Ok, so I'm not the Duke of donuts but Randy's donuts are pretty darn good. Today I found myself in need of a little bit of a boost... as we used to say a fighters pilot breakfast, sugar and caffeine to get you going (albeit, you crash a few hours later), but anyway I was on rainbow, not far from Randy's and it was on my side of the street. Pulled into the drive thru, I only wanted one donut so it wasn't worth going in. The faceless voice in the speaker responded right away and told me to wait one ...(turned out to be about five minutes) ... ordered my chocolate donut ($2.50) and drove away to nibble each time a traffic light turned red. The donut was more cake like, a real opposite from Kristy Kremes airy creations. It was sweet and you could get a tiny bit of a hint of oil or fat that actually made that donut tastier. I've had the aforementioned Krispy Kreme's, pink box and even Dunkin , Randy's definitively was my first choice for a return visit . Their donut price structure has three tiers, with the top of the line at $3.00 per. Just a good thing I don't live nearby, or I'd be there much more frequently ... Didn't ask for a military discount for one donut... just gave the cashier $3.00 and told her to keep the change (and just got a faint nod in return rather than a quick thanks). First time trying this new donut shop that's super popular in the Los Angeles area. The biggest competitor is located right next to it; Stan's donut. They have been there a ling time and staked its territory so I wanted to try to compare. I tried their original glazed donut since you could tell a lot about a classic no-frill donut. The texture was super fluffy and fresh here and you could tell a tjey serve them right on the spot and it's not sitting around. Price range I would say it's a little bit higher than the normal donut shop. In addition to the classic donuts, they also have a bunch of topped off and filled donuts as well. Nutella raised donut had thick layer of Nutella topped with graham cracker. Strawberry jelly donut topped with powdered sugar and filled with a ton of jelly. The best thing about Randy's donuts is the service. Everyone I've ever encountered there has been extraordinarily helpful. Professional. Pleasant. Really makes it a pleasure to go. As a matter of fact I probably wouldn't go back where not for the people that work there. The apple fritter is good. The cream filled at eclaire style is good. The coffee is hit and miss. The only thing I find amazing is that they refer to them as being baked when in fact, donuts are fried! But make no mistake about it. Just went here for the first time and honestly, it's butt, half the menu is "discontinued" and customer service was trash from the "hello" not sure how this place is still open... donuts was aight and "self serve coffee" is crazy.... We love trying different donut shops for the variety and flavors. My girlfriend loves apple fritters and glazed donuts. The dough in all of the donuts have a cinnamon/ cornbread taste to them, very different from Carl's Donuts and the original Randy's in Los Angeles. The staff was friendly and insightful, but the instant smell of industrial pinesol as we walked in took away from the appetizing smell of sweets and baked goods. I cannot get down with Randy's donuts. I always question myself when a place from the 50's that's as popular as Randy's doesn't do it for me. Grabbed a cruller one morning and took it on a road trip. Took a few other donuts as well for my family. The cruller isn't a cruller. A cruller standouts from other donuts because it isn't puffy or cakey, instead it's very airy from the unique interior. Not this cruller. It was so thick and heavy and covered in thick maple glaze that was so sweet I really couldn't eat anymore after just two small bites. As a side note I'm a sugar girlie so when something is too sweet for me I'm really not sure how anyone can enjoy it. First started coming to Randy's when I seen they had the plain cake donuts. Since a little girl I've loved them and many shops here in Vegas either don't make them, or don't make them properly! Randy's plain cake donut is exactly like I had them in California and doesn't have all the grease taste. I hadn't been in a while but I received a birthday reward and decided to go this morning to redeem it and grab a coffee. I went through the drive through and from the beginning to end I had terrible service I asked questions about the Maple sweet foam coffee as I've NEVER had coffee here and I was met with attitude and short answers (by Ren). Randy's is where people go for donuts who are uninterested in the latest TikTok trend and whatever decorative nonsense they're cramming on top of donuts elsewhere. You want a cinnamon roll as big as your hand? Done! A perfectly crumbly cake donut? No problem. Growing up in New York State, I have to say that Randy's is the closest I've found on the west coast to a traditional cake donut. If they made an apple cider version I'd be delighted. Having heard about this place a few different times, I decided to check it out today because I was having a donut craving. The location is super easy to get to right off of Rainbow, the store itself is super clean and well stocked with donuts. They have a vast selection of donuts from the regular ones that you would expect to some off the wall combinations. I decided to try a few, I got the cream filled chocolate long john, the churro, s'mores and, a croissant style donut with chocolate. The cream filled one was delicious. The cream was light and tasty and the donut itself was fluffy. The s'mores one was a great combination with the marshmallows, graham cracker and chocolate. The layers of the croissant one were flaky and crunchy and really good. These are the best donuts in town. They're a bit pricey but they are delicious. My favorite drink is the watermelon lemonade frozen. They don't have a large cups. That is my only issue. Some of the employees are rude but I look past the poor customer service because they really are the best donuts in town. read more

First tried these when I went to LA and they were AMAZING. When I found out they were coming here I was so excited. I consider myself a donut aficionado lol. I drive by the rainbow location and it is always dark, wasn't sure it was even opened. Ok one day I decide to pull in for myself and see. Yup they're open and the donuts are delicious. A little pricey for how small they are, but good nonetheless. The outside always has pigeons and littered with trash though. Now the reason for the low score is of how HORRIBLE the General Manager was to me. She said her name was REN. Here's the story: been going there 3-4 times a week for usually 2 donuts. So that's $1.90 X 2. Only 4 dollars, but 50% of the time I would leave a dollar tip (which is also what's wrong with this place, they are what's wrong with tipping culture in America). That's fine tho it's my choice even though you make me feel obligated by prompting me too. We all know how employees treat return customers who don't tip. So I come in one day and their card reader is not working. They're only accepting cash. Like no one carries cash anymore, especially with a lot of place going "card only". Ok luckily I had it that day for my breakfast. Two days later I come through and same thing! Except today I don't have any cash. Not that I don't have any money, I have cards, just no cash. I ask her if I can have a donut and I'll pay her tomorrow since the card reader isn't working. Wow, just wow, to this day cannot believe her response. Instead of giving the donut to a customer who regularly tips she says "you're feeling really entitled right now". Huh? Wtf? I explain I've been coming here 3-4 times a week. Her response "I see a hundred customers a day". I explain I also tip, not every time, but half the time. Her response "I don't get any of the tips" Wow, ok, wow. Complete story and truth. She personally doesn't like me? Idk? I do know that any normal business would have given the donut. Got paid for it the next day with a tip and GREAT REVIEW. Not to mention a customer for life. I bet if she were the owner I would've gotten treated much differently. She's not though. Someone else had to have the credit and money to get that place started. She doesn't care, she has no vested interest. Just go grab another job down the block, right? Cause Vegas is growing so fast you can do that, right? I was delighted that Randy's Donuts (on Rainbow) sells Sufganiyah for Chanukah. They were perfect -- pillowy, well-filled and really fresh. After visiting the Great American Foodie Festival, my partner and I decided to stop by Randy's Donuts for something sweet. It's been awhile since we last visited Randy's Donuts. This location is off of the 95/Rainbow exit. There is plenty of parking available. Randy's Donuts original shop is located in Inglewood California and was founded back in 1953. The shop became well-known specifically for the giant donut on top of the building. Supposedly, it's considered a landmark in L.A, which is pretty cool! I think it's also been featured in several movies and television shows. My partner and I picked up 6 donuts to-go. The team members were fantastic! We picked out the following donuts Glazed Cinnamon Crumble Texas Glazed Apple Fritter Maple Bacon Long John Red Velvet My partner ate the Texas Glazed, Apple Fritter, and Maple Bacon Long John. All of the donuts were light and fluffy. His favorite was the Maple Bacon Long John. The flavors blended well. The Apple Fritter was scrumptious too. It wasn't too sweet. I ate the glazed, red velvet, and the cinnamon crumble. The Cinnamon Crumble was like a cakey donut. It had a lot of cinnamon and powered sugar on the outside. It was super delicious! Very nice lady helped us. The donuts are really good the first day, ok the 2nd day and so on. The donut holes were MUCH bigger than I expected! Again great the first night and good in the morning but to keep them from getting gooey, I put them in the fridge, and that's when they lost their super yum. They were good. Pretty average. Tried Randy's for the first time ever. My coworker and I picked up an order to share at the office. We got there a bit earlier than our pick up time, but our doughnuts were ready for us. Our iced coffee just needed to be made which I appreciated that it was made once we got there. Again, I've never had Randy's before so I was stunned at how many different flavors and intricate pastries they had for a very affordable price. Our order of two dozen doughnuts were HEFTY and HEAVY and packaged very well! If we weren't already feasting in the office for a celebration, I could have sampled 10 of these doughnuts easily. Is writing a review after eating one donut fair?? I think not. But, I wanted to share my donut experience. It was 9pm or so on a Saturday. Went in with a group and got 1-2 donuts each, cuz it was after the ramen next door. The staff were so friendly and cute. Live their enthusiasm. I asked which one was best seller and they said the butter donut. It's got some type of butter cookie or crumb thing on it. And of course, also got the glaze, cuz that's the gold standard. Butter donut- 5/5. Was stale butt, I SEE YOU!!! Even at the stale status it was so good so I'm sure it's even better fresh. It was great flavor! Glazed- 1/5. It lacked the fluffiness and tasted very different from the Randy's in Cali. I remember their donut was different because it had a slight chewy texture that isn't common.
