I've been here a handful times of times but I gave up trying to enjoy it. Colorful atmosphere but staff was rude on more than one visit. I had trouble communicating with staff or feeling like staff understood my requests due to what I would consider a language barrier or rudeness . The specials were also not clearly marked . We came expecting to get lunch one day but they had already cut off lunch hours even tho they weren't posted . Advertised drink specials that weren't available . Specials just confusing overall . We had a very nice but inexperienced waitress that did not have a good understanding of the English language. The bigger problem is the manager named Carmen. She did adjust the bill appropriately for the misunderstandings, but she did not treat us with respect. She made us feel like a bother. A group of 10 ladies went to the Pink Tequila in North Port on Monday for lunch. The decor could not be more charming and adorable. Even the potties were pretty! Our waiter, Jesus, was very kind and efficient. The food seemed good; no one complained. Someone mentioned that the prices have increased from what they used to be, which is par for the course all over (about $10 an entree for lunch). I enjoy going to this Mexican restaurant, Pink Tequila, not far from my house. They make me feel welcome if I come alone,especially after my husband passed away recently. They have excellent margaritas and food. I just wish that the Mexican restaurants down here in Florida would know what "green chili" is. None of them know what it is. It's made from green chili peppers from Hatch, NM, has chicken pieces and is a sauce which smothers Burritos. So good. Mostly in restaurants in Colorado, NM, AZ. Pink Tequila has 2 other restaurants. Another one the "Blue Tequila" is also in North Port, FL. And the newest one the "Lime Tequila" which I still need to go to :-) read more

well I have family members who go to your establishments that where there on 3/26/24. One of them ordered and didn't what she ordered 3 different times and the last time they finally brought the right order everyone else was done eating. They brought her food out everone else was done and the owner got smart with her and said this wasn't a fast food place after she asked them to just box it up. They said the wouldnt charge her for it and they did anyway. Someone in the group said she shouldn't have to pay for it so she got her money back after there was a fight over it. Needless to say the group will not be back . They sometimes have 18 people or more go. So I wouldn't give them a good rating. It just sucks. The place is packed, full bar, full tables and a line outside because it's worth it! The staff is super friendly, delicious food, great happy hour and they are all about delivering a great time while you are here. I catch myself thinking about their homemade warm thin salty chips and salsa that they bring you immediately when seated. Like none other! The menu has something for everyone. The portions are generous- I have always brought food home! Grab a place at the bar if you can! I was so excited to come into this place because the ambience is great... I ordered the house margarita and it was super sweet... I asked if it was a mix or if The bartender made it from scratch... they admit it it was a mix... So disappointed!!! You go to a place called the "Pink Tequila" and order their house margarita and you expect it to be fresh not a premix. Next came the Chimichanga California... The outside was so soggy and inside was frozen vegetables... I Pointed out to the waiter that the chimichanga California was a frozen product reheated and he said no no no I said I think so... Then he asked and the cook said yes it was. I sent the entire plate back... Then the bill came and I had to say "I think there was a mistake you charged me for that plate I sent back"... After a bit of conversation they finally took the plate off the bill. I sooooo wanted to love this place! It is cute and the music is great. Our first few visits to Pink Tequila were okay. We liked the decor and the vibe. The guacamole was made table side but it was unremarkable. The margaritas tasted mostly of mix. On our last visit we sat at the bar because seats were available. We unintentionally watched the bartenders making drinks and noticed the pours of alcohol are VERY, VERY short with unrecognizable brands. I ordered sangria which was made by the glass with red wine, a short poor of brandy(?) and ONE blueberry- not good. We ordered street tacos and chicken and beef fajitas. I am doing this review as a warning to anyone who wants to go to this restaurant and feel safe from COVID 19. DON'T! I'm not a mask nut, but do try and be considerate when I go out and only go to places where I feel safe as my wife and I are both 70. When restaurants opened up for inside business we went to find places to eat that were keeping social distancing and the employees were wearing masks. We were so happy that the Pink Tequila had masks and had plastic put between the booths. We actually went there quite often since then but hadn't been there since the state opened back up completely. Fortunately most all restaurants we've been to since then are still keeping table distances and the employees are still wearing masks and keeping the place sanitized and at least to the eye, safe. Remember, 80% of COVID cases can be traced to restaurants, bars and churches. Well, last night we went there to have dinner. The manager was standing behind the register with no mask on but the hostess was wearing one and she sat us. The person came by with the chips and salsa and he had no mask on. I laid my phone and umbrella (dry) on the table next to me. The waitress came up and she too had no mask on. I asked if she could put on a mask and she said that she had one in back and then continued to ask for our order. I ask if she'd get her mask, she got mad and turned around and asked another server with a mask to take care of us. She took our drink order. As I reached for the salt (everything is now back on the table without having to ask for them as before) I noticed the table still had food all over it from the previous guests and my phone and umbrella were in it. We went to change tables at our server's request (she was very nice). I asked her to send the manager over as I just wanted to ask him why they let down their guard so much. He came by, still without a mask and leaned into within 3 feet of my face, which thankfully we still had our masks on. I asked him if he'd put on a mask and he said, and I quote, "I'M NOT YOUR SERVER." With that my wife and I got up and walked out. I started to ask why they changed their safety and he angrily told me "you should stay home and not go out." read more
