    Oysters, french fries and coleslaw
    Sandra W.

The Clam Bake - Fort Myers, FL When we first walked in, I couldn't help but notice the warm decor, it's a very nice and clean restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress greeted us right away and took our order for oysters, french fries, and coleslaw. The food arrived quickly, everything was cooked perfectly, and the oysters were absolutely delicious. The oysters were plentiful and fresh, though the prices were a bit on the higher side. A great dining experience with friendly service and quality seafood. We will definitely come back again.

The steamed middle neck clams were the best I can remember. The shrimp appetizer was also excellent. Chowder was just OK as were the fried Ipswich clams. Service was very attentive.

Always great food and great service. That simple! Got the chowder, and the pick two combo of shrimp and haddock. Love it here when I'm in town

Cute and cozy place. Food was pretty good. Loved the soup. Got the $18.99 early bird special and enjoyed it.

    Lobster roll

This is one of my grandmother's favorite restaurants and ends up being somewhere we dine every time I visit. This most recent time I got the lobster roll and it was delicious. Service was decent--we had 9 people in our party and the server kept up extraordinarily. They also played happy birthday over the speakers for her and brought her some dessert for her birthday which was a great touch.

    Racist flag in restaurant window

Food was O.K..."Nothing to write home about" per people with us whose home is in Rhode windows. Make no mistake, this is a MAGA joint, not a real New England transplant. They proudly display their "Black Lives Don't Matter" flag in the front window. Owner said they relocated from RI to FL because the fire safety regulations were too stringent in RI, so choose your emergency exit route(s) when you sit down. The owner told us, essentially, that fire extinguishers are bullshit.

I tried some east coast oysters, with the cost of a half dozen being the highest I have ever paid. The lobster roll, bread was not soft or buttery, and the flavor of the lobster filling was not very good either. At $34 you better knock it out of the park, instead of being only passable. Again the price was about $10 over another local establishment known for their lobster rolls, that are far superior. There was zero atmosphere on a Weds night, no live music, with one other table of four and a few bar flies at the bar. I had three different beers and all of them were flat. The wife had a flat cider. I am not sure what the cost per was, since they do not list it on the beer menu, which I hate. $150 for bad drinks and mediocre bar food. Never again.

Admittedly, service was a little slow... it felt like a one-woman show, but that's part of the charm of this small business (support local). I was considering sushi but the menu only listed specialty rolls. I was looking for something basic but I didn't see it being offered. I think it must be on a separate menu that was not provided to us, because regular sushi rolls are shown on the online menu. But being at a Thai restaurant, I decided to go with Thai. I ordered the green curry with chicken which also comes with a bowl of rice. You can customize the spice level. My green curry was as good as any - a little spicy and a little sweet. We also got the beef drunken noodles, and they were able to customize the noodle dish to be Thai extra spicy and remove unwanted ingredients for a picky eater. We also ordered the fried rice and added chicken and pineapple (which is a winning combination). The dishes had good presentation and the flavors were solid. We enjoyed our dishes. Portion sizes were fair but I wouldn't say generous. Prices were reasonable. Thai Spice Garden hit the spot - I recommend this place for Thai fare in Fort Myers.
