Quick service. I stopped in for lunch, had a delicious Meat Lovers Calzone Slice. Only 5.99, this was a lunch in itself and was great. I'm not a "take food pics in my car" kind of guy, but I thought this needed to be shown. I initially came in for a sandwich and though I got distracted by the calzone slice, I still got the sandwich too. Just an original turkey/provolone. Good taste, could've loaded a little more lettuce/veggies, but a decent amount of turkey and cheese so I'm not complaining. Wow! This is a great liquor store with a hidden secret....they make AMAZING pizza! Great liquor store, they have everything you would need. They even made sandwiches although I'm definitely going to try that next. The pizza is incredible, probably one of the top pizzas I've ever had. The flavor was amazing, the toppings were fresh and the crust was nice and crispy. The salad was fresh and large enough for several people. The cheese sticks were a great deal for how many we received. Service has always been extremely friendly, even helping out when I couldn't find what I was looking for. Their selection of booze and beer is outstanding. They also have a deli with excellent sandwiches and they make a solid pizza too. Fishing supplies if you're headed to Santee Lakes. Even disc golf gear if you're going to Mast Park. One stop shopping at Lakes Market and Deli! I stopped by to exchange four propane tanks after Walmart's automated self-serve tank station kept giving me error messages. Lakes was more expensive than WalMart (about $5 per tank) but honestly, I'd rather give my money to mom and pop shop Lakes rather than WalMart. It was a bit of a pain in the ass for the guy working. He had to leave the register to unlock the tank locker for me and help exchange. He did it all with a good attitude and a smile. read more

I love this liquor store, not for liquor but for their amazing Pizza! It tastes like it is made at a real pizza place, I go for the awesome pizza special which is the two slices and a fountain drink for $6.99, that's the best deal in town. We started ordering our pizzas, salads and sandwiches there about 2 years ago and now we will never go anywhere else. Their pizzas are amazing with the freshest ingredients, including the crust, (nothing is prepackaged) and they are made with generous amounts of toppings and cheese and are very reasonably priced and every pizza just tastes GOOD. I tell EVERYONE to forget overpriced and greasy Pizza Hut and just go to see Lee and Sam at Lakes Market. You won't be disappointed. Their specialty sandwiches are just as mouthwatering and prepared exactly how you want it, every single time. Sarita (hope I am spelling her name right) is a master at building the perfect sandwich and salad. My favorite salad is their chef salad. I would give negative five stars if I could!! I bought a propane tank at this place about a week ago. I already had one on my barbecue and was using the last of it when that one was done I put on the one that I bought from there and it was completely empty!!! They sold me an empty propane tank and when I went back with the receipt and told them that they sold me an empty tank they told me too bad that I used it ! I already had dinner ready for my family to cook and had to run out of the house to try and get it exchanged now I don't even know how I'm gonna cook this fish!! Totally crooks. My first AND last visit to this deli. Now that I'm working from home I no longer have access to good deli sandwiches so I decided to support one of the locals and to my dismay I was disappointed. My first question should've been can a liquor store serve quality food as well? Maybe. If the young lady who had just worked the counter (multiple customers) before coming over to the deli - without washing her hands FIRST then I would say yes. In addition to all the liquor behind the counter and the refrigerators full of beers, they also have service deli and pizza counter. I can't believe there's a pizza oven behind the deli counter. I have not tried neither but I have purchase a few items from this store. They carry nick knacks such as chips, cookies, candies and gums. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE LEAVING! I used to go to this liquor store daily, used to.... I purchased a few snacks and a spray deodorant (random I know) the price tag sai d $3.99, the guy behind the counter looked at it and manually put in $4.99, I didn't feel like saying anything. I felt I was already getting a good deal since It was so convenient to grab my deodorant at a corner store when I needed it so desperately, so I "overlooked" it, paid what they asked, and went about my day. A week goes by, wouldn't you know it, I went back in for more snacks and another can of deodorant, again the guy looks at the price tag and puts in $4.99 instead of $3.99, this time I pointed it out and he changed it to the correct price, problem solved. A few days later I came by and bought a bag of chips "fiesta chip mix" to be exact, I remembered seeing something the other day online about arizona ice tea, how the company put "only 99 cents" on their cans so liquor stores like this one can't just change the price. The fiesta chip mix had a similar enchanting label marked "$2.29 only" how could I resist, the spicy spirals, the puffy pork rinds, the crispy doritos, the cheesy cheetos, all for just $2.29 only...I was thrilled at the value and excited about the spicy encounter I was about to experience. I almost skipped up to the counter with my chips and soda, I placed them on the counter and took out my wallet, I would be long gone with my chips before the fiesta chip mix company would ever know what hit them, the fools. I looked down at the screen, about to insert my debit card into the chip reader $1.99-Soda $4.99-Grocery item I stared into that screen for what must have been several minutes, I thought about how I had taken the time to compare the fiesta chip mix bag for $2.29 only to the other smaller fiesta chip mix bag, the one marked $1.49 only, I thought about how the smaller bag was only 2.75oz compared to the larger 6oz bag, I thought about how I justified spending 80 more cents for the extra 3.25 ounces, I thought about how that almost made the $2.29 only deal even better, how could the fiesta chip mix company overlook this obvious mistake? They can't possibly be making any money off of this.... I thought about all this, then said "Are these the chips?" pointing at the credit card machine displaying the $4.99 grocery item, "Are these chips $4.99??" pressing down on the chip bag, I could feel a pork rind smash as I pressed down on to the $2.29 only price label. The cashier acted confused for a few seconds, then manually input the correct price. I felt vindicated, all those years of bottling up my anger, all the times I was bullied in school, every time I went into that store and "overlooked their mistake because they are just human" it restored my inner being and solidified my confidence that life will be ok, and that I can stand up for myself and feel good about it. I paid for my snacks, walked out of the store, fiesta chip mix in hand, ripped the bag opened and shoved a handful of that spicy flavor explosion into my mouth, a tear rolled down my cheek as I stood in the parking lot, arms extended as if I was Andy Dufresne, I crawled through that tunnel and on the other side was my freedom from tyranny. A few days later I went by to get another bag, they did it again, I wouldn't recommend going there unless you want the fiesta chip mix, it's $2.29 only, but just check your receipt before you leave. read more

Went in to buy a soda while I waited on my burrito next door. The man behind the counter, I think part owner was rude and lacked any appreciation of my patronage. He has been mean in the past but I have shrugged it off. This time because he didn't count the cash i put down he had even a worse attitude. I took my money back and left. No longer will I purchase anything from this place. This guy definitely need some lessons on customer service. Hopefully he will read this and treat his customers better. HUGE Fan of Lakes Market & Deli! Let me count the ways... Their sandwiches are tops! They now have pizza!! 2 slices and a fountain soda for $4. Beer and a good wine selection. Lotto, snacks, sodas, ice! very friendly, great services. Never too long of a line before others jump in to help. I am hooked on their Surfer Supreme sandwich, especially when made by the young girl (daughter?). Not sure what she does differently, but it is always better when she makes them. Their pizza can be hit or miss. Sometime spot on, sometimes a bit greasy. But it is a newer item and for $4 with soda, I'm happy for the cheap lunch. They do make a variety of full [pizza] pies, but I have not tried them. If you are heading to the beach, taking in the local trails, or going to Santee Lakes, a stop here first is always a thing. read more

I went in this store a few months ago for a Coke and a smile. I had never been in here before and was amused that this place had a deli and was like a 7-11 on steroids! So I ordered a sandwhich and watched how they meticulously made it making sure it was exactly how I ordered. It was delicious.
