I don't live in Ione anymore but it was so bad I used to drive there until the pharmacy changed hands. I started coming back here and it's a little bit better but once again I just waited in line for 15 minutes after their automated system said it was ready and then was told it's not ready and it would take a half hour. So now I have to drive home and come back a second time which this has to be at least the 8th time this has happened. Unfortunately there's not a lot of better options in the amador county

This new location is much smaller than it's previous spot - but it's still a fantastic pharmacy with efficient and kind staff. I'm always impressed with how on point everyone is here. They're great at filling prescriptions and will do their best to find more affordable generic prescriptions as needed. I'm also a fan of their growing holistic selection here - including essential oil infused epsom bath salts here and other self care items. For such a small store - they do a fantastic job of keeping their basic key items well organized, while still sprinkling the store with fun finds. Last February we had an unbelievable experience when I shopped at the store and my husband picked me up, this bearded old guy about 75, who was the cart collector my husband saw him out there collecting them when he dropped me off. This disgusting, visious man yelled at us when I came out of the store and I got in our car. He screamed at us for when my husband drove up and picked me up as I just opened the door to get in the car. This employee hasn't heard of the DISABLED???I am very disabled and have the papers in my purse to prove it which verifies why I have a blue card that I hang in my car when parking in a disabled spot. This employee yelled at my spouse for stopping to pick me up. We even parked at the farthest part of the storefront but no customers came out. He outshouted my husband and said he wanted to kick his butt. My husband said lets just leave. I complained to a person on the phone at the store. She was to report it to the manager and used another clerk to talk to me pretending to be manager I could tell. I even called the main office in Bentonville to complain. A man with an accent said he will give the report to the main customer service manager and get back to us. He never called back. Nobody did. Now, this employee should be FIRED. I want to contact the main Disability Dept. in our state to let them know that your store doesn't feel it has to honor the laws of the state of giving the disabled people their rights. I can hardly walk and had a knee procedure shortly after the incident. I never got an apology from anyone. I just want you to know if I was manager he would be gone, fired that day before he causes a lawsuit to your store. I have never gone back to Walmart in Jackson and I really enjoyed your store maybe 6 times a year we would go. It is better than the Sonora store. I have never been treated like this being disabled. I just had thee worst experience at the Safeway Jackson pharmacy I have had in 30 years. The line…read more- while my groceries were melting - was 45 minutes long and the prescription I needed wasn't ready. After paying for my groceries and putting them into the car I came back and they gave me a different prescription and told me that the one I wanted "won't be in until Monday". (today is Friday) Safeway is 20 miles from my house. Dozens of people were fuming. An older wheelchair bound man got a page from his wife in the car (hot outside) and had to leave before his was ready. Unacceptable doesn't even begin to cut it.

Jacob as the Pharmacy manager, has a strong and caring team. We have never experienced such care through people who make time to make sure they not only understand my challenges, but Jacob goes out of his way to follow my new medications and medications that have challenged me. He will read up on situations that exhaust us.. hospitalize me and even notices if a new doctor is involved. I cannot say enough about a pharmacist and team who treat you as someone who matters... the fight to have quality of life matters.
