I am a loyal customer who has to finally say how I feel about your employee. His name is Kevin and he has not only been rude and disrespectful to me but on occasions many other customer's. I have personally witnessed his behavior and if the owner cares about me and my friends further patronage he will either fire or reprimand him immediately! Terrible experience. Called an order in at 4:18 PM on 29 JUN 2022. Was told "...about 20 minutes..." I arrived at 4:43 PM. The pizza crust was sitting on the counter with sauce on it. There were no other people waiting in line and no pizzas in the oven. I was told that it would be "...about 20 minutes..." I went outside to my car and waited until 5:06 PM and went back inside. The older lady with glasses was cutting a large pizza. BTW, I had ordered a small. The woman said, OK, a large cheese pizza, a small bacon, onion, and ham." Again, I had ordered a small with ham, onion, black olives, and mushrooms. The woman carried the small box to the back counter and grabbed handfuls of olives and mushrooms and just tossed them onto the pizza. She said. "You can pick off the bacon." I asked her name and she refused to tell me. I told her I didn't want the order she had failed so miserably on. Can you imagine how BAD the food would be based on her inability to get the order right? She asked me, "What am I going to do with this food?" I told her I didn't care, and I left. Lady inside was also completely oblivious to the customers in line and had no customer service abilities. We had planned on eating burgers across the street but the kids needed to use the restroom and they didn't have one. Please stop placing the hot pizza slices in in the display to cool. They heat the sandwiches nearby to unsafe levels, and they taste horrible (I threw mine legit off a cliff). I make a point to stop here anytime I'm in the area to grab at least 2 of Bob's "Killer" Brownies. They're always fresh, soft, and impossible not to eat in the car on the way home (even without milk!). I had my first taste about 5 years ago, & I'm really happy that he's still cranking them out & that they are still only $2.50 a piece! The Pine Valley Store is a classic middle of nowhere, Mom n Pop store. We stopped here a couple times for last chance gasoline before heading up into the mountains. They have all the same stuff that you would expect from any other convenience store. Maps, beer, liquor, chips, candy, gum, cigarettes, pornorgraphic magazines, jerky, etc... Apparently, they also have an in store deli, however, the menu was very limited. You are probably better off bringing your own food, and hitting them up for drinks and chips. The counter lady was pretty helpful with giving us information about local trails and hikes. She even set us up with some "California Adventure Passes" that are required if you want to park and go exploring in the Cleveland National Forest. The pass was 25 bucks, which was good for a year. They will throw in a second pass for an extra 5 bucks. This makes a nice gift for nature lovers. Directly behind this store is a MASSIVE place to chill out and eat or let the kids loose on the playground. The park is called the "Pine Valley County Park." Again, it is huge and has plenty of free parking as well as some fairly clean restrooms. If you are like me, you will find the Pine Valley Store to be a lifesaver if you are low on gas, and want to pick up some snacks before a hike. They also have tons of impulse items at the counter, which I always like. Don't be too quick to pass them up, as they are the only game in town. read more

It's your typical convenience store (and open while under construction) but it has a nice kids park behind it and it's in beautiful Pine Valley. When we walked in some firefighters were chatting up the cashier but the cashier helped us right away. We needed an Adventure Pass because we wanted to take a hike to shed some post Thanksgiving pounds. The cashier kindly asked if we needed a second pass for $5 more and we did. They said the lady behind the counter was extremely rude and complained the whole time about how much she hates her job and how hard it is. Customer's don't come to your store to hear about how much you hate your job and how hard it is. Maybe start acting more professional to your customers?? or look for another job if she is so miserable instead of complaining to customers.. Be grateful you have an easy job, inside with the AC. As a resident of pine valley I am so thankful for our gas station. There have been many times I've needed gas in a pinch or pizza during a power outage. Staff is friendly and they are well stocked. We are new to PV and this little gem is my favorite! Their pizza is delicious! I mean it! They make it fresh and homemade right in front of you. ( if you care to stay and watch) I more than appreciate their kindness to my wild child as well! They love her and always make her feel special. Another, their craft beer, although about 2-3$ more each pack, it's super fresh. Which is wonderful. With craft the fresher the better. This place has it 2 weeks in. I love that. I recommend this place for sure. They are a little pricey but hey you're 20 min from alpine. So the convenience itself covers the additional cost to others. Wait wait wait!!! This little store is wonderful. The people are kind and the locals are always around . The pizza is very good and the sandwiches are well made and huge, unless you're an asshole. And as you can see by some of these reviews there are quit a few asshole hipster , yuppies that have stained this place with their presence. Small town gold! First thing I noticed when we entered was a little old man in a cowboy hat. I asked him if I could use the restroom and he directed me to the back corner with a smile. Little tv playing the news. Good selection of general merchandise; I needed headache medicine and they had several kinds, including Excedrine Migraine. One-person restroom for customers only (unassuming but clean). Plenty of cold drinks in the fridge cases, and fountain soda as well. Picked up an orange RockStar Recovery. I see a basket of enormous homemade brownies on the countertop, which look absolutely fantastic. The cashier tells me the 93-year old man makes a batch every morning. Each thick, wide, individually-wrapped brownie is the size of my hand, $2.50. The batch of brownies I make at home from a box would make MAYBE two of these brownies. We bought one to share between the five of us, and then I went back in and bought two more to take home and put in the freezer. What a treat! And what a cute little town. read more

Then when I was leaving this mofo rude old fart said "STUPID" to me as I walked out. No respect for customers. So I said "YOU ARE STUPID", then walked out and filled gas. Great store in an emergency for gas & last minute items, but if you're hungry, don't pass up their deli sandwiches. The prices might seem a bit steep, but they are HUGE & tasty!
