Stopped in while on vacation and unfortunately it was just okay overall. I ordered the crab legs with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The crab legs were pretty dry, and some of the gills were still attached, which was honestly a little unappetizing. The broccoli tasted like it came straight from a frozen bag and wasn't really seasoned. The mashed potatoes were decent but nothing special. Honestly, I've had better crab legs at restaurants back home in Michigan, which was a little disappointing considering we're visiting a coastal area. The drinks were okay but a bit on the weak side. Service was slow, but I do want to give some grace there -- our waiter was also the bartender and seemed to be handling all the tables near the bar by himself. He was very friendly and clearly working hard, just probably stretched way too thin. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience, but the food didn't really live up to what we were hoping for while on vacation. read more

To dip we ordered garlic bread and fresh cut fries. Everything was perfect from the Pina colada's with dried coconut on the rim. I peeled all of the shrimp and dunked them in the garlic sauce. So good. The ambiance is nice mellow music played low to hear. It is without reservation that I recommend this spot. Don't pass go and go. It was getting late and we wanted to eat close to our hotel. I went with my parents on a late Monday night. We arrived at 8:30pm, and was sent to the other side to check in. We were given a 5 minute wait, not because it was crowded, but because they were only two servers working at the moment. We were seated after 5 minutes to a small booth in the back. I ordered the small mahi mahi with coleslaw and mashed potatoes for 17 dollars. The fish could have been more fresh and moist, but it was still decently grilled and just enough to satisfy. The coleslaw was better, as the cabbages and carrots were fresh and flavorful with the right amount of seasonings. I also enjoyed the mashed potatoes that had the garlic flavor. I also tried my mom's pasta, which was cooked al dente and enjoyable with the Alfredo sauce. I tasted my dad's french fries, and greens beans, which both were tasty too. Thus, it looked like I enjoyed the sides more than the fish. Our server, Veronica, provided quick and great service throughout, and Erin managed her well. The theming seems to be nautical, with fish and boat decorations. It was very casual, so you can dress in a t shirt without any problems. Pinchers is located in Tarpon Point in the village area, which is very close to the Westin hotel. Even though the community is gated, the gate is normally open. Although my mahi could have been fresher, I still liked it. I also really enjoyed the sides. My family and I stopped here on our vacation in Cape Coral fl our waitress Dawn was amazing some of the best service I've had in a long time. She was friendly, good with the kids and checked on us every round threw her tables we didn't go a minute without drinks. She got us everything we needed fast and correct. The atmosphere was family friendly and not extremely loud. My husband and I got the tuna it was amazing there green beans I ordered was amazing. The kids had chicken tenders, crab cake sandwich and fish and chips they loved it and ate all of it. My youngest got the snow crab also and loved it and loved the tools and bucket that came with it I recommend this restaurant if you are craving seafood and a good dinner read more

If you are in the area, this is a must place. If you can make it during happy hour (3-6pm) even better because you get extra drinks. Everything here is fresh. You want an enjoyable evening, my husband is a veteran and we went there and they comped his dinner for his service in the army. Everything was to perfection our waitress it was Carla and she was just wonderful I have a seafood allergy and she made sure that my steak was not cooked hear anything Seafood it was wonderful I can't say enough about the wait staff everyone was just friendly and very helpful. We are on vacation and this place is one of my son's favorite. We got the crab and cheese appetizer that was very good and had a bit of spice to it - which I like. The waitress Sam was amazing. She kept an eye on our waters and brought refills immediately when we needed them. I ordered the smaller portion of Grouper and you get to pick 2 sides. I ordered coleslaw (no big deal) and locally grown green beans that were delicious. I ordered the grouper grilled and it was really greasy and not very good. My daughter in law ordered the shrimp tacos and for her 2 sides she was able to substitute a cup of corn and crab chowder that she said was all delicious. My son ordered shrimp scampi pasta that he said was delicious. With a Premium Margarita for $11 and an Orange Mojito for $10, our total bill was $105. I personally would not come here again because there are so many great seafood places in Florida and I would not consider this one of them. read more

Pinchers Cape Coral is located in a fancy gated area. I really like that they have the brown paper table covers that allows the kids to draw on as well as having the kids eat free deal. The food was super fresh and delicious. We ordered the crab dip appetizer that came with super hot fresh made chips, and as picky as my kids are they ate the whole thing. The patio was closed for cleaning but we got there right when they opened. The service was great and I would definitely recommend pinchers when in the mood for fresh seafood. read more

We went to pinchers in Cape Coral with a large group of family and friends. I have never been here before so it was my first dining experience. I am not a huge seafood fan, but I do love grouper that is my go to dinner. We were given a menu of dinner specials which included black grouper and on the regular dinner menu was gulf grouper. There was a significant cost increase for the black grouper. I wasn't really sure of the difference as I always just order grouper when we are out for dinner so I did ask our waitress what the difference was. She told me the black grouper eats organic and does not have a fishy taste while the gulf grouper on their regular menu may have a fishy taste. Hmmmm....With that being said, I just had a bad feeling about the entire place. I ordered the gulf grouper. I put the smallest piece on my fork and tasted it. It was awful. Extremely nasty fishy taste...It was so fishy. It was disgusting. It did not even look like grouper. It was in the shape of a small brick, not a filet. Hmm....I'm not really sure what it was. I did ask some friends who tend to eat seafood a lot and I was told the organic eating was BS and it was just bad fish being served as the gulf grouper. Like I said, I eat grouper all of the time and I have never had a nasty disgusting grouper as I did at this Pinchers. I personally will never return. First of all I was lied to and second they obviously are not serving fresh fish. I should have sent it back but due to the wait we endured and the large group we had, I simply ate the green beans and the french fries and left the entire piece of horrible grouper. Other people in my party tasted it as well and said it was gross. read more

Beware of the 2 for one drinks they offer. My friend and I each ordered a vodka and water. Apparently we were served deep Eddy vodka with water. When we got our bill we were charged $15 each. I talked to a manager and I also called the next day. I was told that that is what they charge because it's two for one. So they're not giving you two for one drinks they're doubling the price and saying they're only charging you for one. I asked the manager how much they charge for Gray goose vodka and water and was told that it is $14. If you're not aware Gray goose is a top shelf liquor and is about $40 in a store. Deep Eddy's vodka is about $26 in a store. If you look at Pinchers menu most of their specialty drinks are about 12 to $15. So I guess I'm saying don't order their two for one because you're not getting two for one you're paying the highest price for it. read more

We were greeted by an exceptionally nice and professional male host when we arrived, who promptly seated us. Our female server was not the greatest, yes she was pretty proficient, but not the friendliest, very short with me to be honest. The food was really good. We enjoyed the cheesy crab dip and the ahi tuna was good (can't really go wrong with ahi tuna). There was a really obnoxious couple who were playing music outside where we were trying to enjoy a peaceful lunch, something which management should have put an end to, because it definitely irritated their patrons.
