This place is incredible if you want to eat delicious food by the water. Even if it rains they accommodate you with shutters if you end up sitting outside. The menu is vast but everything we tried was delicious and their specials were absolutely incredible. Save room for dessert cause this place does everything well! read more

Usually the food is good. Today's experience wasn't great. We sat outside and it was raining so the screens were down. That was fine but it wasn't pouring and some screens were cracked open at the bottom so we asked if ours could be because it was very hot and humid all sealed up. The server snapped at us that no it couldn't be. It's fine if you just say no you don't have to snap. I had the burger and fresh cut fries. It was very good. The fries are excellent. Another had the snow crab which was very good. Two had the pasta. One had crab pasta which had pieces of shell in it and the other had the Alfredo and it wasn't very good. The mozzarella sticks were not hot. The crab Rangoon was good. And the roof was leaking next to us so we kept getting splashed on. They have good fish and chips too. Well, wanted this to be amazing since the restaurant is on the water but the screens they had up were so thick you couldn't feel the slightest breeze and the view was distorted. Crab legs spot on. Main course - very little protein and a LOT of sides. Could have been more balanced. Biggest down was that the water and well drinks tastes like dirty hoses at the bar. The food was so disappointing, The king crab was so cold. My server touched the crab meat and said 'Wow'. She was also surprised it was so cold. The fries were soft and not warm, that wasn't a big deal. But $70 for cold crab legs? No thank you. Caroline was our server. The only other odd thing was that there was a time period when we did not see her for a long time. Not sure why, The restaurant was pretty empty. She seemed tired but not sure what to make of that. Beautiful setting to meet friends, everyones food was delicious. And Caroline our waitress was beyond great.

Very nice establishment, seems like it's always hopping. We went at sunset and it was very nice to be able to see it out the windows. We were seated immediately even though we were told there would be a 35-40 min wait. Our waiter was amazing and gave great recommendations on what to get, and was attentive checking back in if we needed anything and let us know exactly when our food would be coming out. All the food came out hot and fresh and very affordable. The only reason for the 4 star review was noise level when it's busy, it can be difficult to hear one another in your party. read more

What a great experience! We tried so many different things on our first visit. We had fried shrimp, coconut shrimp, crab cakes, chicken tacos, oysters (raw and steamed), and various sides (fries, baked beans, slaw, garlic bread). There wasn't anything we didn't like. The only thing I would like would be a sweet sauce for the coconut shrimp. The sauce served was hot and spicy and my tummy just can't do that heat. Debra was fantastic and made us laugh and smile many times. Overall, I would be back to try more items on the menu and definitely some repeats of our first encounter. read more

Absolutely love this place! I love that it is on the water and has amazing water views and sunsets of which I have many photographs taken over the last 5 years. The staff is wonderful, and if you go there on a Saturday night, you need to sit at the bar. Jake is the bartender on Saturday nights and is always entertaining and never lets your glass go empty. The food is good and fresh. The happy hour specials with regard to food are only from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. You can get 6 Shrimp, Oysters or Clams any way you like: i.e., steamed, grilled or fried. They also have six large fried chicken wings, and all these items are 99 cents a piece. They come in increments of 6. Happy hour with regard to drinks is all day long! Here for vacation and was recommended to come here. I had the Alaskan king crab legs and they were mediocre at best. Our waitress was very kind and you could tell she was well seasoned in her role. I don't know if I would come back though and I certainly wouldn't say this was top-of-the-line seafood. read more

Million Dollar Fort Myers inlet view from the Pinchers outside patio. We were instantly greeted by the hostess then were sat within 5 minutes. We had a gentleman server, Nekhi, who was polite, attentive, professional and menu knowledgeable. The grilled Mahi and Grouper sandwiches were fresh and tasty. The fries were slightly well done but still tasted good dipped in bbq sauce. We had a Two4One ice cold local Ft Myers High5 IPA beer. The floor manager checked on us twice. The interior was a key west tiki bar theme. The bathroom was very clean too. Would definately return. read more

Sooooo, after much consideration we are going with 2 stars. The server Lily was wonderful. Matching up with other seafood places we have been-- the clam chowder was good, corn chowder was ehh, the black grouper was a bit tough and fishy, Cole slaw good, key lime pie was good but not great. Overall-- pinchers is a chain and not a small business so we got what we expected from a chain. Worth the try but with so many other small individually owned seafood restaurant-- it got 2 stars out of 5. read more

The service by the amazing team of bartenders is what keeps me coming back. Joy, Amanda, Will, Meghan, and Ashley provide the same level of excellent service whether they are swamped or not. They remember people when they come back too...and what they drink. They even know in some cases what food you have had and make suggestions to give you a taste of the whole menu. The food is good too...always comes out of the kitchen hot and made to order. They're quick too...sometimes too quick. LOL It's nice that Pinchers is just a short walk from where I live. We came for stone crabs. I've never had them before but love snow, queen, king crab. We ordered the jumbo claw meal and it included 2 sides. I ordered local garlic green beans and garlic mash. Both were great and I would order them both again. The stone crab came out cold which is preferable for this type of crab. I ordered hot butter with it but it comes with a stone mustard. Fantastic crab meat! Meaty, delicious and very filling. JT was our server and he was excellent. Were local and had questions about the marina and coming in and docking and wanted more information about where the stone crab is caught. He grabbed the manager, Victoria and Lauren, to answer the questions and she let us know they catch them locally off of Sanibel Island and Pine Island. Locally owned, grown and harvested is incredible! She even went in to tell us that each crab has their own finger print. They both went above and beyond. Plus 2 for 1 drinks. We're happy campers and full! Eating the key lime pie as I write this. And the view is obvious. We were there for sunset and it never disappoints! Water views are always magical Well done pitchers! We made multiple attempts to address the issue with both our server and a manager, but it was never resolved. Well the blame is completely on me. I was craving soft shell crabs and this place had some positive comments so I called to see if they were fresh and the man I spoke to said yes, they have their own tanks. What is better than that? I did know going in that their reviews are less than stellar but those crabs were calling my name. Big mistake. When I asked our server Christina how big the crabs were ( not that I cared I just wanted to know how many to order) she said well they aren't in season so they are small. I said well they are in season , I was just asking. I asked about her favorite sides because nothing turned me on so I listened as I always do to her recommendations. Big , big mistake. The crabs came out in Less than 5 minutes and were stone cold. The mashed potatoes she recommended were the absolute worst I have ever tasted! At least buy Bob Evans. Only one bite there. My husbands cut to order fries were also cold. I will say I liked the coleslaw which the server did not recommend. Baked beans my husband had were cloyingly sweet. I'm mad at myself and not them. I should have listened to the Yelp reviews and I did not . Damn me! Lol, total bill with tip 111.20 . Not a good day. The view was spectacular. read more

The service was awful. I eat there often and they put us at a table near the bar. The two bartenders were supposed to serve us as well as serve the bar. We had to wait for them to serve the people at the bar before they would come and take our order. We had to wait for everything because they were serving the bar patrons before us. To take our order took forever, the food took forever to get to us and just to get the check took forever. It was the worst service. I think was a bad decision to have the two people working at the bar serving tables too. It seems to me they were short of servers and tried to save money. It really sucks when you spend $70 to eat and your service is so bad. When I went to complain to the manager she said she was sorry. The hostess next to her was laughing at us. Still a really good experience despite being packed for Mother's Day. They had some great specials going and the price was super affordable for everything we got including drinks. Service was great. We got the crab and cheese dip although not much crab, my crab cake sandwich and fries were awesome though. They make a good margarita also. Parking is slim by the actual property when it's busy. Gumbo soup was fantastic. Wife ordered shrimp, i order the shrimp scampi. For dessert she wanted to order the key lime pie. We both enjoyed the soup very much. Shrimp she said was good and she'd order it again. My meal was decent good, I ate it all with no leftovers at all for me. But if we go here again I will probably try another dish. Don't get me wrong, again I say that my dish wash decent good. It was a different kind of good tasty. Going out to places I'm iffy on eating shrimp or seafood out due to my wife got sick a long long time ago at another restaurant, I think it was a Applebees shrimp pasta dish, and due to bad shrimp she got food poisoning. But this day here at pinchers I took a chance and decided to dive in and try some seafood. I wanted to give this restaurant a chance and the shrimp with my pasta was good and her shrimp was good. Wife and I agree about the key lime pie. It was not that good. So next time we probably won't order desert due to all of them are probably ordered from some place and frozen in package and prep made when ready to order. But main dishes and soup were good. This is an incredible building on the Calasahootchee river in Fort Myers. Great space, completely empty when a colleague and I walked in on her suggestion (I try to avoid 3 1/2 star places and less) Lots of workers standing around talking, no one really paid attention to is for a bit as we wondered where the hell to go. We took a table on the deck overlooking the water, but you couldn't see anything through the screens they have hanging to keep out who knows what.. Maybe mosquitos since the hurricane. Server was nice enough and eager to get us boozy drinks, even though we were dressed for work. I got the impression this is a drinking kind of establishment. The menu is massive, which usually means a lot of frozen US Foods or Cheney Bros frozen stuff. I ordered the $22 grouper sandwich grilled, with fresh cut fries. It was gross. It smelled and tasted fishy. My filet had bones in it too. This restaurant is on the water in the Gulf and the fish wasn't fresh. Coleslaw had ZERO flavor. Fries were fresh and great. That's all though. Colleague had blackened shrimp and that seemed fine. Seafood in the case looked like it's been there awhile. Will never go back unless it's for drinks. Wouldn't waste my money on the subpar food. Must survive on tourists :-/ read more

The ambience is what is the most amazing about this restaurant!!! Right on the water - right in the middle of the Edison -Ford district of Ft Myers! Our server, Debra, had an amazing personality - and was spot on with her recommendations! I had the chicken scampi (I had the blackened chicken scampi as I'm not a seafood eater) and it was perfect - the sauce was light and the flavor was decadent! A friend had the oysters and said they were nice and "chubby" and tasted phenomenal! You can't beat their 2:1 happy hour! Great atmosphere - reasonably priced great food with the amazing service!
