Honesty I am not really a fan of Molly tea but their magnets are so damn cute that I have to collect them. There is always a line here so expect a long wait time. This place is really small so it gets crowded very fast from people waiting in line to order to order pick ups. I don't think I would be able to guess which drink is from Molly Tea in a blind boba tea taste test. I like the pun (play on words) on "Molly" as it sounds pretty similar to the Chinese word for jasmine (茉莉/Mò Lì). They mainly want to emphasize their unique take on various jasmine-based milk teas. Not much of an ambiance as it's only a small shop with minimal space inside (grab and go kind of space). Literally the size of two bathroom stalls. Staff is nice and helpful though. Always happen to see tons of people standing in the front waiting for their orders while passing by. Had it not been for the free limited edition Christmas enamel pin with the two holiday drink purchase combo, I probably wouldn't even have stopped by. Heard lots of horror stories for the 1-hour wait on the weekends. IDK about you but I don't think I have that kind of patience or time to wait just for boba teas. Too bad they didn't let people just buy the pin ($8 value) on its own, otherwise I definitely would have done that without a doubt! Customers can pay cash or card and place an order in person or via food delivery apps like Fantuan or Hungry Panda. This drink would be refreshing on a hot day but the flavor kind of threw me off. Never a more frustrating experience ordering tea before. There have been times when the order was incorrect but never an issue with ordering. To be honest Molly Tea was running a promo, a BOGO on select teas which caused lines to swell greatly. Little did I know the wait would be over an hour. If I had known beforehand, I would not have given up an hour of my life waiting for tea. During the promotion, they continued to accept orders online which added to the confusion. The lack of organization added to the wait with some employees standing outside holding mini iPads, that quite frankly could have assisted in taking orders or provided heads up on the promo offer details. Finally went to try this tea. I always see long lines at this place so one day when I was free with time decided to come try it. The wait was CRAZY! I waited over half an hour for my drink. Most people seemed to have this app in Chinese where you can order and see when your order number is ready. Molly Tea is located amongst several tea spots in Flushing. Like the others, this isn't a large space with only a small customer area. What makes Molly stand out (for me at least) are the elevated aesthetics and different types of teas offered. All of the employees were wearing the same dark uniforms and were donned in pink masks. These colors are extended throughout the space in the aesthetics, tea cups, and bags. The menu contains several variety of teas - the obligatory ones seen in other spots as well as some more unique ones. Their specialty are "snowy" teas, which utilize whipped cream on top. Their white champaca looked intriguing so I decided to go with that. For all their teas they recommend light ice and 70% sugar - I got the light ice but didn't want it too sweet so I went with 30% sugar. The tea was pretty good - it was too floral for my personal taste, but that's more a me thing. The quality of the tea and the flavor were there and I could see that past my personal preferences. Service was also good - they have a kiosk in addition to in-person ordering to help with flow. I would suggest asking the employees for your order if it doesn't show up on the board as being ready, as several of our orders were not showing up. Overall though, I had a good experience at Molly Tea, and wouldn't be against returning to try more of their teas. read more

I think Molly Tea is just okay. I've tried it twice so far.. L doesn't wait in long lines; it's not like they're giving away anything. So I've always ordered on UE for pick up. It's a pretty simple process. It's a lil more $ but so is wasting a hr waiting. I've tried 3 drinks here. We usually stick to the Jasmine Mango smoothie. I tried a tea, and the Snowy Jasmine. We didn't like the last 2 drinks. It's just not that flavorful.. I do drink tea at home for health purposes and at Chinese restaurants but I do not order tea drinks at bubble tea shops. So we're happy they do have a jasmine mango drink available. It's good. Comparable to HT. Luckily there's a lot of good bubble tea shops within a blocks radius that don't have a massive line. Though one thing we do like. The bag they give is reusable and very useful. read more

Huge fan of Molly Tea since I've tried them a couple months back. First time visiting the Flushing location. Molly tea is definitely a trendy type of tea which is not just good in the aesthetic of the look of their cups and decor, but also the great quality of tea they serve. They recommend to get their drinks at less ice and 70 percent sugar. It is the right balance even at that ratio since the sweetness is spot on without being super sweet and strong tea flavor. I tried the premium jasmine tea and the white champaca tea. Next time I'm planning to try something from the snowy whipped cream series. The only thing was that it was a little hard to hear inside the shop when ordering. Other than that the service was great and we would come back again. read more
