It was such a cozy spot that really hit the spot. I got a green tea boba with passionfruit flavor and an egg salad croffle. Everything felt like a super filling breakfast, and the whole thing came out to just $11. The drink was a nice tall iced one too. I was so happy to see Yaaas Tea open up in Queens! I've been to their other locations, and had checked them out during their grand opening. They are conveniently located by the train station and bus stop. I got here a little after 7 AM, which is when they open. I love that they're open so early, since most bubble tea spots don't open until 10-11 AM. This is great for a quick grab before work. Street parking was easy around the corner at this time. They have a couple tables and counter seating if you're looking to sit and chill a while, or even stay indoors while waiting for your bus! The service is very friendly and informative. I knew what I wanted to order, so I ordered at one of the two kiosks they have at the counter. I got myself an Iced Matcha Oat Milk Tea and a Chicken Salad Croffle. I barely waited 5 minutes. There were people who ordered pickup and their drinks were ready for them when they came in. The Iced Matcha Oat Milk Tea (light ice, 25% sugar) could use a bit more matcha, since oat milk has a strong flavor. There are other customizations you can make (such as boba or cream), so I wish there was an option to add more matcha. It wasn't sweet at all, which I enjoyed. I'll probably stick to the Iced Dark Chocolate Matcha Oat Milk Tea, which I got last time. The Chicken Salad Croffle was packed with a good amount of chicken salad. The salad is peppery, not overly sauced, and has a nice crunch of celery, all of which is complimented by the crisp and slightly sweet croffle. I ate mine over an hour later and it held its shape perfectly. I'm thrilled that Kew Gardens/ Forest Hill now has a boba tea shop! This is a brand I've followed on social media. I know they opened a location in Long Island. So, when my friend told me they opened one nearby, I couldn't wait to try their drinks. This is my second visit, and I haven't been disappointed. The service was great. They didn't take long to make my drink. I went early in the day when it wasn't busy. The place was quiet. I ordered an Earl Grey milk tea with coconut milk. I was surprised to see coconut milk as an option since it's rare at boba shops. I prefer it over whole milk, so I was happy to have the choice. The drink wasn't too sweet. It was just right. After a long day of weekend errands, we end it with boba. This isn't far from our home, so we made a stop here. There hasn't been any good boba by us so we were skeptical. To our surprise, it's actually very good and the people there were very nice. Amy was helpful and pleasant to speak to. She even gave us some cookies, and they were crunchy sweet heaven. First Yaas tea in Queens finally! I was super excited as I heard great things about the Long Island branches. I was so lucky to have met the owners/partners, and they're all so friendly. Yaaas Tea has the freshest boba. They make boba by the hour and it's so good. It's one of best that I've tried. They have fruit drinks along with other milk tea flavors. They also serve croffle sandwiches and thin and crispy cookies. I haven't tried the croffle sandwiches, but I'm a fan of their thin and crispy cookies. I personally like butter pecan cookies and my kids like the red velvet ones. They also have chocolate chip cookies which is also good. I like that it's not too sweet and it comes in a cute container so the cookies won't crumble. The crispiness goes so well with bubble tea. The place is so cute, there's a kiosk and also cashier. It was a tad bit too sweet for me, so I should have either adjusted the sweetness or picked another flavor. I was only going to try two (one for me, one for my husband) but I couldn't help but to try three & don't regret it! But first of all, I love that the cups have a lid that's sealable (not sure if it's airtight or anything but I DO NOT suggest flipping it upside down to check ) I got the Earl Grey Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Matcha Milk Tea-- no ice, 50% sugar, & boba on the side (I'm sensitive to caffeine but I got them at night so I asked for no ice & boba on the side & just had the boba) The level of sugar (50%) was on point & the boba was so good and fresh! I usually don't like the boba because it's hard or mushy but the taste and texture was perfect. Also, I'm not sure why but usually, if I leave a milk tea in the fridge, the milk starts separating from whatever is in there??? And I'm usually a little disgusted to drink it. BUT that did NOT happen to any of these milk teas. Yaaas was a brand that was mostly based in Long Island so when I got word that the new location was going to be in Queens, I was very happy for the neighborhood! I have been to most of their other locations so I know their brand very well and standard of quality. This particular store in Queens is quite special for a few different reasons. First off, the great expansion in to Queens is a big deal and I knew many people who made the trip to Long Island just to order drinks! The hours are a little different than some of the other stores but the management here knows the area and the customer base. The location on Queens Blvd is right near the local bus stop and subway so very convenient for commuters, students and those that happen to be nearby. For those who choose to drive, there is parking in the street (not directly in front due to the bus stop) but on the sides and further down Queens Blvd). They opened during the holiday period which is usually a slow time for most businesses but they rode out the storm and have made some good relations in the community as well. They are open very early at 7a and offer some snack and breakfast options (but it is actually all day breakfast for those who eat later) that include some delicious savory and dessert croffles. Each one is made fresh to order. I am a big fan of the cookies they sell., The 3 pack is the best deal and you will definitely be hooked once you start noshing on them. Classic chocolate chip and Red Velvet are the top in my book. This location has some room for indoor seating by the window or in the center if you are not in a hurry and want to relax with your drinks and snacks. Ultimately it is very efficient with kiosk ordering or you can order with a staff member. The most convenient way is via the Yaas tea app on your smart phone. The drinks are always ready by the time i arrived and there was a special discount code that could be used specifically for this Forrest Hills location (check with the store for details as some codes may have expired). My go to drinks are usually the the slushies like the Orea and the Matcha. i would definitely recommend to order ahead as those drinks take a little bit more time to make. The classic brown sugar brulee bobo is always a favorite and for something refreshing you cannot go wrong with their fruit tea selections. The tapioca pearls are always made fresh here on a strict schedule so no matter what time you order a drink you are getting fresh pearls in your drinks. The staff here is always very polite. The management team deserves special shoutout. Michelle and Amy are always so welcoming and at first I did not even know they were the owners of this particular location. They hustle and work hard when it is busy because they care about their customers. They were trained by Kelly so they are upholding the high standards of the Yaaas tea brand. They are not kidding about the fresh boba every hour. After seeing the doctor early in the morning we decided to try their breakfast items and tea. Inside was small but cutely decorated. Unfortunately, it was cold inside as it was outside. Still they greeted us warmly. We ordered off the kiosk in the front. The iced white chocolate matcha oat milk looked interesting so we got a large with boba to share. I got the ham, egg, and cheese croffle (cross between a croissant and waffle) while my daughter got the Nutella and banana croffle. We waited a little for them to make the food. There were a few table inside the small store. When we got our sandwiches they were warm. Mine had a huge fluffy egg and gooey cheese. I wished there was more than a thin single slice of ham though. The outside was crunchy but not flaky like a croissant and slightly sweet. I prefer this to an actual croissant. My daughter said she like that they used a whole banana for her croffle. The tea wasn't bad. It did have the taste of oat milk. There were also strong notes of matcha and white chocolate. But it was the bubbles (boba) that were a surprise. The earl grey milk tea was so yummy and I think the tapioca they use is infused with brown sugar so less sweetness in your drink is probably the way to go for milk drinks. I've had their brown sugar bubble tea and it was delicious so I decided to switch it up and try the fruit teas. I like how you can choose both the amount of sugar and the amount of fruit syrup in your drink. I got 2 pumps of fruit syrup and 25% sugar for both the passionfruit green tea and peach green tea. I ordered through the app and pickup was fast. The teas came in a nicely insulated bag which was very generous of them.
