I've been going to Hot Spot for years and I always feel well taken care of. This business is run by two sisters and is a small operation which allows them to give their full attention to each client. The space is always extremely clean and comfortable and they make you feel very welcomed. It's also a very convenient location with a private parking lot attached to the building and street parking out front. I would definitely recommend giving this spot a try. So it's been a few months since my last review.. I just did my 4th and 5th session today :) I had my face and underarms..and brazilian. By end of March I shall be done :) You'll see results right away. After 2nd or 3rd session, you will see no hair growing back. Or at least very very little.. I told everyone laser hair removal was the BEST investment ever! I tried electrolysis for at least 8 months and it was painfully not working. Finally, I decided to try laser hair removal and so happy I did. I finished all of my sessions with Hot Spot Laser in 2012. I didn't touch the razor for at least 2 full years. After that I would say about 1%-4% of hair grew back but I could deal with it. I have light skin with dark hair. I understand that laser won't work on some people but it worked for me! But you should always do your own research about laser first so you know what you're getting into. Like others said: 1) Commitment, you need to come back when they tell you to. I believe the norm is 6 sessions (7 if needed). 2) Stay away from tanning. 3) The pain is temporary, ask for squishy stress ball. You'll forget about the pain before you drive away. I went back for my first touch-up last weekend (5 years later!). They said overall less than 4% of hair grew back. No doubt, they provided an excellent service. I love these ladies!!! They are very, very busy, so you should call at least a month ahead :) Parking: easy free street parking. read more

Wonderful women, good experience, very pricey! Marine and Narine are SO SO lovely. I had my first laser experience when I was in high school with them and they made me feel incredibly comfortable. The Laser: Snapping rubberband just like everyone says! Pretty painful, I held a stressball, was pretty red, and needed a break every once in a while. It was on my bikini line which is extra sensitive but I recently tried a new lasor salon and it was almost painless! I'll have to see if the results are the same but most people say they are. As great of an experience I had back then, I chose not to return because the prices are double their competitors which is a big downfall. I just realized that I never left a review for these legends. Let me explain- I have always had a frustrating relationship with my hair. With naturally pale skin and dark, coarse hair it always visually stuck out. I'd shave my underarms and legs and minutes later have a 5 o clock shadow. It was depressing and I soon embarked on a ton of treatments which were costly and unsuccessful or just a pain (waxing). It has now been about 2 1/2 years since I completed my treatments with these lovely ladies and I want to tell you - LIFECHANGING! I wish I could give Hot Spot 10 stars!!! This place has been an absolute life-saver for me. As a total "body-hair-hater," I would shave my arms and legs everyday, and I could not be happier that I never have to shave at all now! Before moving to Pasadena, I had tried a few other places but never got results (plus the machines they used were super painful), and in my first session, much of my hair stopped growing back and I needed no numbing cream at all! I did full arms and legs, underarms, as well as brazilian. I only wish I had found Hot Spot sooner and not wasted time and money on so many other places! I researched many laser machines, and their machine was reviewed as the best, which led me to go to them in the first place. I had found more expensive places with not as good machines, as well as slightly cheaper places that had reviews of people saying they were scarred with pigmentation for life! The girls here know what they're doing. The procedure's quick but definitely not painless. What gets me really isn't the pain but the smell. Yup, smells like singed hair....or burning flesh even. Hot Spot Laser was recommended by my boss. Last year, Feb 2014 I had finished my last 5th session for the under arm. I got pregnant on March 2014 so I was not able to do any touch-up until yesterday. That is appx 21 months due to preggo & breastfeeding. Since then the hair only came back 10%!!! You hear rumors that pregnancy will ruin your invested laser treatments,I myself was concerned. But thankfully the pregnancy did not affect my laser treatments. Got my legs done Today also. This was a big deal for me because in the past I was burnt by a popular laser place in Glendale while taking "advantage" of their killer promotional deals. These girls are nice, knowledgeable, and most important of all, know what they are doing! I avoided laser for so long, even though I badly wanted it, because I was worried I would get a botched job and be disfigured for life (dramatic I know, but it happens). I also have darker skin being Indian so I was especially worried about discoloration. I went to see Hot Spot upon a referral from a coworker, and I have not been disappointed. They have never messed up and have never raised their prices. The results on my face is that my skin is hairless, smooth, and even my minor breakouts are reduced.
