I had a friend in town who wanted to do a pedicure and I was roaming on Yelp to see what I could find as I'm fairly new to Vegas and don't know where to go. Pin Up came up on this list and I thought they had reasonable prices so I called to see if they could fit us in together mid afternoon to which they could. Upon entering the establishment, I noticed it was busy but not too busy. It seemed clean and nothing seemed rundown. We were greeted by a tech who told us to get comfortable once we confirmed we had an appointment. She offered us something to drink. I asked for water, my friend asked for Diet Coke. The soda came in a can for all of you Diet Coke connoisseurs out there. There was chatting amongst the nail techs but most of them focused on their clients mainly. My tech was super nice and made sure I was comfortable and would check in with me periodically to make sure I was comfortable and relaxed. By the end of our appointments, we were satisfied with the service. I would give it a 4.75 stars if I could only because our service seemed a little rushed. I know they need to crank out clients as quickly as possible to get in the next one to make money but a little more time would have been appreciated. Horrible place! Soon as I entered a Hispanic nail tech aggressively asked if I had a design for the nails I said no. I told her I want a new set. She still continued to ask did I have a design? Like I told you twice already how many more times I need to tell you??? I finally sat down with a tech I told her narrow almond she said ok. She was really rough with my nails and I did get skin burns. The nails were not narrow. They tried to upscale cat eye nail color I said no thank you. Nail tech proceeded to give bad looks and talk in vitamanese. They were about to close and asked for payment I said how much they said $48 for regular nail polish for $20 more gel polish. Before I went I texted with the owner or someone they said $30 and the cashier said that's mistake but still did not honor. I got fed up and paid. I asked 2 try three colors tech said only pick one that's too much work for me. This place is a hot mess they couldn't even understand stand I wanted to see a pallet in pink and reds.....avoid at all costs -5 stars if I could. Beautiful & clean salon. Appointment making was easy also. I did feel like the service quality was just mediocre. My nails look nothing like my inspo-photo. Any idea I had they encouraged I should do acrylic instead in order to execute the design. I went with friends and we all asked for the same pedi but we received different services. I usually go somewhere else for basic nails just to keep the cost down, but really wanted something special for my wedding. Kim did exactly that! She went out of her way to make sure each butterfly was perfectly placed and re-did the roses a few times to keep up to (her standards, not even mine!) I can't express enough how much I love this salon. This used to be my go-to spot when I lived in Vegas 2013-2019. I came back to get my nails done for my wedding this weekend. Update! 7-18-19 Kim called me and asked me to come in so they can fix this! Michelle was the new nail tech and she did a fantastic job and I didn't know that dip treatment was acrylic powder! Michelle did a great job educating me on the difference between the two! I'm gonna stay with the regular gel polish from now on! Was greeted very nicely by the staff. Horrible experience. The old guy who worked on me badly butchered every cuticle with his drummel trying to speed through the appointment. (Posted photos) One of the most painful mani's I've ever had!! The man was very rough every step of the way & it was obvious he was just trying to get through it as fast as possible. One of my fingers was bleeding for over 10 minutes. He didn't even apologize when I said he was hurting me. ??? On top of that, it was absolutely freezing in there (other customers were commenting too) And the woman running the place was on the phone with her cable company & had the call on speakerphone for a long time, it was irritating everyone nearby. This may have been the worst, most unprofessional salon I've ever stepped foot in. Majorly disappointing considering all of the positive reviews. As a professional model having my hands look butchered in photos is completely unacceptable. I have a tradeshow event all week which is why I got my nails done in the first place, and now I have visible wounds on my nails which can be seen in photos taken of me this week. Not to mention my hands being sore for the past 3 days already. This establishment should be ashamed at the sloppy way in which they run their services. Absolutely disgusting. I was hoping to love this place because it's so close to my house but didn't have the greatest experience. Haven't been able to get my pedicure because I've been super with traveling and my children's sports. So I called made an appointment for me and my daughter and the nail tech rushed through it, didn't buff the bottom of my whole feet, just the heel part fit a second, quickest massage ever. My daughter is younger and has been getting her toes and fingers nails painted. Hers usually last about 2weeks and the nail tech must of thought it's just a kid this time, so she didn't buff her nails and just did a quick paint job and it peeled off the next day. Maybe I go to cheaper nail salons? This one was pricy for me. Usually my daughter is no more than $20 for mani and pedi (she's 5) and I only get regular nail polish. But it was $12 for a manicure and $20 for a pedicure. I had a gel manicure and regular pedi with nail polish. It all came out to $87 WITH the 15% off for being a first time customer. I usually only pay $67 for my daughter and I, mind you that's me having a full set put on... they didn't offer me any drinks or anything special I don't have from other salons. This salon is literally 3 mins from my house and for some reason I would always go to this place by my job super far away. So I finally decided to check them out and I'm glad I did. I got the regular pedicure and it was nice and they offer you drinks as well so I got a water. The chairs have little massagers and the whole experience was pretty good. I needed a fill as well and am pretty happy with the results. They even got the shape I wanted which for some reason is a real struggle for a lot of salons even though it is such a popular shape. However the paint job could've been a little better on the toes & I like my fills to be all the way full to the cuticle. The prices were as listed on their website which was nice because I knew how much it was going to be before I went and they even offer 15% off for your first time. The reason why I am doing 3 stars instead of 4 is because with my nail fill he started using gel and I had to stop him because I had never asked for gel and he didn't ask if I wanted it. The gel is $15-$20 more and that was a little shady to me considering he didn't ask if I wanted it or tell me the price of it before he started trying to apply it to my nails. Otherwise I will probably go again and keep my eyes peeled for them doing that, the lady who did my pedicure asked if I wanted regular or gel so it was only my nails I had this issue. read more

I was in the salon this afternoon for a gel pedicure and walked out with my toes completely butchered. See pictures Three of my toes were cut during cuticle trimming and one would not stop bleeding. No matter how much green "medicine" as they would call it, was placed on my toe or SUPER GLUE, it didn't help. My feet look disgusting and I walked out super upset. I normally do not write reviews but I am furious!!! When I went to pay , they wanted to charge me full price- $$65 for the gel pedicure, I asked for a discount as my toes were still bubbling out blood and couldn't even put on my shoes. I was told WE DONT DO DISCOUNTS. To me, I shouldn't have even been charged or services stopped. The tech was constantly apologizing and said it was her fault as it was and knew I was in pain from how deep the cut was. The business failed to make it right and so that is why I am posting this. I was a repeat client and gave them a shot today even after my last pedicure that was gel wasn't cured properly and had wrinkled wet nails. Just go. I am new to the nail game and this was my third spot coming too. My first two places didn't match the experience for the prices I had paid. It was unpleasant and painful at some points cause I was nicked several times and even got a cut on my finger from their tools. So my expectations were low when I walked into Pin up. However, I have found my spot! both my mom and I went and I could not be happier. They are fairly priced and my girl was sooooo gentle and took her time! Not once did I feel discomfort.
