But the last time we stopped by last year,2025, my wife and I both ordered soup, which was good, but then we had chicken Phillies on a sub roll. Food is always consistently great. Drinks as well. They often have bands or karaoke, live music many nights. The service can be hit or miss so we never go in a hurry, but they always get us drinks quickly and we sit back and relax and wait on dinner (some nights are faster ‍). The honey garlic chicken is my favorite. Hubby loves the jerk chicken (wings or sandwich). His favorite jerk anywhere. Waffle fries or straight fries.....who doesn't like options?! Pineapple Joe's is a perfect local dive bar!! Easy to locate, easy to find, easy to play. The building is a little old and worn as well as the inside is too. Unlike most local dives this one was not very smoky inside. as far as I could tell they have a no smoking rule which is great. Our group was seated immediately agreed with friendly service immediately. The wait staff was very friendly and nice to our group who was a little bit rowdy. Are drinks came fast and were made great. The food order was taken pretty quickly. I just ordered a plate of wings and was actually very happy with that result. The outside is just the right amount of Chris while the inside was still moist. I was very happy that the mild hot wings weren't extremely flamin hot ghost peppers that I seem to order everywhere else I go. I would call their medium wings family friendly temperature. They have an old pool table which they charge to play by hour which is really great way to play pool unless of course you're terrible at pool like me and wish it was a quarter pool table cuz one game takes you an hour. That is jukebox working although I don't think the target audience here appreciated me playing $5 of gangster rap back to back. This place on US1, has been here for over 30 years and has a neighborhood bar kind of feel to it. There's ample parking around. When you walk inside, you will see just about everything as part of the decor: from a plane to a big world map to a fire hydrant, trophies and college sports flags. They also have two pool tables to the side. We came on a Saturday night and the place was packed. They had a band scheduled to play apparently. We ordered a shrimp & crab pasta (which came with garlic bread), chicken wings, and a combo appetizer: breaded cheese sticks, jalapeño poppers and onion strings. The pasta was really good, creamy in a white sauce. The onion strings were crispy, the jalapeño poppers were over breaded in my opinion but tasted good. I didn't finish the chicken wings and was given a discount on the check. That was a nice surprise! Friendly service and good food. We will come back and try some of their other stuff on their big menu. read more

We are back at pineapple joes. We ordered the wings last year and they were awesome and also ordered the buffalo style shrimp. This time the place was not full with no wait. The food here has kind of gotten a routine feel to it. When I go into a restaurant I like to feel the love that people put into their culinary dishes. Although everything tasted great, it seem to be put together without care given to portions and The service was lacking terribly. There are classic mahi-mahi sandwich which we seem to get most times we come, was burnt this time. This is what I mean by routine without giving a second look to what's being presented to the customer. There is plenty of parking, and they do have live music here but check ahead to make sure what time and what days. They also have pool table and other ballroom style entertainment. This little place is a hidden gem. Met here for lunch. My friend and I both had the same thing, well kind of. I had the mild Buffalo chicken wings and a side of Caesar salad. My friend had the garlicky chicken wings and a side of Caesar salad. Ambiance was nice. It was an older crowd. They have a bar and also a big pool table. Food was good. Had to ask for a hotter sauce because I found that the mild was not hot enough for me. My friend said that her wings were very garlicky but edible. I hear that on some nights they have live music and karaoke. Not sure where because the place seemed small to me. Waitress was very nice and attentive. Again I went for lunch not sure how the evening crowd is but we're in Fort Pierce where every crowd is good. Coming from NY is totally different and I like it. This place is iconic. Not really somewhere to expect superb food. Decent bar food and fried foods though. I had the coconut shrimp. Decent. The sweet potato fries were good. But the hush puppies were rock hard and inedible. Pineapple fritters were good but would have been more flavorful with a dipping sauce or icing dipper. We stopped here for a bite to eat just after 4 PM on a Saturday. We were told to sit anywhere and the server brought over two waters. That is where the service ends. We looked over the menu picked out what we wanted and no one came back. About 10 minutes later, we could see all the servers and the bartender in the corner of the bar, in all honesty I thought it was a service meeting so I didn't think anything of it. Our server came back and stopped at the table to the left of us walked past us to the table to the right of us turned around, headed back to the bar like we were not there. Even when we decided to get up, we were not acknowledged. I wasn't angry, but in all honesty there are way too many good places on the way back up the coast to worry about service like this. Next stop Squid Lips where I know we will be taken care of. Will I ever return, not a chance. They must be doing so well they don't need any new customers. read more

We've been enjoying Pineapple Joe's since we moved to the Treasure Coast in 2019. However, in the past year things have deteriorated. Higher prices and smaller portions have become the norm in keeping with out of control inflation. However, my past few meals there have left me leaving hungry! In addition, there has been a noticeable increase in loud, rowdy, foul mouthed groups gathered around the pool table. I like the clam chowder. It was delicious. I got the fish strips and they were tasty, but nothing to write home about the mahi looked good, but was a bit pricey for me. My only complaint was the bartender Dash waitress was pretty rude and made our meal, that was enjoyable because she was always in a rush.
