Before the remodel it was OK little small but it was our little place that we always went to. The food was good and service was not bad. During Covid they remodeled and in my opinion the foods better now. Love their crab-cakes, can't get enough of them, and we lived in Maryland for a while. Reason No 5-star, which I would clearly do, is because of one individual ruined our weekly night out was a waitress named Heather. The interaction began a little after we were seated. She was very rude to us right off the start for some reason. She brought two other tables water right away whereas I had to ask for. When we began to order she asked how I wanted my crab-cakes cooked and I said blackened. I tell her again because the first time she was not even listening to me and I had to repeat my order. Low and behold when I received them after the awesome house salad, I realized that they were not blackened it was grilled. I asked her, "is this blackened?" And she stared a moment and said uh no. She checked her order book and realized that she wrote down blackened and so she said, " I could bring the seasoning out and you just sprinkle it on top because that's what they do anyway." I was appalled at this comment and responded, "no they sprinkle it and then cook it and it's not the same thing." She just walked away after that comment. I'm not certain if she was ever a chef, but don't think that's a place I'd visit if she was. When it was time for the check, I asked if we could speak to a manager. She started to pick up my plate and I commented if she could leave it there so the manager could see it. She literally threw it back down on the table and stormed off. I was not going to leave a bad review on yelp but after that I believe you needed to be made aware of this. Manager Chris came out to patio, asked us to move away from the other customers which was good in my opinion because Heather was still there cleaning other peoples tables. We went around the corner where we proceeded to tell him everything about the situation. Evidently she clearly had an issue with us from the start and was giving us attitude even after I tried to joke with her. So the outcome of this ruined evening and why no 5 star was not because of manager Chris, but no one would might not read if a five. However, manager Chris was able to salvage our date night evening by comping our whole meal including the drinks. He is also leaving an envelope at the bar for next time when we go in there. We are regular's almost weekly, I will probably update this review after we go again. We usually do not like getting anyone in trouble and as I said I tried to diffuse her attitude towards us bu joking, but her demeanor was inappropriate in the service industry, no excuses. We normally reflect the personality towards in relation to tipping which I usually start at 22% and it's up to the staff to keep it that high based on personality and interaction towards us. Bottom line: good place, probably a 5 star for me.

Bob was the one who personally guaranteed the food would be set aside--and it still wasn't. To make matters worse, after failing to honor that guarantee, they still charged us for drinks when we left without eating. A guarantee means nothing if you don't stand behind it. This shows a complete lack of accountability and respect for customers. We will not be back.
