The nail tech that I had previously did amazing work, was always on schedule, kind and gentle. When he left I agreed to try someone else and was assigned to Jessica. She was running late and didn't greet me/ introduce herself. Instead she put me in a dirty station next to her to soak my gel nails off and remove them. That would have been fine except she proceeded to take her time with her friend (?)/ last client. When she was finally ready to help me she started her work without even acknowledging that she was nearly 30 minutes late for our appointment. She began her work and was rather rough with me using the Dremel tool and hurting me. When I expressed that she was hurting me, she did not apologize. She kind of shook her head and mumbled something in another language under her breath. After it happened a couple more times I told her that I never had that trouble with Aaron or anyone else before and I've had my nails done many times. She did not acknowledge what I said. At this point, I was kind of appalled and I just told her that she could just remove my nails, and I didn't want her to replace them to which she said "okay" And then she barely took my nails off and I scrubbed out from underneath them myself at their wash sink. I noticed that she had bad hygiene (I thought to myself why would I want to get a manicure from somebody who has dirty fingernails and toenails herself) The owner was very understanding and refunded me the money I spent, but I won't be back They should hire people with more class and respect for their clients Don't go there and if you do stay away from Jessica, (she's easy spot she's dirty / odd looking and rude) It's so sad that one awful person can make you not want to come back anymore. read more

I do not recommend this place. They charge you whatever they feel like, and when you do reach out to them once you go onto their website to check pricing they put the blame on you and say you're confused. I took my 8 and 9 yr olds in for a pedicure/manicure and they charged $50 for my 8yr old and $80 for my 9yr old stating my 9yr old got adult services which she did not and I sent in a screenshot of their online website pricing list of child chair mani pedi combo service at $25 (plus the upcharge of gel polish for both girls which I was aware of) and child service mani pedi combo on adult chair at $30. Mind you my 9yr old is much taller than my 8yr old but nonetheless she's 9, very much a child. When I went back to their website after their email reply, their child service on adult chair was taken off their website and Vi stated they had a planned price refresh which that was the only item they "refreshed" off their services. Vi was who was replying and she kept implying I was confused, when I sent in screenshots of the discrepancy and told them they were dishonest and had over charged me for quite a bit she no longer replied. I wish I would've checked Yelp before hand because apparently this has been an issue for many years. Stay away from this shady business. read more

UNSANITARY!! Came here for a pedicure. The man was doing my pedicure, and mid pedicure goes to put someone's sandals on, clean her tub, and cash her out with the gloves he used to do my pedicure. He then tries to come back to finish my pedicure with the SAME gloves. NOPE! unsanitary! After asking him to change his gloves he couldn't understand why i was asking him to change his gloves. The Removal of old Dip: He peeled my old dip off by using a fake tip and slicing between the dip and my nail. It definitely hurt and I don't think that's good for your nails. It took off all my length because my nails just ripped off w the old dip because they weren't soaked. My nails were shorter than I anticipated because of the rough removal process. He did square nails because they were now too short for the rounded shape I went in with. The New Dip Service: They came out great and the whole appointment only took an hour. I'll probably still round the corners in a few days to prevent chipping or breaking. The cuticle trim was great. They finished with a gel top coat. The Price: This is the most expensive dip manicure I've ever paid for!! $50.95 was the charge to my card and then I tipped $5 in cash. I did not ask ahead or notice any prices listed. But I wished I would have. After reading other reviews it seems as though they have inconsistent pricing...?! Very over priced as far as I'm concerned, and the service is okay at best. They got us in right away which was great, and we had 2 pedis and a manicure in just about an hours time, so great in the time save-plus it's Sunday, so it was challenging to find anything open. 2 basic pedicures and a mani for a man cost us $80!!!!! That is quite high, and my "design" that I got on my toes is terrible! Looks like it was done by a child, and it cost extra. We called to make an appointment for 3 and the indicated they had time right then and there or the next day. We went then, as it's 2 minutes from us. We walked in and were promptly seated: 3 pedicures with 2 manicures. The smallest kid noticed the mini kid spa pedicure chairs decorated with a Disney princess & jet bowl just like the larger ones next to her. We all sat in our chairs, right next to one another. The pedicures were great. The girls got a basic pedicure while I took advantage of their deluxe that included: callous removal, detox or relaxing rinse, sugar scrub, masque, hot towel and longer massage. The girls' manicures were not as great: while sitting in spa chairs they received a minimal cuticle clean up, nail trip and polish. Nothing more as compared to other mail salons. For the little one, I get it but for the teenager we expected more. (-1 star) Another downfall was there was no price list in site. I have no idea how much each service was but assumptions based on market price. (-1 star) Their kid's spas are perfect for young children and are a great & unexpected addition to their salon. 7/30/2022 Update: I still have the infection. The antibiotics and prescription ointment have done nothing for this, it's gone purple and numb which is very serious. I'm lining up another Dr. appointment, I may have to go to the ER if my pc is booked too far out. I have spent nearly a whole month with a severe infection. This establishment has not apologized or refunded me at all. I will be escalating this beyond reporting it to the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology. 7/11/2022 Update: It's been 1 and a half weeks since I got the pedicure. Pink and white nails gave me cellulitis. Cellulitis is a skin infection caused by bacteria. A week and a half has gone by and my toe is still red and filled with puss, continuously getting worse to the point it hurts to walk now. I'm on antibiotics and a prescription strength ointment. Mind you this establishment has not reached out whatsoever or even attempted to make anything right in the moment when I came back to them to show them what they did. I went in for a clean up manicure/pedicure. Hannah was my nail technician. She cut my cuticles on my hands and made me bleed multiple times with clippers (I have pictures to prove this.) Hannah also gave me an excruciating infected toenail. I called in 3 days later and told them that they gave me an infection and they told me to come in so that they could look at it and make sure it isn't just a small ingrown toenail. Hannah started pushing around it with her tools trying to squeeze it. Meanwhile it's red, swollen and filled with green puss. A gentleman who went by Jay Jay I believe, while I was putting on my shoe said to me with a smile "I think it'll be ok, I think it'll be ok." I told him this is not right considering the fact I paid over $70. He said "$70?!" As if I was lying, turned and looked at Hannah and she was shaking her head no and giggling. She must be forgetful, here's the total on my receipt. (By the way, I didn't ask for color or anything. Just trim, shape and buff on both my hands and feet. I paid $75 for the most simple and basic job they could do that I could have easily done at home without getting an infection.) Since nobody at the salon offered to make anything right, I am taking the rest of my business straight to the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology and let them investigate. Detailed photos, videos and copies of medical bills as a result of this establishment giving me cellulitis will be included. read more

First visit today. Extremely disappointing. I pay extra (generally the 2nd or 3rd tier when they hand you a price sheet). I asked for callous treatment and it was 45.00. I truly don't mind paying more when I get a great pedi, BUT this was not! When the sugar scrub is literally two passes on both calves then rinsed off. Awful polish job. The entire $45.00 pedi lasted 35 minutes! AND the nail tech took his phone out of his pocket and multiple times he was texting someone while I sat and waited. Awful. Worst service of my life. I called ahead and asked for a fill with a tip fix and asked if they could do a simple design. They said yes. I asked for Tom but he was unavailable. I got there and was asked over 5 times what I would like. I had to show him a picture of acrylic nails painters white and then the design I wanted. My nail technicians name was Juanito. While he did my nails (my fill took OVER AN HOUR), he filed way too hard and I said ow several times and he could care less. The owner was walking back and forth the whole time by the way. He asked me my age and was talking about marijuana a lot. Super weird, awkward questions. This is a nail salon, I'm supposed to feel pampered and relaxed. The music was very loud and all of the technicians were yelling across the salon in Vietnamese and laughing. It seemed as if they were making fun of me and their other clients. When it came time to do the design, he said he couldn't do it. He asked every single technician in the salon for help and they all refused. 2 of which were sitting on the pedicure chairs getting massages. He then asked me to beg one of the other technicians to do my design. (I mentioned that I used to come to this salon many years ago when I lived at home) so he told me to say this to Tom (the nail tech on a massage chair who previously owned the salon) "please Tom do my design you did my nails when I was little." I said no of course. I ended up saying that the white polish is just fine. I wanted to leave ASAP. He said he wouldn't charge me for the tip fix and when I thanked him he seemed displeased as if I were to be eternally grateful. It was so so odd and I was just taken back by the unprofessionalism here. He did the gel polish I asked for and only put two coats. He YELLED at me each time I had to switch hands under the blue light. When he finished there was nail polish on all of my cuticles and fingers so I asked him to clean it up to which he replied "where." I was fed up so I replied "wherever there is polish that isn't on my nails." I admit that was snarky of me but oh my gosh I was just over everything at this point. Meanwhile the owner is standing nearby and hears and sees everything that's happening. I leave (still tipped him) and that night my gel polish chipped. Two more chips over thanksgiving happened. Then today (two days later) I came back into the salon, and asked if someone could fix it. There were 4 techs present, 2 of which were sitting on their phones and didn't even get up when I came in. I was again asked several times what was wrong with my nails and I just showed them and they said I had to wait until tomorrow so Juanito can fix them. I replied "no one else is available?" And she WALKED AWAY. I am never ever returning to this salon and I wish I could give zero stars. Worst worst worst customer service I have EVER had. I am a pretty lenient person and understanding and I've worked in customer service for years so don't think I'm some random annoyed white lady, I am a woman of color and a very hard worker. I can easily say this was the most awkward/uncomfortable pedicure I have ever had! First, and least of all, the place was messy and disorganized, with stuff piled on top of the back counter. Second, the woman (linda) who did my pedicure ignored me the whole time and was literally texting with one hand while doing my pedicure (not well) with the other. I have never been to a nail salon and saw anyone texting while doing nails it was so unprofessional. It would have been ok if it was a quick text, but she was literally texting THE ENTIRE TIME! I figured she had an emergency she was dealing with, so I didn't say anything. At the end of the pedicure, before she finished painting, she stopped and asked for MY phone. When I asked why, she said she wanted to put her number in my phone so I could reach out to her and schedule my future appointments (because my current experience was going so great, I would naturally want to do this again... ). I didn't feel comfortable giving her my phone, so she waited to finish my nails until I entered her number, and she got a text from me. When it was finally time for payment she started asking for my credit card without asking if I was even going to be paying with credit, and before giving me the price, she was so pushy and insistent it made me very uncomfortable about giving her my card info (I just had a bad feeling). Luckily, I had enough cash to pay, but before she gave me the change, she wanted to know how much I wanted to tip. I thought, after leaving, that would be the end of it, but then I started getting texts from her: "Hi sister good morning When you ready to come enjoy your pedicure and manicure and waxing everything Beautiful again When your toes hurt ingrown nails let me know We open 8PM tonight sister" "Hi sister How are you sister When you ready to come enjoy your pedicure and manicure and waxing everything Beautiful When your toes hurt ingrown nails let me know I book appointment for you ok sister Thanks you sister" And many more, I guess I now know why she was texting the whole time. I have come here for a while, some of the techs know what they are doing. Some do not. I normally always make an appointment with The same lady, this last time even with my appointment with her, I got brushed off to someone else for my pedi, she ended up cutting my skin off, blood was dripping everywhere. Then she tried to throw my foot back into the soaking water that had my dead skin floating in it, along with the cuticle removal chemicals. I have an open cut down the right side of my big toe, I had to angry that she kept trying to put my foot in there. I ended up leaving, without the rest of my pedi, or paint. This place took same day appointment which was great! My friend and I decided to stop by a couple Sundays ago and we loved it! She got a manicure and I got a pedicure. The nail tech was very throughout and had a great attention to detail. This was by far one of the best pedicures I've had. So glad we stumbled upon this little gem! So glad I have a place on the north side where I can go and know they're work is going to be to my satisfaction. Basic pedicures will run you $25 and the deluxe is $45, not sure what other options they have for pedicures are but even the $25 pedicure is well worth it. I went to this shop 3 times. The first time, I thought it was great. I got a new full set of nails and they looked good. The 2nd and 3rd times were horrible. When I went the 2nd time, for a fill with the same nail tech as the first time, Tom. HE broke one of my nails with his new electric nail file and then charged me for a full set because he had to do one new nail. He still did a good job, although it felt a little rushed. When I went the third time, it was horrible. I made a last minute appointment for 10am with a woman named Linda. I arrived at 10:02 because of traffic. She had already been texting me since 9:40am to "come now". She scolded me for being 10 minutes late. I told her it was only 2 minutes, but still apologized. I previously had the colored powdered acrylic in teal on my nails and wanted a fill and to have a nude color. She said she could not do a light color on the teal acrylic unless I got a new set. So, I said okay, lets do a new set. She proceed to get a piece of metal, that resembled a box cutter blade and jammed it between the acrylic and and real nail. It hurt! When I winced, she started saying, "No, can't do. You already cry. You can't handle. You cry too much. Too sensitive." I was shocked. Now, I realize there were so many times, I should have just left. She finished removing the one nail, then haphazardly applied a new one. I had asked for an almond shape and she didn't do that. I picked a different color because she refused to try a nude color. The nails were lumpy in some sections, and the new nail she applied was crooked. When I pointed it out she LITERALLY said, "No, that's your finger. Your finger crooked." I thought I was in a movie! Like, is she joking with me? When, I told her it was the way she filed it that made it crooked, she gave me the nail file and said to do it myself. I handed it back to her and asked her to file it. She didn't. I asked again if she was going to file my nails into an almond shape. She said, "Next time go that guy, he knows how to shape like almond." She pointed at another tech. She also said, "I like you. But you see other tech instead, they help you better." I was again, charged a full set because she had to do ONE complete new nail. Remember, she refused to do the rest of the nails because I winced, one time. She really did a horrible job. DO NOT SEE LINDA, she is rude and unprofessional. Her skills are either lacking or she did a crappy job on my nails on purpose. She didn't paint them well. One of them immediately lifted when I left. I was too pissed off to go back and didn't really have time to do so. That same day, the back of the nails began to lift. My hair was getting caught under the acrylic she lazily applied. Sadly, for me I could walk to the Pink n White on Houghton, but Ken is worth the drive to Silverbell! First off, Ken has two entire camera's full of his nail art...all originals, not duplicates. It is so fun to see what he has done. He is a master at shellac (they use Gelish) and nail art. He will even match your nails to your pedi. Do you love nail blogs, pinterest, makeup alley? Well, Ken is your guy! Bring him any idea and he will bring it to life. He can even paint scorpions, cartoon characters, Halloween spooks, you name it! Seriously, Ken is PIMP, Ken is BOSS!! He takes his time, adding multiple layers, colors, file techniques, making sure your polish will last three weeks....he is a perfectionist and it shows. I think my current nails have 5 different polishes and many, many, layers BUT they are not thick. He shapes the nails perfectly and give a great hand/arm rub down. I love this place!!!! I am loyal...I am seriously even considering starting my own nail blog, just to boast about Ken. Make sure you call many days in advance for Ken as he is the hot ticket item. I won't recommend this place. The staff was on the rush to finish the service. I had my acrylic nails removed but it was the most painful way. The staff only ripped the acrylic nail, that I could feel my nails were separating from my skin. When my footspa was done, since they were really rushing the service I just realized thAt the back of my legs were full of white spots from the soap that they used, I was told by my sister when she saw my legs when we were walking. They also verbally demand how much tip you need to give them. Again, not a good place to get a "pamper day" for yourself. read more

I am a visitor from San Diego so I'm only out here once or twice a year. This is the salon I usually come to when I'm out here. I went in and realized there is a new owner, so I was a bit leery since the other owner used to do my nails and was really good. But, I really needed my nails done and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed!!! The new owner did my fill and it was great! He listened to my requests and did them really thin down by the cuticle. I also got a lip wax and my daughter got her toes and fingers painted, with a cute flowers of course! The staff was very nice and helpful. Very reasonably priced too. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because when we got home my daughters nails got messed up immediately, so be sure they are dry before you leave. It's as if you are making their day inconvenient because they had to do work at work. I got up mid pedicure because I can't pay $$ for something half-done. She forgot to trim the cuticles on one entire foot because she was distracted with what was going on around her. Will never be back. Not all the nail techs at this establishment are like this but it only takes one to ruin the whole place. I haven't been here in a long time but I needed my nails done today and they were open late. The tech Aaron did a great job with filing. As I didn't see pricing posted, I asked up front how much it would cost. First he said $40 for dip nails, then he went to $50. I asked if they charged for shaping and he said yes. When asked how much, he said $5. Then I told him that would mean it costs $45 and not $50. He said that was true and it would be $45. Another older male tech, checked me out and told me it was $50. I let him know the first person said it was $45. He yelled at me, "I said fifty!" I repeated I was told $45. He said fine and ran my card. When I got receipt it was $45.95. As past reviews they may do a good job with nails but their customer service is horrible and pricing is shady, especially when they don't post what they charge. I won't be going back. read more
