they broke my door while I was in court, as the victim in a criminal animal abuse case. My cat WAS NOT IN DANGER.

If anyone wants to know how their Animal Care Officer's time is being spent, PACC officers believed someone who is not me, does not live with me, does not have access to my home and is legally barred from my home abused one of my cats(there is no evidence that proves abuse). So Officer Berrios pieced information from a completely unrelated matter (the state attorney's exact words) together, got a search warrant, broke my door and took my other cat, the one who had never been injured. The person they suspect of abuse? Still has has his dog, that he had adopted FROM PACC. PACC spent your tax payer dollars fighting me in court, Officer Gagnon specifically came to the hearing, instead of giving back my perfectly safe cat and using their time to save animals who are actually in need. I have court documents, including a hearing transcript, that proves everything I just said and I can share with whoever wants to review. I have nothing to hide, meanwhile, they likely committed a Brady Violation by excluding evidence that was favorable to me.

    Ear mites

Got a German shepherd fewdays ago and turns out he has ear mites and they didn't do nothing about it before we got him they treat these dogs like sh** they say there a no kill shelter when they have pictures of dogs in the front adoption office that are on the kill list that u can see horrible place they don't take care of these animals at all!!!

Pima animal control has absolutely no transparency they had my dogs for three months. I asked several times to visit them and was denied. They murdered my dogs yesterday I was not allowed to say good by to them I can't fathom how cold hearted and in compassionate you have to be to kill two companion animals and refuse to let the owner say goodbye

    Cayde

I adopted 2 beautiful cats from here back in September Lewis and Arley (later renamed to Cayde) . They claimed that both of them were healthy. Well it turns out 2 months later we brought in Cayde to the vet because he was getting wobbly. Turns out he was having issues with his Liver. Im nowhere near financially stable to have been able to pay for treatments. He eventually passed away in our home in our arms. Well a few more months later our love Lewis starts coughing and we just brought him in turns out he has lung issues having nodules in his lungs. PACC claimed that both of them were healthy but I found it awfully suspicious that they sent em home almost immediately after neutering them. Not observing them to make certain they would be ok. I believe PACC peddles out sick and dieing animals.

Went in after work to inquire about fostering a specific (injured) cat, as instructed on their website. Initially I was well greeted and the paperwork was initiated... until a woman intervened and told us the kitty in question was "not a candidate to foster." My understanding is that this cat was only returned early because his prior foster left town, NOT because he was fully healed and ready to be adopted. He is still in a full splint/cast. I explained that I wanted to foster with the intent to adopt but it was imperative that the cat meet my large dog first before processing an official adoption. I even specified that I would be willing to pick him up for foster only if he wasn't adopted during their free adoption event the next day. I basically told to F off and left in tears.

I have to say, I was never a big fan of PACC before I started volunteering here. I had no understanding of how much this organization takes on and how hard it works to give animals as much as they can despite the EXTREME over capacitation they are currently facing. The volunteers and staff have so much love and dedication towards the animals. There are so many working parts to the organization and it's really heart warming how much everyone works together and devotes their time and resources to try and save these cats and dogs. While it is heart breaking to see animals in kennels wanting a home, they are fed and watered and taken care of medically. They are given blankets and toys and walks and play time and treats and human interaction. Any dietary or medicinal needs are met. This is not easy to do for SEVEN HUNDRED animals. Thank you PACC and thank you for letting me be part of your team

Got another dog! It's hard to say no and they have hundreds to choose from. Cats as well. Don't look them in the eyes if you aren't serious.

After tons and tons of research and countless hours of looking online, we found The Paw Palace. Paw Palace had the breed we were looking for and had a few pictures online, so we decided to make an appointment. The owners of Paw Palace were so easy to work with and were happy to answer all of our questions with no problem. As soon as we saw the Yorkie that we came to see, we immediately fell in love and took her home that day. Upon purchase, our fur baby already came with her first set of vaccinations, microchipped, AKC papers and about 2lbs of puppy food. The entire process was seamless and we couldn't be happier with our new baby. *Note: Make sure you make an appointment to see any of their animals! We made the mistake of just showing up, as we thought this business was set in a typical brick and mortar shop. They're actually do business out of their home.* Two toes and two thumbs waaaay up for The Paw Palace, and a HIGHLY RECOMMEND from me! Good luck on your new puppy search, my Yelpers!!!

Please do not support puppy mills. This "business" sells over 50 "breeds" - many of which are…read moredesigner mixes. "Hypoallergenic breeds" are just mixed breed poodle mixes. When breeding F1 puppies - the puppy gets one set of genes from each parent and the outcome can vary widely in a single litter in coat type, size and temperament. She is selling Merle Havapoos - neither Havanese or Poodle naturally carry the merle gene. They will try to say it's a recessive gene - it's not. Merle is introduced from another breed that naturally carries a Merle gene. When breeding for color, breeders will breed double Merle dogs which lead to health issues. Selling these mix breed dogs for $3,000 is crazy. This is how much I paid from an ethical purebred breeder who health tests all her dogs through OFA (which is the standard of health testing - and saying they are health tested by genetic testing or at the vet or through embark alone are sales tactics), offers free holter monitor testing for all her puppy buyers when puppies reach adulthood, embarks her puppies free of charge. Her dogs are proven through conformation titles and sport titles. I can meet the parents of my dogs (and have). I can look at our breed registry and track my dogs lineage. Most importantly my dogs didn't come from a mill. This business brags that she gets her puppies from "trusted USDA-licensed breeders" which simply means she's sourcing puppies from breeders who sell puppies site unseen, sell puppies to pet stores and who have a large quantity of breeding females. USDA standards are minimum care standards, not quality standards. They can have dozens or hundreds of dogs, breed frequently and keep dogs in kennel buildings and still pass USDA inspection. Many puppy mills are USDA licensed. Ethical breeders do not sell their puppies to pet stores. They want to vet their potential puppy buyers and make sure their dogs are going to homes that are a good fit. No ethical breeders breed doodles. It goes against the breed club for Poodles. No good breeder would allow their high quality poodle stock or the breed being mixed in, to make doodle mixes. This means that these parent dogs are being sourced from unethical breeders as well and it's poor breeding stock being used. Then, OFA health testing is not being done on these dogs. So people are mixing a lot of unknown genetics in for profit. They are not breeding with structure, health and temperament in mind. Ask about OFA health testing on both parents - they should be able to provide results on the OFA website from both parents. OFA has different tests for different breeds - please research what each breed should be tested for and request to see those results. Doodles should have tests for both breeds. Ask about registration - all dogs should be AKC registered if they are a purebred dog. Doodle registration is meaningless and anything other than UKC or AKC registration is a sales tactic. AKC registration alone does not equal quality. It just verifies pedigree eligibility. I would not consider a purebred dog that could not be registered through AKC, but just because they are AKC registered does not mean they are ethically produced. There are "designer registries" like: Continental Kennel Club (CKC -- not the Canadian one), American Canine Hybrid Club, Various doodle association. These registries do not enforce strict breeding standards, do not require meaningful health testing and mainly exist to create paperwork for marketing. Ask to meet the mother of the puppy you're interested in. Ask about tittles on the parents of the dogs that were bred. Ask about how many litters the mom has had.

I am a first time puppy owner and Cassandra helped me pick out everything I needed before I brought him home. She sent me pictures and videos of him while I prepared my apartment for his arrival.
