GO HERE TO ORDER YOUR CUSTOM CAKES! I ordered a custom tiered sweet 16 cake for ~300 people 8 years ago, with figurines to mimic the 16 couples that were a part of the sweet 16 Court. When ordering the cake, a Pinho's employee sat down with us, showed us all our options for the cake, fillings, and icing, and allowed us to taste test. We were so extremely satisfied with the customer service and the end-product of the cake. Fast forward to today.. came in on a busy Sunday morning to order custom diabetic-friendly birthday cupcakes for my fathers birthday and a custom full sheet cake for a graduation party. It is amazing that they offer sugar-free and diabetic-friendly sweets! We ended up ordering 2 dozen white cupcakes topped with strawberries and happy birthday signs (all sugar-free) for only $25! Then, for the custom full sheet cake (3 layers of cake), we chose a combination of yellow/chocolate cake (2 layers of chocolate and 1 layer of yellow), one half of the sheet cake with raspberry mousse and chocolate mousse fillings (1 layer of each filling), one half of the sheet cake with fresh strawberries and cannoli cream (2 layers of the filling), and whipped cream as the icing. The employee was extremely patient with us when we took our time to decide what we wanted, and she even provided us with samples of the cakes and fillings so that we could make our decision! She thoroughly went over our order and was very helpful about figuring out decorations for the top of the cake. I went to a Birthday Party Sunday 12/30/18. The cake was too pretty to cut, but when it was sliced the filling was strawberry and bananas and pineapple. The cake was so moist I could have licked the plate, but someone would have saw me OMG!!! It was sooooo delicious- taste like some more, for real, for real!!! I cannot wait for my event. Nice bakery. even line seems to be long, but it moves very fast. Display of cake/deserts looks great. It's one of gems of place. We definitely will be back again. Only complain is that this place really have no parking. Prices of things were excellent as will. We bought 6 desert items and it came up around $10. I used to think this was a decent bakery at best because visually they have so much to offer. Lets go back to two days ago. I ordered a couple of sandwiches for me and someone else and two drinks, then I went home to eat, I realized they charged me almost $20!!-This isn't the typical amount, its usually around $14. When I called them I asked them politely if the price was correct. The woman insisted I ordered three sandwiches even though my receipt showed only two sandwiches. When I asked her to give me back the difference I checked inside the bag and there were three sandwiches even though I only ordered two and my receipt reflected it. The lady said to me "well you should have clarified that before you left because now I can't do anything with the sandwich and I have to throw it away", as if I was at fault!! Qgain I kindly explained it wasn't until I got home that it dawned on me how much I was charged. I live two minutes away. Customer service at the deli counter is always an unpleasant event! No one ever smiles, the lady who works at the register at the deli counter is nasty and unkind and should not work with customers. They are only friendly with customers they know. Do they want new repeat customers or they have enough customers that they don't need anymore? I guess new customers don't count. Now to today's episode, two days later...I bought a sandwich for breakfast. I was so hungry I immediately started to eat it. In the middle of me enjoying it, I see a long black hair strand in my sandwich. I threw up! So disgustingly gross. Strong 4, opportunity for 5 stars. I can only comment on the custard cups, which were brought into a work event. Despite sitting out for a few hours, they remained flaky and crispy on the outside, but smooth and creamy on the inside, just like a custard cup ought. (Far too many of them don't get either part right, let alone one of the two.) Unfortunately that is my only experience thus far, so I can't give 5 stars just yet. Local bakery with great good that you can't go wrong with. The bread is fresh and tasty and the custard cups are a great party hit to pick up. My grandmother friend likes to grab lunch like soup and a sandwich from them too! They have some adapted seating for COVID but I didn't feel the enforce social distancing and mindfulness amongst the guests. Ordered a tray of sandwiches (20) made on mini Portuguese rolls with a variety of ham, Turkey, roast beef, Swiss cheese came with mayo, mustard, sliced tomato, shredded lettuce (which was turning brown already) on the side for people to add themselves to the sandwiches. Only thing missing was the meat & cheese There was one slice of meat and one slice of cheese on each roll. Thought it was reasonable priced too till I saw the lack of meat / cheese. Never again. I am impressed with Pinho's and I'll tell you why. I didn't have a good experience when I came in two weeks ago and wrote my review. I've been coming here for about 15 years, ever since high school. I was contacted by the bakery owner and am impressed with her kindness. I will always support local businesses that do honestly care about every customer. It's possible I caught the place on an off day, but the fact that they care enough to find out if/why you left unhappy is the reason this place remains a staple in the community. We absolutely love Pinho's Bakery & Deli. We have never been disappointed whether we enjoyed their delicious donuts, danish, crumb buns or Apple Horseshoe & Birthday Cakes. The deli is equally outstanding, so much so that we find ourselves enjoying breakfasts there several times a week. Of course the bread & rolls are the freshest, the cold cuts are Boars Head, & the daily specials are inviting too. The service is wonderful, the deli ladies are particularly sweet. I cannot say enough good things about this bakery! We order pies from here for the holidays, birthday cakes, and a baby shower cake as well! My boyfriend also loves the natas, so we will always be repeat customers! The baby shower cake was delicious and executed perfectly! I had to come back on here in September 2019 to update this. I haven't back to this bakery in some time and I was so disappointed. I purchased 12 pastries and only one of 12 was edible. When you want pie, cakes, breads or NATAS (their specialty egg custards), you go to Pinhos. I do have to rave about their custards because they are dangerously delicious. They also have a selection of deli and sandwiches on the other side of the bakery. The downside of the place is that it's constantly busy on the bakery side and there's not much of a parking lot. It's mainly street parking and the bakery is on a busy street too. Don't get run over with a box of Natas. When it comes to holidays, it's best you pre-order your pies or desserts because things go fast. So get your butt over to this place and try everything!' read more

This place has gone downhill used to be good now it's just decent. The conolies can be stale or a day old and they just sell those. The cakes can be decent but are really overpriced and expensive if you need one for a party. Not really a fan of the custard cakes. They put this clear glaze over the fruits and cakes and it has a wierd aftertaste didn't really like that last time I had the strawberry shortcake. All there stuff is small and so it can be overpriced for what your getting. Maybe they keep some items longer than it should be there which is why some things may taste stail but who knows. read more

This is my favorite bakery! They are known for their awesome egg tarts, but they have so many good items here other than these. I also love to order their Portuguese sandwiches in bulk for large events. I have ordered as many as 230 of these, and have never been disapppointed! They do a wonderful job, putting them on platters for you, and preparing each one. They also come with shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, mayo, and mustard on the side. This is great, but honestly, I have never needed to add any of these fix-ins to the sandwiches when I personally eat them because their homemade bread and the way they make the sandwiches, are prefect just the way they are. Even though they are small, they are filling. Anyway, I'm yelping today because I ordered a banana cream pie, and WOW!!! This was decadently beautiful as well was super delicious!!! The 3 stars are strictly for their custard cups.. these are absolutely worth coming here for, they are delicious. Unfortunately I'm disappointed in everything else I've tried from this bakery (I've tried sweet things such as cookies and cupcakes, I've never tried bread or anything savory.) It tastes like cheap ingredients such as margarine are used in those items and margarine is a huge turn off of mine. The bakery seems clean and the employees are nice. The only complaints are they used a color icing we specifically asked they not include on one cake and the filling was wrong on another cake.
