I even received an email the day before asking me to confirm that we would be there, which I did. On top of that, I called the night before with questions about the menu. Although there is no direct phone line to The Wine Cellar, I was connected to a concierge who, while not fully familiar with every detail, took the time to review the website and menu with me. At no point was there any indication that the wine cellar would be closed. Everything showed as open, normal hours, reservations active. We arrived on time for our reservation and found the place completely closed. This was not a casual drop-in. It took effort to get this group together. We had friends in town visiting who Ubered to the location from The Strip, we drove in from North Summerlin, and others came from Henderson. We dressed up in holiday attire and planned this as a special night out leading into Christmas. It mattered to us. Instead, we were left standing there confused and disappointed, and ended up spending the rest of the evening sitting at another bar in the casino eating nachos. Not exactly the Napa-inspired wine experience we were excited about. If a business is closed, it should not be accepting online reservations, sending confirmation emails, or asking guests to reconfirm their attendance. Employees and concierge staff should be aware of closures. And if something truly unexpected happened, a facility issue or last-minute closure, then someone should be contacting guests with confirmed reservations. That would not have been difficult. We relocated to Las Vegas from Northern California years ago and were genuinely excited to visit a Napa inspired Wine Cellar because we miss that wine culture and wanted to share it with friends. As locals, it is incredibly disappointing to see a business handled this way. I want to support places where I live, but this experience left us frustrated and upset.
