The hotel felt newer, clean, had a comfortable bed and amenities, nice gym, and good free breakfast. A couple minor inconveniences: while very much a first world problem, several times during the stay the coffee station was empty and a lot of people seemed annoyed to have to wait. People had to ask the lady working the breakfast area to restock some items, but she did so quickly and it wasn't really an issue. I would stay here again if passing through.

I was ECSTATIC that it was SUPER DUPER clean and the reviews were right! The looks of this place looks a little questionable at first esp when we got there, their main parking lot was blocked off. I found out they were resurfacing/resealing it and that was why it was blocked off. But do not fret, this place is super safe and clean despite being a little in feom the main road by 93. The lady who checked me in was friendly and very sweet. Once I entered our room, I was SO HAPPY to see it was spotlessly clean! The towels they use were fluffy and did not smell moldy or musty. They were fresh and thick! Everything was clean, even the AC unit, which unlike other places did not smell old or musty at all. I am telling you, this place was/is SUPER clean and all the reviews raving about this place weren't lying, they were definitely justified and this place fully deserved it! The shower pressure can be improved cuz it was very weak but since it was clean, this is very minor. The room are keyed entry locks which is very modern. Ours was a little finicky but once we figured it out, it was no big deal. The bed was VERY comfortable. We slept so well and was so happy we found a lodging gem in Wells, NV! This hotel can be booked directly on their own web site, so try that instead of going through a 3rd party platform. (I will do that the next time if I go through here again). If you want super friendly, down to earth staff and super duper clean room in Wells, look no further and don't even hesitate, BOOK HERE!!

The a/c was loud & leaked water when it was on. The tiles around the ceiling air vent was clearly needing repair but when I pointed this out to the manager, she claimed she did't know it leaked & just brought me towels for the floor. I asked to be moved to another room & was told there was no other open rooms. Then literally an hour later someone checked into the room next door! It was extremely loud from cars/trucks on hwy all night! I was so grossed out & barely slept but there was nowhere to go at the point we checked in. I tried to find a place but nothing nearby came up. I will NEVER stay there again & warn others to reconsider..... Its one thing to be outdated & simple but it should be clean.

This is a fun blast from the past…read more I'd guess it was built in the 60s or 70s. No modern amenities. Falling apart. Uneven floors. Noisy because it's right by the road. Floors uneven. Room is small. But it reminded me of when I was young and traveling cross country and when motel rates were $10 for the night. I remember those days fondly. The great thing about this place, besides fond memories of a time gone by, is it's welcoming. The owners are simply friendly people. Strangely, being noise sensitive, I had the best night's sleep ever with the best dream I've had in a long time.

Wendover as well as West Wendover are right at the Utah border and they go by the next time zone, so you gotta change you clocks for that. This hotel, The Best Western Plus, is not my usual hotel chain we stay at for travel, but there weren't any Holiday Inn Expresses in town, so I just picked this place as some place sort of similar with, you know free breakfast and clean rooms and a level above Motel 6 or something. Checking in was no problem, all credit cards taken and the staff was friendly. My crew seemed happy not to have to travel any more. We lugged all out stuff in and got to our rooms just fine. My room was clean and the first thing I do is try to log onto the WIFI. It works fine and speed is OK to get my work done. The bathroom was nice and the hot water had good pressure, cause I could use a long hot shower right about now. My little water tank at home just runs out too fast! Everyone else said the rooms were fine. Breakfast was on level with most free hotel breakfasts. Coffee was hot and the food was too. It's nice to have a little change in breakfast choice from our usual Holiday Inn Express. Tomorrow is back on the road to Salt Lake. At least the speed limit is 80mph!

Got us checked in quickly . Room is nice and comfortable. Ate dinner at the Mexican restaurant inside the casino. Played the slot machines for several hours. Floor staff were also very nice. By contrast.... Roberto at the bar closest to the service and front desk was horrible. Couldn't get my player card to work while trying to play a poker machine and he continued to harass us after we ordered a beer. We had played several hours and had no problems on the floor with the 2 beers we had. He continued to hover and continually asks" are you gonna play , buddy?" Over and over. We were playing but had a glitch with the card not reading my loaded $ on the player card. Asked what the deal was.... we're trying to get the card to work. He said" they are watching" you need to be playing to have a beer. True and also we were playing. Just having a card issue. Finally just told him to take the beer back and went to the front desk to get a new card. Didn't come to be harassed and treated rudely by the bartender. We are paying for a room, ate dinner at the restaurant, playing the slots all day and he was very out of line. Don't go to the bar where Roberto works!

I reminded her I already gave her 10.00 for one and she denied it. I said you don't remember standing just 10 feet from here you don't remember. At that time another gal showed up conveniently and asked if she could help. I told her the story and she immediately took the cocktail waitresses side and said they have cameras to look at if needed. I asked to look at it then and showed her the spot she took my money and the time. She then asked me to leave the casino. It was only 10 bucks but it was the principal. If people are going through hard times you don't need to steel from others. There was 8 of us from Montana that stayed down there for a week for the first time and will be the last time. My advice definitely get your drink first like they normally would do.

Another girl at the desk inserted herself into the situation and was rude and raised her voice at us. Both rooms my family stayed in had air conditioners that were incredulous when they kicked on. Thank goodness I never have to return to Wendover again.

It is a basic hotel with a mini casino and little cafe restaurant called Cafe Blanca. People can smoke in the casino but not in the rooms but it's all in the same building sharing the main hallway so you definitely smell the smoke. Says no smoking but in reality the whole place is smoking. The room has extremely thin walls so you literally csn hear other peoples conversations. There is a tv, mini fridge and basic bathroom. Make sure you bring your own everything because they dont give sample size anything. The room was $84 for a one bed which was a very old spring bed. You can not change the temperature in the room since it's in a lockbox. It was 85 in the room all night, so we couldnt sleep. We did try turning the wall ac on and it was extremely loud and didn't cool the room off, maybe a degree or two. It is much cheaper than the other casino but extremely basic and old. Also the windows are glued/painted shut.
