I'm only giving this location a 5* because some guy named Jake was a rockstar when the establishment was seemingly understaffed. He bounced between cashiering the register, assisting a guest w/ a fax/copy & an annoying special request from me to get my pizza cut in half when he then went into full fledged food service standard mode. He was very respectful & professional w/ all the guests & patient w/ me when there were other guests stacking up in line. I'm assuming he's a Manager & if not, definitely Management material if this is his regular MO. Go Jake, great job! Thanks for demonstrating that customer service is still a thing! read more

On the road with family for our someday-annual reunion one of my aunties kept saying we were getting close to Weed. She said this at least five times so we took the hint and stopped at the Pilot. She's a very morally upright, church-going, non-drinking, non-smoking kind of auntie and I think stopping in a place that sells "I [heart] Weed" T-shirts made her feel naughty and like she really was on vacation. It was a pretty nice break for the rest of us as well. They've got a lot of hot foods, a Subway, some fruits, drinks, tourist gift items, tampons, OTC headache meds, etc. The line goes fast and the guy at the counter called me 'sweetie' and things like that - some women get their hackles up over such things, but it makes me feel like the world isn't so full of strangers after all. I kept hearing over the loudspeaker that "[so-and-so] your shower is ready." I looked it up and it is what it sounds like. They offer showers to professional drivers. Really cool. read more

Tight parking for rigs the plus is that there is a section that is specifically for rv's and fifth wheels. Store is clean restrooms are also clean and stocked. Shower was clean. There is a grocery store across the way. While I was not able to venture to it, I am told that it is a good place to restock the rig. Makes eating healthy a bit cheaper as well as easier. The staff we helpful. There is a UPS, FEDEX TRIP PASS,would be nice to see a regular outgoing mail slot (blue united States mail box) . I know it an outdated concept but I mail my grandson and daughter in law post cards as often as possible. read more

On an exhausting trip up to Portland, the fuel tank was in need of a refill so pulled off the freeway and randomly picked Pilot. Best decision ever. The location is absolutely amazing and I wish that we weren't in such a rush to get back on the road so I could wander around the shop and get a bite to eat. The bathrooms are immaculate- Nordstrom level bathrooms and they have showers! Showers! The store itself is quite large and they also have a wide selection of hot items that looked amazing but they did not seem as travel friendly as I would like. It looked great but I had little faith in myself and my husband. If you are traveling on I-5, I would highly recommend this location to stretch and take a breather from the road. After visiting this location, we stopped at other locations thinking that all Pilots are like this location but I learned later on that this is not the case, which makes this location even more precious. read more

Stacy is a mean lying prejudiced woman I've been going in there for 7 years and I've never had a problem traveling from California Washington state but today I watched ignore me I listen to her yell my personal financial amount I was getting from Western Union Outloud in the store and then somehow follow through with the transaction and sent me to another store I don't live in this town I find the store and my transaction is still locked up so I go back to flying j I don't told by her agenda start the whole process over and go to another store. read more

Every time we go there we see creepy people hanging out begging. There was a beggar hiding behind the propane box where he can't be seen until you are right there at the front door. He scared me when he moved all of a sudden, reaching toward me begging for money. The outside front of the store walkway has sales stuff that these people hide behind and you can't see them. There are signs posted in the area and there are people parked right in front of the signs begging. The employees refuse enforce the posted signs. This place is getting worse very time we stop for fuel. The fuel prices are highest anywhere and you would expect some level of safety. There were two different groups begging there last week. These people get mad and get confrontational if you don't kick down. Come on Pilot clean up your act. We don't have this problem at Loves... Loves doesn't allow it.... read more

I have to say this is the best truck stop ever. Aside from gassing up, food, coffee, they have a great gift shop. I gave this 5 Stars because they not only had big boy size Tee's, but the had the funniest too. So many play on words with Mugs, hats, kitchen magnets, and so on with the word "WEED." My tee says "I Love WEED, (in small print a little lower), California." So for a great funny gift and great customer service, this place is busy. Also a great place to get up close and take pics of Mt Shasta on a clear day. read more

This location is very clean and has a lot of different food options nearby, as well as the Grocery Outlet which is great. The parking here is pretty tight, but there's plenty of other places to park nearby. The road west of the Grocery Outlet has parking & a turnaround so you don't have to worry about getting stuck. There's also some parking in between the McDonalds and Starbucks. You can park on most of the other streets as well. Overall, this is a nice Pilot and we enjoy stopping in Weed whenever time allows. read more

The pizzas are so good. Get the mega meat pizza. Can't beat the price, less than 12 bucks! Plus it's made fresh even the dough. I will admit it can be a little greasy but hey hey hey, come on now it's pizza for Pete sake. Other then that it's a decent stop. Plenty of snacks and drinks. read more

Well, it was clean, but I can't really recommend this Pilot. We were staying down the street so we went two days in a row. Both days, a sign clearly states the price is "2 for $4." Both days they charged $2.50 each ($5). The first day the employee corrected it after viewing the sign; the second day the employee (different one) did not bother and said "sorry." Ummm, I hope you know advertising one price on a specific item (yes, the sign matched the product- two of us double checked TWICE) and charging another price is illegal in California. But it's a gas station. So, whatever. Just keep rolling and don't stock up here. Gas is probably just fine here and the restrooms were clean. read more

Extremely poor customer service and poor management. Stood waiting next to the register with four employees including the manager on hand and no one made a move to ring up a simple cup of hot chocolate. Manager told us to go to a different register, but the girl at that register said, nope this one is closed do we played musical registers until finally some one was willing to ring me up but she couldn't get the debit machine to work so I walked out. I tried calling the manager to complain, but he did nothing except briefly apologize and make excuses for himself and his employees. read more

Always super packed, but it's a great location off I-5. I mean, you can use the restroom, get gas, get food (they have a Subway inside), etc. Biggest pet peeve with this location is that every time we visit, people leave their vehicles parked unoccupied in the gas "stalls"...which leads to frustration and anger. I mean, if they're gonna go inside and not pump their gas right away FREAKIN don't park in the gas "stalls"....so irritating. read more

It's a Pilot travel center, they have most everything, this one me have the upgraded showers and bathrooms as most do now, staff is friendly, fresh coffee, has both fuel for truckers and gasoline for cars, note the fuel island for truckers at this location is pretty much always full be ready to be their about 30 minutes, what more can I say. read more

Horrible customer service. Stood in line at least 15 minutes to pay for my diesel fuel. No one came to the counter. I finally cornered a clerk and she instructed me to go behind the single regular line. As soon as I move, a clerk comes up and waits on the people behind me! Really!!! read more

Very rude customer service. Spoke in a very condescending and belittling manner when asked a simple question about the merchandise on more than one occasion. I would not be surprised if they spit in the food as they prepared it with their attitude. They will need to replace their staff in order to become a reputable establishment, and until that happens, they might as well be considered a trash dump or waste plant before a gas station. I would rather run out of gas on the freeway and push my car home than purchase anything else from these scum. Not to mention their scam pricing. Avoid like the plague. Long lines. And you think you will never get anyone to help you. I come here all the time for gas. But must avoid going inside for anything or waiting for propane. Omg can't they hire a couple more people to end the long lasting lines or the long waits for propane?? Hire hire hire. With all the business you have hire people. Today I had the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a truck stop I've been a loyal customer for pilot and Flying J for the last 3 months or so today at the pilot in Weed California after I had purchased $465 worth of fuel I approached the cashier with the other Supplies I needed and ask him to give me 6 chicken legs and two burrito he retrieved from the deli chicken wings when I pointed out that he had gotten wings instead of legs I asked him to correct the mistake he told me what difference does it make it's all the same I told him the difference is is I prefer chicken legs he insisted that there was no difference between the two and absolutely refused to serve me the food I ask for! this behavior was unconscionable the cashier Jordan was very rude how dare him not give me the customer the food that I requested apparently he was too lazy to correct his mistake so I walked away from the cashier stand to the subway upon my return he said sir you're just too impatient I was going to give you the chicken legs you just needed to wait I told him that's not what you said previously at this point the store manager Kimberly intervene and said she was going to call the police if I the customer who was mistreated didn't calm down this behavior by these employees was unacceptable therefore upon my return from Oregon I will not purchase fuel or anything else from this pilot as long as this rude employee is still employed there. I've probably spent at least six thousand dollars at the pilot around the country I'm considering going to loves truck stop they know how to treat customers read more
