For a first time experience with handgun instruction and actual shooting for my sons this was a great and safe experience. Clean range, well signed and knowledgeable staff. Thank you

this was my first time shooting guns, but it was SO MUCH FUN!!! the guy that ran the range the day we were there happened to be from NJ, so we chatted about where we lived, Wawa, and other Jersey things. He was super nice and walked us through the rules and even told me not to be nervous, that noone would laugh at me for being a beginner. The actual range is well kept and clean, lots of seating and places to put your giant bags of gun paraphernalia. We brought these awesome zombie targets (hey, you need to be prepared!), and had everyone at the range asking where we got them and saying they loved them! Only downfall was a group of macho dudes who refused to stop shooting so that we could clear the range and go get our last target to leave. they were too busy readjusting their scopes every two seconds to notice us standing there patiently waiting for the range to go cold. but, that has nothing to do with the actual range itself, just the douchebags that you can find anywhere. and it turned out i was a natural :) headshots on the zombie target from 100 yards with a .22 pistol and rifle, and a .40 pistol! i can't want to go back and kill some more brain-munchers :P

This is a very professional gun range. They have movable target boards for your desired distance. It's well maintained and worth the cost.

Fun for family, good for kids. We brought our own guns and had a great time here. It is an outdoor range and is not very crowded.

They also organize some very fun round-robins where you play with different people every match for 6 games total. It takes just under 2 hours and is a ton of fun. The staff are very helpful and friendly, they made me feel very welcome. From time to time if you need a 4th player one of them will pitch in and play a few games to make up the 4th. I have made extensive use of their demo paddles - use of a demo is free if it's just for an hour or two. It's allowed me to try out a variety of gear before I commit the funds to buy. I've used the ball machine once so far, but plan to use it regularly once my travel settles down. They also provide a "bucket of balls" for serve practice, which has been great if I need to sit out a round or two when we have extra players. Check to see if they accomodate your Medicare Part D Advantage plan, as I get a nice discount on my membership that way. I am a happy customer.

Will run with the standard 1X-2X trip with the grandkids (age 10-12) here over the summer. As always, rooms are pretty decent. Tad bit dated, but not bad by any means. The pool and the incredible view(s) are the real catch. Very good pool, magnificent views. Shout out to my boy Joey and the awesome Danielle at the pool. Really nice young staff who do a great job. The pool is definitely where it's at. GREAT drinks, pretty solid poolside food. We ordered room service late in the evening. Not a bad Chx quesadilla, but not like ordering at the AWESOME poolside bar. All very good to excellent in the end. With prompt/friendly service at the front desk when checking in/out, and outstanding service from ALL of the pool bar staff we interacted with. Been going to the El Conquistador since day one in the late-80's, and they are doing doing a great job re: staff and the view is incredible. Rooms are certainly nice as well.

I will update again in a few months!! Update: we've now been at ATA for quite awhile and my original review stands. The student teachers and Mr. Kim are great and even days my daughter says she doesn't want to go bc she's tired, she ends up having a huge smile on throughout the entire class. I read the recent reviews about Mr. Kim and I've never seen anything like that happen, including removing a stripe! I can't imagine what would lead him to take a kids stripe! He's always joking with the kids and most seem to get him and play along. I've never seen flicking but he does do little bops on the head to remind them to block and always be aware of your opponent. My daughter doesn't pay attention a lot of the time, staring at the ceiling and or playing with her belt but I've only seen him call her name to get her attention back. I'm sad the other family had this happen and am shocked by it bc I only see positive interactions when we're in class. Anyway, we love the location and the classes and I hope my daughter wants to continue as she gets older.
