I wanted a little something healthy so I stopped by this place after my Costco run. I ordered the pitaya bowl and a lala smoothie. The shop was very clean. It was also very empty. I was the only customer there and they still messed up my order. Well, more like they made the smoothie but completely forgot about the pitaya bowl. I had to show my receipt as proof that I paid for 2 items. A little more of the good old friendly customer service would've been nice...I ended up having to wait a total of 20 minutes to get my full order. What I liked about this place was how they used fresh ingredients to make the smoothie, but I felt they were a bit over priced. The pitaya bowl was good, but for $10, I was a bit disappointed how my bowl had a lot of empty gaps. It would have been nice if they had pressed the frozen pitaya so I could get a little more for my money. They were also limited on toppings, so I actually took mine home and added more toppings. This is the newer of the two Pina Smoothies shops in Poway. They are in a suite next to Dollar Tree that is not highly visible in the Poway Crossings shopping mall. The inside had a cute decor that gave off a tropical, fresh market vibe. I was their only customer when I visited near the end of business hours for that day. Smoothies, fresh juices, acai bowls, ice cream, and milk shakes were the menu offerings. The featured smoothies were available in three sizes at 20, 24, and 32 oz for 7, 8, and 9 dollars respectively. I chose the first one on that list which was the Acai variety. Acai organic juice was blended with orange, mango, and blueberry. The deep purple mix was fresh and fruity although the orange and mango flavors were obscured by the acai and blueberry. I came here at 11:30 on a Sunday afternoon. The shop was completely empty. 0 customers. I ordered a mango bowl with no strawberries and coconut, due to an allergy. I got my order and brought it home and it had both strawberries and coconuts, so they didn't even listen to my order change what-so-ever. Mistakes happen, but when I'm the only customer in the store and providing a fruit that a customer is allergic to should not be acceptable. Will not be returning. read more

This was our first time trying this place out and we loved it! The kids had the kids meal and I had their banana crunch smoothie. Everything was fresh and delicious and the 2 people behind the counter were very welcoming. We also kept getting little samples of the smoothies they were making and that gave us an opportunity to plan what we will be ordering next time. The have a really cute kids corner with books and color pencils that I thought was absolutely adorable. My only suggestion would be to add almond butter to the menu. We will be back! read more

I ordered the green juice; I asked for pineapple to be added. The juice tasted ONLY of cucumber. I ordered two. Without even telling the other person what it tasted like, she made a face and said "it tastes like nothing but cucumber!" I give it a 1 for the drink an a 2 in total because the ambience helped. It's definitely a cute place and nice for after a work out to relax or catch up on work. Maybe I'll try something different and give it another shot! read more

This is my new go-to for açaí bowls and healthy, refreshing smoothies! Spontaneously came here on a hot afternoon when we were craving an açaí bowl and it's a really good portion size to price ratio. There may not be as many fancy toppings as other places, but all the essentials are there and the taste is actually really really good. I saw how they were whipping up the açaí and there's quality effort there. Came another time and got the Happy Night Energy smoothie which was surprisingly yummy for a very healthy sounding option. Heads up, protein powder is an additional $2.5 and I personally didn't love the taste but the smoothie was good overall. Can't wait to try their other options! In addition, service is always so friendly, it's very clean inside with some seating available and a cute, airy atmosphere.
