Although we weren't able to get the Rooftop Terrace since it was already filled , the ambiance was still nice on the other floor. Our waiter was friendly and gave helpful suggestions. Along with the generous portion of Burrata Pappa al Pomodoro for appetizer, we ordered the Spaghetti All'Arrabita and La Fameuse Pate a La Truffe. Both pasta dishes were delicious and tasty. Lots of hype on this establishment, honestly it was "so-so." Table service in Paris is typically slow...as an American this is a hard fact for me to overcome. After we placed our order, it took a solid 15 minutes to get the bottle of wine we ordered. We ordered two appetizers and one was never brought to us. The "ham drops" were good, but the server did not bring bread to accompany the appetizer for at least ten minutes after the appetizer was served. For dinner, I ordered the steak medium-rare with potatoes. The color of the steak looked excellent, but the quality of the beef was poor. Tough crust on the outside, and not that tender. It lacked taste and flavor. My wife had risotto, that had an overpowering cheese flavor. She was a bit disappointed. The restaurant is loud and noisy. A lot of times, insta-restaurants are overhyped. Pink Mamma, and the Mamma group restaurants, are not overhyped. The vibe, service, and food at Pink Mamma is 10/10 and well deserving of the long lines. In case you are wondering, even if you made a reservation (a must--seriously!!), and your goal is to sit on the top floor with the beautiful glass rooftop, you STILL need to show up before they open. We had reservations at 12:15 and showed up at 11:40. A line quickly formed behind us. Those without reservations but we're ahead of us we're given bar seats downstairs. So reservation +showing up before they open should give you a chance to sit upstairs. The service was impeccable. The servers were very nice and recommended a small appetizer when we only ordered entrees. The serving size is huuuge though. I wish we just got one dish and split it. My teen and I were chasing the IG photo vibes leaving Libertine from dinner to come here for dessert. We tried getting reservations a week or so prior, but no luck. We waited about 30 minutes at 21:00 and got seated at the cooking counter.The chefs were all speaking Italian and we had fun watching them cook. In full disclosure we only came for drinks and desserts. The server had to ask the manager if it was ok for us to be there only for drinks and desserts. Came here based on a recommendation and images on Instagram... WOW! So happy I did! The ambiance is absolutely incredible, the restaurant is a few floors accessible by the most stunning staircase. Worst experience everrr!!!! I made reservations almost two weeks in advance and had high expectations due to great reviews about food, and ambience and first time in Paris. I arrived and was directed to seat myself on the second floor. I waited approximately 45 minutes for the waiter to even approach me for my drink order. Mind you, he had been serving two girls right next to me. I waited an additional 20 minutes for him to return and take my food order, which he didn't, so at that point I decide to ask for the check. He then yelled it was a restaurant and I needed to order food. I explained that I had waited long enough, and had to leave for a show. He repeated himself and yelled it was unacceptable. Ill be honest a lot of the random cafes and such in Paris didn't have good food. Everything was very bland. I think its because I'm from America and we eat with a lot of salt. My dad ordered a martini with Kettel One, pretty simple and no real language barrier. They brought a glass of Martini & Rossi sweet vermouth with olives. No vodka. So he requested they return it and just bring vodka over ice. The waiter never brought it. We waited 45 minutes before getting someone to take our drink and appetizer order. Tried to order wine and they were out of the first three things we tried to order. Big Burrata appetizer was good - but it had no seasoning, pesto or anything on it and it arrived with 4 half slices of bread for four people. We had to ask several times for more bread. As for the menu - I've never had such a hard time finding something to order at an Italian restaurant. The Osso Buco was more like a sauce, not served on the bone and no big chunks of meat. The pappardelle with beef was delicious, but more like a beef stroganoff rather than a bolognese. The lobster pasta was expensive and disappointing. Flavorless. I have been to Paris the last two years now and on both trips this still is one of my favorite places to eat while in Paris. And yes, its ironic considering this is Italian themed food. But its just so good! I've only visited for dinner and each time have arrived about 30 minutes prior to the restaurant opening - and there's always been a line. However, all three times as soon as the restaurant opens everyone that was in line was immediately placed at a table - so recommend getting there prior to opening and just be prepared to hang out in line for a little bit. Over the course of three visits we've explored different items and have enjoyed everything we've had - the truffle pasta is always a must, but the pizza and steaks are delicious as well.
