HORRIBLE. DIRTY. STOLE MY TIE. THREW OUT OUR BELONGINGS. BAD COMMUNICATION. UNHELPFUL ON-SITE STAFF. Booked a room here for 5 days for our wedding anniversary and a friend's wedding the week after Labor Day. Upon arrival we walked in, the place smelled like cigarettes and a woman from the back shouted to us "your envelope is on the fire mantel." and didn't even greet us. Then she said "its your anniversary? You want us to do anything special?" - Still she didn't come out of the back. Got to our shoebox of a room on bottom floor - stains everywhere on carpets, flies, dirty towels in hallway, broken towel bar, kitchen items spilled out in dining room all over...the list goes on. I called housekeeping and asked for a wine key - they put the request through and we waited...and waited...and waited. Called several times to inquire and didn't ever get a response or the wine key - our bottle of wine was now piss warm. This was over an hour of waiting. Loud chatter continued from the hallway for the next hour or so after - staff hanging out in the hallway, laughing, staff scurrying past our window and door constantly like they were having a party - I called again to complain and got no response. Called again, left message. Finally got ahold of manager and he sounded hammered drunk and confused - said he would take care of it and didn't. I called again for a fifth time and spoke to a woman who pretended to be a manager and when the convo got heated while I was raising all of my concerns, she just hung up on me. While at dinner, I get a call from a manager, Francesca, who was sincerely apologetic. I demanded our money back to book another room and she instead offered us a better room at their other location. After some back and forth my wife and I accepted and we had to move all of our stuff at 9pm to the other location. Francesca gave us a bottle of cold wine and wine key and again apologized - things were looking up...but not for long.. Hotel staff didn't clean the hotel room once while we were there until the second to last day - Wedding Day. Not only did they change the sheets, but they broke the garbage can and threw it out in the trash outside, threw out our own personal sleeping blanket and also stole my Ferragamo tie. I called to report this all and the women didn't seem to care. I texted Francesca and told her and got no response and STILL haven't gotten an apology or response. I went through the laundry room, trash cans and every nook and cranny of that B&B to find my tie and my daughters blanket and nobody would help or seem to care. Shuttle also wouldn't pick us up to go to Summer House in Sconset so after texting Francesca a couple of times she finally said to get a taxi and they would pay for it - which we did. Summer House itself was nice and the pool staff was great. Yes, the price is cheap at this place sometimes but DO NOT waste your money here. Spend the extra $100/night elsewhere and know you'll get treated better than these thieves. I only gave them an extra star b/c Francesca did try and remedy the crappy room situation on night one. read more

DO NOT fall prey to the location and "association" with Summer House. This place is just not worth it. Dirty environment inside and out and a staff that just does not care. The Breakfast consisted of some slices of bread and a box of granola that was stale when we got there and left out our entire stay! If I could give negative stars I would. read more

You stay here because you want the door to door shuttle to Sconset Summer House, lets face it. Other than that, it is like any other B&B in ACK, except that it makes some promises that it doesn't completely deliver. For example, it is affiliated with some of the higher end restaurants in the area and claims that this affilition a) makes their continental breakfast and cappuccinos something to enjoy and linger over b) makes it easier to get reservations at these places and they will be "happy" to assist you in doing so. Now, a continental breakfast is basically just muffins so thats kind of the same anywhere. I did see a cappucino maker but it was never once in use--and the muffins were either not put out until an hour into breakfast time, or were too few for everyone. As far as dinner reservations, we were "assisted" in getting them, but FAR from happily. So my advice is if you want happy, helpful staff--this isn't your place. If you just want to be able to easily get to Sconset and use the pool, etc there, then it is totally fine. Also, as a side note, we took the shuttle to Sconset one day that it POURED so we went to the Summer House restaurant across the street (not the one on the beach obviously). They did not offer to send the shuttle to go back to town until its usual time (3 hours later), or offer any coffee/hot chocolate or basically anything to pass the time until then but instead directed people to the other restaurant--OUTSIDE in the pouring rain--with a straight face. We booked here because it was one of the last rooms available on short notice. It does the trick if you just need a place to sleep while enjoying Nantucket. Not a place where you hang out and enjoy the amenities. The best "perk" is the shuttle to and use of the pool area at Summer House in Sconset. The worst part of our stay was sleeping on the king-sized taco in room 2. You both end up rolling into the sizable low spot in the center of the mattress. This establishment is inconsiderate and run by mean people. My dad was diagnosed with cancer and needed to be admitted to hospital right before our trip. I called to speak with the inn keeper several and they would not return a phone call. After connecting with an associate at the front desk, she proceeded to laugh on the phone while my mom was speaking, she was terribly unprofessional. Considering the situation that was explained to them each time we called, a call back would have been appropriate. They do not care about their customers. I would not recommend giving this establishment your business. read more

This place is terribly run. For the three days I was there, I didn't see one manager, and I was "checked in" by a piece of paper on the mantel. The smoke detector was hanging open in my room, which was almost exactly the size of the bed (just a tiny bit of room to walk around the bed). I almost never give bad (or any) Yelp reviews--the only reason I'm doing so for this place is because of this: there was ice cold air pouring in through a ceiling grate that had a broken handle. I smelled cigarette smoke at first, and then was just cold, so I emailed both the innkeeper and the reservation manager. On the check in sheet, it explicitly said to email with any concerns. Neither of them responded, and the problem was not addressed. If I had received an email, I would not have written this. I needed a place for the weekend, and neither of the other two inns I've stayed in were available, so I found this online. It's true that this is cheap for Nantucket, but it's actually not cheap for what you get (which is not much), and now I see why there was last minute availability during the high season. I could also hear every single word spoken in both the courtyard and in the rooms/hallway next to mine. read more

It should be named Horrible Inn. Booked room on first floor with patio get here not a soul around but envelope with my name and key for room 6 on the second floor. Room in no bigger than a shoe box and the mattress harder than the ground if you camping! Did not sleep a wink it is so uncomfortable. I would not recommend this establishment to my enemies. Save your self a lot of money and aggravation and DO NOT stay there the disappointment is understated. No one around to even talk to or help horrible experience. Never book with Airbnb! Trust me in this. Avoid at all costs I have to add end my scathing review the pineapple inn did come through and change our room to something that is very comfortable and what I expected on our arrival. Our room wasn't ready until 5:30pm even though check-in was at 3pm. The manager said she'd take some money off our bill because of the inconvenience, but never did. They don't pick up their phone and didn't respond to my email regarding this. They seem to not care at all....extremely disappointing experience. I gave 2 stars because the room was clean and the location was central...but the room was TINY. My husband and I barely fit. Don't recommend in any capacity unless you want poor customer service and a room the size of a bathroom. read more

I don't even know where to begin. I booked the room with a patio for extra because due to covid I wanted a private space to be outdoors during our stay. We showed up to no one there, had to find our key by ourselves and was in an entirely different room with windows that wouldn't even open. There is a price difference between the two rooms that they did not mention. Again, like other posts, they will steal your money!! The first two nights our room was not cleaned, the bed wasn't made up and there were no fresh towels. This was all despite calling the managing company, Summer House, several times, with no luck of a call back. Finally we received fresh towels and the bed was made up. The room itself was gross - damp floors and like I said, the windows didn't open which at any time is unacceptable, but especially during these times is outrageous. There was no television as promised in the original room we had booked. The Inn Keeper is UNBELIEVABLY unprofessional. My husband and I were jaw-droppingly shocked at how poorly she ran the place and how unprofessional she was with guests and her coworkers. Finally, she came into our room as we were leaving at the end of our stay to apologize for lack of cleaning and didn't wear a mask. and had NO self awareness. It was all just beyond terrible. I would NOT recommend staying here. We have stayed at many B&Bs on the island, we've had great experiences at all. This was the worst experience, hands down, we've ever had at a B&B, hotel, motel, you name it. read more
