelp, my first time obviously, but I just want to give a 5 stars to Pilosity studio. Kat is a very professional and good hearted person, she is very careful with electrolysis, never misses one hair, and mine are white blond and hard to spot. This past Christmas Kat ran a 12 Days to Christmas Countdown contest on Instagram which was a lot of fun. Check her studio out, it's very cozy, very comfortable and she is cool. A little bit more detailed description, what I like about Pilosity studio. 1. It is a very clean place, and it's very important when it's come to electrolysis. I had a bad experience at another place once, when I was infected with cold sores, it wasn't fun. The last thing you need to get an an infection when you come to treat your unwanted hair. With Kat you don't have to worry about it. 2. With electrolysis if you're not feeling it it's not working. Kat is the exception as she is using more advanced equipment and therefore the pain level at least for me is really minor. As I mentioned I tried a few more places prior to Pilosity and the could be really bad during the process. 3. Electrolysis at Pilosity is performed with integrity and with the end result being "permanent hair removal" in mind. Again, I've gone to a few electrolysis places and with Kat I have seen the bet results, the regrowth is slower, and some hairs are not coming back at all. Now that some are gone for good we can move on to different areas to work on. 4. This may not be the most important point but Maybe not the most important one, but her studio is nicely decorated and scented. You get the big salon feel and service but the intimacy of a boutique studio. Kat loves what she does and I can feel it comes across in her treatments and the environment she has created for her clients. 5. Prices are very affordable too, considering that I'm having a good progress it's totally worth it. Kat never asks for tips, never adds anything on her own, and it's very rare to find these days.
