Cool experience! Love the music and it's good for a night out. I like the variety of claw machines.

There is a covered patio which they do take reservations for large groups. Sports wise they do have huge tv screen to watch football/ baseball. It's a very fun atmosphere. Don't miss out.!

I'm sorry y'all I do not get it. We went because we used to be obsessed with Recuerdos, I was…read morecraving their fajitas and queso. We planned to sit inside but my word, inside was disgusting, so loud, and full of unsupervised young kids. We ended up sitting outside, no one said a word to us, not a word. We figured out how to scan the menu and order. Food came and the queso was more like beer queso you want for pretzels it was not recuedros queso just for those going for that. Kids meal was $10, came with fries and 2 chicken tenders, they were thin one of our girls wouldn't eat them, no drink that we know of as no one helps us. The tacos were packed in a tin and were so greasy it ruined the other tortillas. My carne guisada was huge chunks of pure fat. We left after spending $100, tipped 15% because I couldn't bring myself to do less but other than someone running the food to us the did nothing. We did self serve water and the flies were so bad (as to be expected outside) we had to just throw away stuff as we were "done" with it so nothing for them to even clean up. We left disappointed and hungry. I truly do not understand where the 4-5 stars are coming from. Service was non existent, atmosphere was run down and dirty, food was sub par at best. Two stars only because of I was in my mid 20's and looking for a place to watch a UT game it was totally my vibe. But other than the Vision it is a 0-1 star for me. Ugh I'm so sorry :( maybe we just had a bad experience.

Endlessly fun and dynamic, Kung Fu Saloon balances good drinks with games and music. Easy to find…read moreand even easier to find parking since it's in The Domain.Upon entering they have activities like a fortune teller, outside area with games, and photo ops. The place is very sleek and modern looking and the interior is clean. There are a lot of games inside and a central bar that keeps the drinks rolling. We ordered a few drinks, all of which were good, nothing crazy but good. The real fun here is in all the surrounding games. From skeeball to basketball to pong, there is something for everyone and when you're a few drinks in it becomes even more fun. The live DJ was a plus as good music kept rolling throughout our time there and the fun atmosphere was very palpable. They even have a photo booth so you can commemorate the night forever (or don't, your choice). We've been to Kung Fu Saloon multiple times and whether it's a night where you want to sit down and just talk or get into a few games, it has always been a good time and we recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, casual experience.

Many from Central TX are familiar with spot as there are locations in Houston, Dallas, the North Austin/Domain area. This location in the Domain is like the others in that there are free unlimited old school games for adults like skee-ball, pinball, arcade games, etc. The bar has a laid-back feel and features 24 beers on tap and a specialty Sake bomb menu. Conversely....Texans may recognize this bar's name from some controversy it's generated over the years. The bar chain came under heavy scrutiny for what potential guests insisted were racist door-management policies. Given the furor this generated, it was probably easy to overlook that the Kung Fu Saloon was repeatedly investigated by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) over the years (Yowzah). Controversy aside, this place may be worth a visit if you come early and have the place to yourself. When the bar is full, service is often slow but drinks are still poured with a heavy hand. In addition, the food is that of dive bar standards, therefore it is advisable not to come to this location hungry.

Sunday marked a great one year with my current girlfriend and someone who means a lot to me. We had…read moreall these ideas on how to celebrate and spend time together, but the weather in the forecast really killed any ability to plan an outside adventure. Luckily, I had an ace up my sleeve and called an audible by suggesting the new Stranger Things: Catalyst experience at Sandbox VR. My girlfriend is a huge Stranger Things fan. It's one of the first shows she was following from the first season until the finale that she got to be a part of the zeitgeist with. The moment I suggested this, any other plan went out the window because to her, this was a must. This was not my first experience with a VR attraction. I got to try The Void when it was still in business at Disney Springs doing a Star Wars experience, and I remember having such a blast with it. This was my girlfriend's first time in a virtual reality space like this. Sandbox VR is the modern, surviving version of this doing a similar concept of suiting you up in a crazy VR suit with a headset, headphones, and a bunch of other bells and whistles before you enter a new world. The one thing that is different is that The Void had you walking through their space in their experience while here you're set in a box for the most part. Sandbox VR keeps you in one space for the entire duration and plays it out like a rail shooter arcade game. Different concepts, but both highly enjoyable. The staff were helpful in making sure we were all suited up and ready to go and we had our pictures taken right before they put us into the room. Once we had our headsets on, the experience started immediately. What's so fascinating about an experience like this is how immediate your brain just tells you that this is reality. You just believe what you're seeing is real. The avatar of my girlfriend is moving in real time, the catalyst is a tangible object I am holding. I am a Stranger Thing or whatever they call it. From the get-go, you are given a brief tutorial as a training and then suddenly the game goes from 0 to 100 and ramps up expeditiously. My girlfriend was hootin' and hollerin' the whole time as demogorgons (and democreatures as she calls them) were flying up on us and attacking us. You're genuinely in panic as these things get close to you. The anxiety feels real. The audio, the visuals, and everything in between just gets you immersed in it. The experience lasted about 30 minutes and by the end I was sweating profusely. I'm in pretty decent shape, but I was an absolute mess by the end. After all the equipment was taken off, we got sat next to a TV to show us our scores to see who leaves with bragging rights and is crowned the MVP (it was me by the way). On top of that, you are shown three videos of the VR experience that are recorded during your play. It scenes from the virtual world with a real camera that's pointed at you acting like a fool. Here, we got a dance scene from the end of the experience, a vertical video, and a horizontal trailer. Each were extremely humorous and given to us free of charge with our purchases. I know it works as free advertising for Sandbox VR to give you those videos to post online and all that jazz, but places like this still seem to charge for the memories. To get them included for free as a little keepsake is an incredible gesture and makes me want to try another experience. As for the videos themselves, they are still frying me, and I've watched them numerous times since the experience. If you are a Stranger Things fan, the Catalyst is a must-try. For someone who's only seen 3 episodes but has a good understanding of the show through osmosis from my girlfriend, I had a blast. Even if you're not a Stranger Things fan, there are 10 other experiences to try. The price with everything considered was pretty fair, and we truly had so much fun that I think it was worth it with what value we got out of it. The 20 second video we got of my girlfriend screaming the entire time might get played at our wedding one day. Who knows! RIYL: An experience out of this world
