TCH Social is the new version of Texas Card House. Located at N. 183 @ Anderson Mill Rd, the location is right next door to the Austin Aquarium. The previous location was just on the other side of the street. This location is huge, fancy, has a fully stocked bar, solid kitchen menu, and has a unique up beat vibe to it. This place has likely now become the best poker card room in central Texas. Poker cardroom clubs can exist in the state of Texas by charging for a private membership (like a golf club) and not taking any rake off the poker table. Many poker card rooms have opened in all the major Texas cities. Daily membership here is $10/day, or $30/month, or $300/year and to play at the table it runs at $12/hr. You can view the table wait lists using the PokerAtlas app. The staff running TCH Social are doing a fabulous job. Everyone is professional from the dealers, floor staff, front desk check in, bartenders and waitresses. There is certainly plenty of poker action for No Limit Holdem, Pot Limit Omaha, and a large amount of weekly tournaments to play in. You can tell there is a lot of players here with a lot of money to gamble with. The venue itself is big, clean, and very modern looking. TVs are everywhere to watch any live sports. You can also go just to the bar area if you want to mingle and just have some drinks without playing poker. Prices for drinks are quite fair. The food menu should also be noted as having some very good dishes. I spoke to several players who were impressed how good their dishes were. Bar & kitchen will stay open until 2am, so you could even visit here for late night food. There are many poker card rooms in the state and they all vary in size, quality, staff and many other factors. TCH Social lives up to hype as possibly being one of the best card rooms in the entire state. For any long time poker players or people that just want to start playing, TCH Social is a great spot to visit.

I do believe some locations are nicer and safer than others but I won't get into that. This location is nice and safe. And very well run. Obviously, TCH Austin is going to see enormous market-share gains due to recent events in the area. I believe smaller TX rooms without a fun vibe and character will fade away, market-share will continue to improve for TCH across the state and GTDs will continue to move higher. Side Note: Bullets and Champions are smaller rooms that are fun and have character and are on the good side. I believe the same thing will happen in Vegas. All the poker rooms at the ends of the Strip are closing, which is leading to increased traffic for the bigger and more centralized rooms. There is only one poker room left at the end of the strip and I think it has a few years left at best. However, Vegas rooms that are fun and with character--just like in TX--will thrive. I put South Point at the very top of that list. Getting back to TX, I think TCH is at zero risk of suffering the same fate as other rooms and will become an absolute juggernaut for a long time. Even if the casinos move in, they will likely buy the brand--if it gets big enough. These are just my thoughts and opinions. If you're a poker player traveling to TX for a poker tourney, I highly recommend TCH.

I already had a full social life and…read morestrong female friendships, but many of my friends were married or in long-term relationships, so I decided to give this group a try. Overall, I had a lot of fun and appreciated the effort the hosts put into creating engaging events and helping people connect. They were welcoming, attentive, and clearly invested in making sure attendees felt included. I also enjoyed the variety of activities offered and even had the opportunity to travel to Thailand with the group, which was a unique and memorable experience. Because many of the women in the group already knew each other, it sometimes felt a bit harder to naturally integrate socially, especially at larger events or on trips where smaller groups formed. That said, I did meet kind people, hosted a Christmas happy hour that was well attended, and had many enjoyable moments through the group. My biggest takeaway for others considering joining is to move at your own pace when it comes to dating and not assume that everyone is there for the same reasons. Like any singles environment, intentions can vary, and it's important to set boundaries and get to know people gradually. Overall, In the Loop provided fun experiences, travel opportunities, and social connection. With realistic expectations and self-awareness, it can be a positive experience for those looking to expand their social circle and meet new people.

The vacations they plan are so much fun as well.

When I called in to the store to tell them, Rob cut me off and told me that the table never had missing parts, just missing screws, and they don't do refunds. I didn't want a refund, nor did I ask for one. Rob was oddly smug & disrespectful yet works in customer service. I let him laugh in my face before asking for corporate's number. Not a hint of attitude or sass on my part. I assume he was overacting because he knew he was wrong. And I guess today, I'm a Karen. Calling corporate now. For anyone who needs that number, it's 512-478-2165. Will not shop here again, just because of that interaction. Not because of the initial honest mistake.
