This restaurant is located in an area with not much around. The inside is nothing special and could actually use a good cleaning and organizing. The menu has a nice selection and prices are decent. I had a small wonton soup, which was actually a bowl, so larger than I expected. The soup was very good and full of wontons and pork. I had ordered an egg roll, which they ended up bringing with my entree, which didn't thrill me. The egg roll was decent. We shared the chicken lo mein and Kung Pao chicken. They brought us shrimp lo mein by mistake and since I had already started eating it, we let it go. The portions are very large and we would have been more than fine with just one of those items. The Kung Pao had loads of chicken, but no heat to it, which was disappointing. The lo mein was less lo mein and more vegetables, which was also disappointing. The flavor was good, but we wanted the noodles. I would try coming back and ordering something else.

Looking at the outside you wouldn't expect much. But you are wrong! Massive portions, authentic food, delicious soup, and prices are great!

VERY "hole in the wall" type of place - you'd normally scoot right on by but you should definitely give it a try.

I came into this place truly hopeful and expecting to experience the fullness of all that was boasted by the 4.5 star average rating that beckoned me to try it out. Not to say that i set the bar too high, but i was optimostic and open-minded. The lady who took my order and checked me out was very nice and pleasant. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken and chicken teryaki w/ some ccicken wings. I must be straight forward - all the food was low quality (even for chinese takeout standards). Very soggy, rubbery and definitely not fresh. I threw the chicken wings out - they were discolored and the first few bites were unbearable (i didn't stop at one bite, i attempted 3 more bites of randomly selected chicken wings, all with the same result). I'd love to say that ill give this place another try, however, we were so sorely disappointed that we just dont care to try it again. We will stick with Jin House.

Best Chinese in Lorain County!!! Love the fried rice. Owner is very friendly. What impressed me the most was price per value.

Pine Garden Is Theee BEST Chinese You'll Get Hands Down! Nowhere Else Compares..(I Believe They Were Also Rated The Best In The Country)Anyways, I Always Order The Moo Goo Gai Pan With Vegetable Fried Rice, Sooo Yummy! Oh & The Rainbow Shrimp Is Awesome As Well! They Have Huge Portions Which Is Great Because I ALWAYS Have Leftovers The Next Day! I Can Eat This Stuff For Breakfast It's So Good! Oh & My Suggestion Is To Call Ahead For Take Out... You're Not Paying For The Ambiance Of The Place. It's A Tad On The Run Down Side, Definitely Can Use Some Updating. However Don't Let That Stop You From Ordering! Pine Garden Is Like A Diamond In The Rough, You Won't Appreciate It Until You Have Tried It For Yourself... So The Next Time You Want To Have A Movie Night On The Couch Think PINE GARDEN!

Food was bland, sweet and sour sauce without the usual pineapple and carrots and not worth the long drive from my home.

I was in the area at the Lorain Library (main branch), and was craving a cozy meal. Pho Ever had a catchy name and was only a few minutes away (drive). What's more cozy than pho? I made a quick and good decision to visit. AMBIANCE: The restaurant is one open space simple cultural decor. The space well fits groups and single guests. Multiple comfy booths are available along one of the walls and there are plenty of tables. Decor includes Nón Lá (Vietnamese conical hats) around the perimeter of the restaurant, vases and flowers, wood carved rooster art, prosperity wall hanging with laughing Buddhas, and other decor typical of Asian restaurants. There is also a blue sky ceiling fragment. The atmosphere is very simple and casual. The restaurant is not the cleanest. That includes the floor, the bathrooms, the tables, and teapots. Everything could use a deep clean. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu features appetizers, rice plates, vermicelli stir-fry, pho, fried rice, ramen noodles, combination plates, and optional add-ons. Drinks were not on the menu. There are few pictures of the menu items to point you in the right direction. Each dish has alphanumeric value for simple ordering. I noticed that the prices are pretty value-oriented less than many other comparable restaurants. I ordered my default Vietnamese restaurant order - pho, rolls, and hot tea. More specifically, A3 (2 charbroiled pork rolls, $5), A4 (charbroiled chicken rolls, $5), P3 (pho with eye round steak and well-done brisket, $14), and jasmine tea ($2 for a tea pot). Rolls had a generous amount of meat. I loved pork rolls, but didn't like the chicken. I found it to be too dry. I did not use the accompanying sauces since spice is not my favorite. Pho included a large portion, plenty of meat, but the broth had some slightly lemony undertone that wasn't my favorite. Jasmine tea was perfectly hot and light. It was a very comforting meal due to hot tea and hot pho. I also loved that the food was delivered with a pouch with chopsticks, fork, spoon, and big spoon for pho. SERVICE: The service was very pleasant, quick, and accommodating. There was one waiter serving quickly filling dining room. He was excellent and very attentive! I was seated very quickly. My food impressively arrived within minutes. All other guests had all their questions answered with patience. Huge compliments on the service! The restaurant was extremely accommodating to groups. They expeditiously moved tables together for large dinner groups. I was at the restaurant before 6 PM and the restaurant was already almost full with more people pulling into the parking lot. It seems like it's a popular local destination. PARKING: There is plenty of parking available to customers. Dedicated parking lot rather than shared plaza arrangement. My experience was pretty positive. I was especially impressed with the excellent service. It wasn't the best Vietnamese food that I experienced, but pretty good for a casual Sunday meal. While I wouldn't go out of my way to travel here, I'd definitely stop in while in the area.

Sad, in a way, because dining in was such a nice part of the experience at Golden Crown. I decided to order dinner on my way home from work and the food was as delicious as ever! I had the House Pad Thai, which I had never noticed on the menu before. Yum! It was prepared super fast and was still hot and fresh when I got home. A couple of tasty pork egg rolls and some shrimp chips topped things off nicely. The price is still quite reasonable for the amount and quality. I've missed Golden Crown and will be back soon. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

During the extent of our dining experience, there were far more people there for take out than dine in. Service - there was no one in the dining area when we entered. After waiting a few minutes, the one and only server exited the kitchen and seated us. We were given menus and we asked for ice water and hit tea. The server disappeared again for about 10 minutes before delivering our drinks and fried egg noodles with duck sauce taking our order. Another 10 minutes (at least) before our pan fried dumpling appetizer arrived and another 20 passed before our entrees were delivered to our table. During this entire period of time, there was only one other table of patrons in the restaurant! There was never a word of apology for the delays, not even a pleasant demeanor on the part of the server! In short, the service was very disappointing. Food - ranging from horrible (what the restaurant tried to pass as chicken lo mein, picture attached) to average (fried dumplings were extremely thick), to decent (lemon chicken) Value - needless to say, I did not view the value to be very good.
