I am not a huge fan of Chinese food so I am a bit hesitant when my wife has a craving. This past weekend we went to visit a friend who just had surgery and offered to bring her dinner. She suggested Ping On and I sucked it up and took one for the team. All in all though I was surprised that I actually liked what I got. Normal I always go with Almond Boneless Chicken, but this time I opted for Kung Pao Chicken because George likes his Chicken spicy. It was rather tasty, but not very hot at all though in terms of spice even though I ordered it Hot. My biggest complaints are that I didn't get much Chicken, maybe five or six small pieces, and that there were just too many vegetables. I had requested no celery either as I am not a fan and they left it in. Also the combinations they offer do not come with soup. Like I said I don't eat Chinese all that often, but every time I have it always came with either Wanton or Egg Drop soup. What surprised me the most is that they have not one, but two Chinese men there that speak perfect fluent English without an accent. I hope this doesn't make me come off as insensitive or anything, but it is nice to have someone who you understand and that understands you perfectly when it comes to places like this. The less communication issues you have means less of a chance something gets screwed up. I rated this place pretty average because of the fact there was very little meat in the dish, it wasn't made Hot as requested and when asked for the celery to be left out it was still left in the dish. Other than that I would definitely try this place another time and see if those minor things improved. read more

My mom loves Chinese food so I took her here for lunch. We both ordered Chicken Egg Foo Yung. The plate came to our table full of 2 generous patties smothered in gravy. We asked for gravy over the fried rice as well. Comparing the gravy to other places, it was by far the most flavorful we've tasted. The egg drop soup was delicious. As far as the egg roll- it was okay. It seemed a little difficult to cut through the shell and a bit smaller than what I expected but it was good. While eating, I possibly had a small piece of plastic or something in my food. I'm not sure what it was. Similar to the piece you tear off the top of a packet of soy sauce or something. My mom wanted a dinner roll with her lunch so for 60 cents more, she was able to enjoy that. The waiter was very attentive and polite which really helped make our visit a better one. We ordered carry-out, ABC with the gravy on the side, Beef & broccoli, Chicken & broccoli and Sesame chicken. All were lunch combos including fried rice and egg rolls, both very good.. I also got a small Wonton soup. Everything was Great but the Wonton soup broth wasn't very flavorful. Adding salt and the crispy noodles helped. We will definitely order from them again! read more

We were looking for a place to rotate between. Most Chinese food tastes all the same. This one was actually really good. The egg roll and soup were about average, but their entrees were definitely something above and beyond. The servings were huge. When I try new places, I always get the almond chicken. It usually tells me about the rest of their food. My husband got the sweet & sour chicken. I took a taste. First of all mine, the sauce/gravy was really good. They gave what looked like three pieces of chicken. I loved their rice. It was a dark fried rice, no veggies in it and few to no sprouts. My husband's was the first time I would actually consider ordering sweet and sour chicken. Really good flavor and big pieces of chicken. The only real negative I would say is I hate people constantly asking me things while I'm eating. From the server to others, It just really annoys me while I'm eating. Also a bit more time to finish before entrees came and I wish when I said Sprite they told me it was Sierra Mist. I can't stand Pepsi products and the drinks were to expensive to waste, which sadly I did. But we will be back. It was a nice switch up for us. read more

Portions are small and food is dry.Don't try to complain about your meal because they say we no understand !!! The egg rolls are really small with little fillings inside. Boneless Amond Chicken very salty and covered in excess breading. The owner and or manager never ring up your order on the cash register they use the no-sale key with the cash drawer always opened.So almost all orders are not reported to the Goverment for tax purposes.No soup on take out orders even on full dinner orders. read more

Picked up a family meal for 4 yesterday. Food was ready on schedule, but thats the extent of positivity I can state. --- The food was absolutely inedible---such a shame as my guests and I were unable to eat most of the food. --- Won Ton soup was edible and there was enough soup for all of us. --- The egg rolls were so hard we could not chew them. --- Pepper steak was packaged in a soup container and appeared to be just that ---a murky dark brown liquid with slivers of what looked like beef?? --- No one cared to even try that one. ---Almond Chicken was just a container of a fried and sectioned chicken breast --- no sauce or almonds--and also no taste! The only edible dish was the LoMein, ---- not the best, but not terrible. --- The rest of the food was a complete disappointment. Placed a carry out order couple nights back. Inside seemed nice and cozy. The food was delicious. I think I found my go to Chinese place to eat going forward. This has been my family's go to Chinese place for a while. My family's pretty basic; we only order three dishes: sweet and sour chicken, almond chicken, and Kung Pow chicken. Excellent portions and could definitely feed three people on two orders and could feed two with one if you order soup! The only thing is that we order extra meat on the king pow (or if we try something new) because they give a lot of vegetables and the double meet makes it balanced. read more

My fiance and I are new to this area and wanted to give this place a shot since it is close to our new home but we were not that impressed. We ordered the almond boneless and sesame chicken but they were both super dry and bland. The sauce on the sesame was not my favorite and almost tasted gritty like. I ordered the almond chicken with rice because everyone was raving about it. I also ordered a few egg rolls. The rice was bland and so was the chicken. The chicken was heavily breaded which meant it was a bit soggy from condensation in the carry out packaging. It came with a brown gravy that had a great flavor but it was kind of weird. It's a decent dish on the run but nothing I would think to get on the regular. The egg rolls were okay. Overall, I wouldn't be upset if friends wanted to order from here but I wouldn't look to this place on a regular basis. read more

I've been patronizing this restaurant for about 2 years, always carry out. The food has always been just ok for me but my boyfriend liked them. I always order fried shrimp subing general Taos sauce instead of sweet and sour. This time the man said they didn't do that. So disappointed. Usual place was too busy to fill my order so we went here to ping on. I ordered the general tso and Hunan chicken. Both extra spicy. When I got the food not only was there no heat. ( I could feed this to my two year old and not worry about it being too spicy) there was absolutely zero flavor. The egg rolls were decent but I don't go to restaurants for $1.35 egg rolls. I'm here from out of town visiting my sister in the hospital. She was craving Chinese so I went to Ping On as it was close. I thought the food was pretty good. I believe the owner took my order as it was mid day Saturday. His name was Ed I think. I told him I was from out of town visiting her. Took my parent's there for their birthday. Nothing great. It was way too hot like it had been microwaved. Couldn't even touch it for 10 minutes. I'm under the impression they don't cook from scratch and give you pre-made meals or leftovers. A few week later I ordered carryout egg foo yong and egg rolls for Father's day and found a piece of plastic packaging in it. It looked like a torn off piece from a soy sauce type of package. The first time I ever came here I was about 8 months pregnant. Our waiter sat us down and asked what I was having, when I told him it was a boy he returned with a virgin piña colada with a little blue umbrella in the pineapple. The service is absolutely amazing and they have the friendliest staff I've ever encountered at a Chinese restaurant. The buns before your meal are delicious, pop is never flat and you always get a huge steaming hot portion of food. Had a chance to visit here last February for my FIL's 84th surprise Birthday Party! The food was excellent!!! I had Sesame Chicken/Wonton Soup, and the biscuit came with the meal! I eat here about once a month for carry out. Very friendly service and they have never messed up an order. Good portion size for price. I can always get two meals out of one. Food quality is decent. Sometimes the meat is a little fatty (have to spit out the grizzle) but hey, it happens. Sometimes it can be too salty as well. Despite this, it always hits the spot when I'm craving Chinese.
