I was fortunate enough to get to stay at 21 Broad with some friends during a short trip to Nantucket in late December. In conversation with one of the hotel employees we found out how expensive the hotel is during their peak season, WOW! It's a tasteful and modern renovated old building. They tout the vitamin C rain shower but while I found the shower head nice I didn't really notice a difference from the vitamin C. What the hotel does have is an amazing location. It's a very short walk from the fast steamship ferry and right where you probably want to be as far as shopping and restaurants. Their breakfast is lovely and we enjoyed it thoroughly. They had yogurt, a variety of freshly made muffins and breads, chia pudding, a delicious toast with ricotta cheese and pomegranate arils, coffee, tea, juice, etc. The hotel puts out mix-ins for happy hour in the afternoon and offers guests freshly baked sea salt chocolate chip cookies. It's so great and relaxing to have those amenities when you're on vacation. My one complaint is a common theme in the hotel reviews. On the second night the room next to me was occupied. I could hear word for word every conversation they had. The walls are pretty thin. Lovely hotel but privacy is nice too!

21 Broad a Lark Hotel was Amazing. Newly renovated and furnished with modern furniture this hotel met all of our needs. It is conveniently located in town close to everything. The AC is fabulous. The gourmet breakfast and cocktail hour are an added bonus. The staff couldn't be nicer. A+++

Excellent place to stay. Super clean and like brand new. The only complaint... walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from other rooms. Literally everything

Upon arrival, after Angel handles everything from the ferry, you are greeted by Fulya who is maybe the sweetest woman you will ever meet. Unfortunately you cant take her home with you, but she will make your stay as easy and convenient as possible. Unfortunately, my wife got a stomach bug on our trip, and because the concierge car was unavailable, Kate insisted that I use her PERSONAL vehicle to run to the pharmacy. If all of that isn't enough you have John, the head bartender, who not only makes one heck of an espresso martini, he works the bar like an ace! Again, 42 and I have been lucky enough to travel quite a bit, but the level of service that we received at the Nantucket Hotel, not only rivals, but surpasses any 5-star resort that we've ever stayed at. I have been coming to the Island since I was in the 6th grade and I will never go back without staying here. Angel, Kate, Fulya, and everyone else, thank you so much for the level of service and passion for your craft. We cannot wait to come back and really appreciate everything. REALLY SHOULD BE 30 STARS. Simply the best experience.

The staff from the maitre d who has been there for ever to the bartenders and servers, all top notch and friendly. I've dined with reservations for more of the fine dining feel, but also have casually rolled up to the bar and enjoyed the more relaxed vibe, but still great food. Again, Nantucket is expensive, but I find that the meal, service and ambiance warrants the price for a fun and memorable night out. Enjoy the walk back into town and soak in the fresh air!

The rate was spectacular, and the inn was even better, but the restaurant and bar is to die for! 5-star. Where to start? The staff is excellent, professional, exceptionally pleasant, and very accommodating. Our room was huge! Clean. Well stocked. Nice clean bathroom. We had tea in the common room in the afternoon; able to chat with other visitors - relaxing and quite pleasant. The restaurant was to die for. We made our reservation on Resy a week before. Everything was just incredible, starting with a mussel appetizer, cod and polenta/spinach dish, to the chocolate soufflé. The next morning we crossed the street to attend services at Saint Paul's Episcopal. Came back for a quick breakfast down stairs; the coffee was top-shelf, eggs perfectly made, and fresh fruit - can't beat any of that. We left our bag at the Inn, and went in town to shop, sip coffee, and take it all in. Picked up our bag and dropped it off at the Hyline building. Had lunch with local friends at Brant Point. The day, hotel, dinner, church, and lunch was all serendipitous. No negatives. Ship's Inn is one of the absolute best and well known inn and restaurant on the island.

We also changed rooms. The first room had part of the window covering falling off amongst other issues. lol the manager said they had someone coming to fix the window covering (a corner) but c'mon. He could have easily double taped it or done anything to make it look decent. After we left it the next girls in that room said there was no dryer only the attachments and came back out again after the plugs breaker was killed several times. Unfortunately the manager left a young female employee with only a single days training alone. We know this because we helped her find the breaker for the this room that we vacated that the new occupants kept blowing the breaker using the steamer and a curling iron at the same time. The employees are lovely but with management like they have they will never stay. The location is the only redeeming factor. Whomever owns this hotel should be there, train and hire someone who makes this connection with the hotel and their guests. The coffee is terrible and so are the bicycles. They aren't kept up. Also the employees sit at a round table by the door like customers with their laptops and iPads which is as bad as a bar owner sitting at the end of a bar like it's his office. The little room to have a complimentary drink is dark and hot and uncomfortable. Not our kind of place for the price. There was a lively African American woman who help after I fell and soooo gracious. The new girl just two days in also lovely. Work harder to keep them and get rid of your manager who clearly doesn't know or care how to run a hotel.

I got an assortment of danishes, croissants, and muffins thinking to just sample a bit. I ate it ALL. Each room gets their own drip coffee and nespresso machine. In the afternoons they set out cookies, and in the early evenings are wine and cheese. There are also complimentary bicycles, which allowed me the chance to check out quite a few of the local beaches and lighthouses nearby. One afternoon we went to the pool and enjoyed our private cabana and snacks, drinks, and even fresh fruit! They even provided us with sunscreen and signed copies of nantucket-y beach reads. Seriously, they've thought of everything. Such a relaxing vacation and I hope to come back one day!
