After walking all the way down Fremont Street, we were searching for a sweet treat. Pinkbox did not disappoint! The line was long, and I imagine it sometimes gets longer given the queue they had set up. Service was quick though. Seems like homelessness and soliciting are issues here, as they had security stationed nearby. No seating inside, but it is attached to a casino. We grabbed one of the Pop-Tarts-inspired doughnuts and shared it. It was big enough to share. Super flavorful, filled with nostalgic strawberry filling and creamy frosting. A perfect representation of a classic strawberry Pop-Tart in doughnut form. They have lots of very unique flavors, which is one of my favorite things when checking out a new spot. I love when I can get something truly special. I will definitely make this Pinkbox a regular stop when visiting the downtown area of Vegas. read more

With this flavor in particular, you have to be careful with the jelly because it may get on your shirt. What I appreciated most is that it wasn't overbearingly sweet. The tartness from the jelly balanced the sugar donut exterior. This spot is located in Plaza Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas. Definitely a convenient spot for anyone staying at the Plaza or if you're near Fremont Street. The interior is very pink and vibrant. There were many different flavors and designs to choose from. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with display cases full of unique donuts ranging from original sugar donuts to filled and cronuts. This place is one of the few food stops my group of four made throughout our time just outside the border of Fremont Street - technically in downtown Las Vegas near the Plaza Hotel Casino - on a Friday evening around 7pm, mostly because we wanted something sweet. For its name it is bright pink inside and even outside the building. Heck, even the huge donut display is pink! Donuts offered include cake with buttercream, cheese-filled kinds and even a regular donut shaped like a hand when it's making the "peace" sign! There was a mango based donut (mango tango) that was donut of the month but that was sold out by the time we got here. Staff behind the counter grab the donuts for you given they're in stock, and you can get one donut by itself or grab many in a box. I got their limited edition Dubai Chocolate 2.0 donut, which is a chocolate cake with pistachio flavoring and a ton of sprinkles on top. Decent for the most part though very heavy and quite sweet. I couldn't really taste the pistachio as the Dubai chocolate itself was already very strong and prominent throughout the donut. Looked good, tasted blah! I stayed at the Golden Nugget three nights and decided I'd get up really early one morning so I could be there soon after opening and get some fresh treats. We decided to visit a location off the Strip, and it was absolutely the right call--easy to get to, less crowded, and a great experience overall. Saw everyone walking around with these donut boxes, so I had to check this place out -- and wow, the variety is insane. There were so many options to choose from. A few flavors were sold out when I went, but we still grabbed the John Lemon and the Oreo donut. Both were delicious -- sweet, but in a good way. I'm here to tell you you're so wrong, and from someone who doesn't like donuts - I truly was licking the box clean. As you step inside you're overwhelmed with a crowd of patrons, the smell of sugar, sounds of the casino right next door & lines of donuts with the most creative flavors you've ever seen. It's pretty difficult to make a decision between them all, but there is no wrong choice. The flavors we got were: Pop tart (Poppin' Tart) Crème brulee (The Blow Torch) Cinnamon roll (Cinna-roll Out) Banana pudding (Banana Puddin') Coffee cake (Crumb Cake) Cronut (Plain Face DoughCro®) My favorite and one that surprised me the most was the creme brulee. While other donut spots make the sugar topping insanely hard (to the point where it breaks apart and becomes a weapon) the layer of sugar here was thinner and much easier to consume. If you're not a fan of charred sugar this wouldn't be the one for you, as it does taste a bit like a burnt marshmallow, but I absolutely loved it. The cream filling was exactly what you want and the donut itself was tasty and not dry in the slightest. It took me a few days to write this review and actually consume every donut, and surprisingly after two days of sitting in the box they were not stale at all and all tasted amazing. I wish I lived nearby so I could try more flavors, but I would happily consume these donuts over Krispy Kreme / Dunkin / anywhere else. read more

This bright, fun shop caught my eye as we were entering the Plaza casino. I strolled in and eyed alllllll the choices. Oh my! Wow how does one decide ? I didn't buy at that time but left and was gaming right outside the shop. As my friend was playing I popped in to make a decision. Would I go with my stand by: choc frosted glazed with sprinkles ?? I'm a fan of doughnuts, but there were so many other eateries in the city I wanted to try that this was never a place that piqued my interest. The brand is such Vegas - a suggestive slogan and over-the-top decoration - though I'm not sure what the mascot is supposed to be and I'm not asking. The interior was very pink, though it wasn't sensory overload as it's also quite spacious and very clean. There is a large variety of doughnuts that line the back wall - they're very evenly placed and was super satisfying to view. I decided to go simple and get a chocolate frosted and strawberry frosted; both were very good, as good as any other shop that serves good doughnuts. I wouldn't say it's anything too noteworthy, but it's also not bad. Service was also good - I was taken care of promptly. We were on Fremont Street and we had seen the huge Pink Box sign and just had to give it a try! They have so many designs, flavors, and they even provide coffee and other drinks!! The Iced coffee was delicious. My daughter tried the reindeer poo doughnut, my sister got a Christmas tree, and we just picked random ones. They were delicious but you cant eat a whole one! They are so filling that you'll have enough for the next day. None of us finished them but they were good!! Just lots of sugar Im glad we got to try them and they are not badly priced. I do not know if they were dry because it was later at night. It was around 10pm when we went. We tried 3 different doughnuts, and they are fairly priced for what you get as they are nicely designed and do really look good. It just did not meet my expectation as far as tastes goes. My husband was not really a fan either, and he will pretty much eat anything. I have tried some more expensive donut places that did not even look that great... As far as service. The workers were really friendly and helpful in explaining the donuts and telling us what was really popular. There are so many flavors of donuts. It is overwhelming to chose just 1 or 2. This donut shop is connected to the Plaza hotel in the downtown Fremont Street area, so it is very easy to get to if you are staying in the Fremont Street area. We stayed at the Downtown Grand and it was walking distance. Would I come back?
