I've been debating leaving this review but I cannot stop thinking about what I experienced with pink dog. First of all I called the morning of my appointment to get reminded of what time my appointment was and they didn't have my appointment in the book. They told me that they could squeeze me in anyway.. so I went in and rang the bell. there was nobody at the front desk, So I waited for a few minutes. I could hear a dog in the back barking. It sounded like a large dog. the dog was barking the entire time I had been in the building. After about five minutes I heard a lady yell at the dog "THATS ENOUGH STOP BARKING" and then heard her slap him. So before I could even speak to anyone I got out of there as fast as I could. I just haven't been able to shake the feeling in my gut that I should share this. And I am NOT someone to write reviews, especially negative ones!! read more

PinkDog did an awesome job with my Havanese's first full grooming-- Chevy was nervous when we dropped him off, but he was totally comfortable by the time we came back to pick him up. I brought a picture for Chevy's haircut "inspiration" (which wasn't even a picture of the same breed) and they took the time to explain to us what would/wouldn't be feasible based on Chevy's shape. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! My dog went there for the first time today to be groomed. He was shaved down to the skin even though that is the one thing I asked not to happen. He received the WORST grooming ever! Besides the unevenness, he got cut NUMEROUS times which left incisions that we are now treating to avoid infection. This place appeared to be more of an assembly line rather than a caring place for animals. I cannot urge you enough to stay away from this place. I have never written a review on a business previously, but I do not want another family to experience what we did with our puppy today. read more

Update: they forget what kind of cut we wanted for our dog and they don't even know what I signed up for even though I made my appt online. At pick up, they ask you to pay while they get my dog. So don't pay or tip them until you look at your dog to be sure if they did it correctly. Since this happened to me and they told me to bring my dog back in two days to get it done the way I like. Their service has much to be improved. With all that, they don't complain about my dog and once they do get the cut right sometimes. If you can add notes to your account if you can. I'm not taking my dog here again! We've taken our poodle to the Boxborough location three times and genuinely tried to give it a shot. Each time they don't remember her cut, and they do a good job, but they don't care about dogs, and they are VERY disorganized. We booked our appointment yesterday with Nancy the owner who did not cut her...very strange. Not only that, but I showed up at 9 (my appointment time) and there were two other people waiting with a 9 appointment time. They essentially take a few dogs at the same time, and it takes them sometimes 5+ hours to finish your dog. At our old place, they knew her name, her cut and were excited to see her. They were personable. They gave her treats, and made her feel comfortable. She comes back from PinkDog a bit on edge. At our old place, she was happy when she came home. At PinkDog, there is none of that. I want my dog groomed at a place where they genuinely care about dogs, not some place where it feels transactional, and so disorganized. We won't be taking our dog back here. Be warned. read more

I really appreciated how well Carina listened to what I wanted (and then, clearly, how well she explained to Marjorie, who groomed Eli...it doesn't always happen like that). Our groomer moved, so we were looking for somewhere that wouldn't cost a fortune and would give Darth lots of attention and patience. PinkDog was perfect. Darth was nervous when we arrived. They took lots of time with Darth. Originally said pickup would be in about 3 hours, but they called and said due to his nerves, they were letting him play a while and then groom a little, so he'd be ready for pickup about 2pm (5 hours from drop off). I thanked them for letting me know. They claim to be a cageless salon, and when I arrived Darth was in a space playing and having a ball with a few other dogs. I'm very pleased with PinkDog. Oh and the price, $35 for a regular grooming, we did add a flea and tick bath on for an additional $20. I would recommend PinkDog to my friends. read more

Appointment today 5/15/2021, at 10:30, picking up in 2 hours, calling at 12:40 asking the status, the response is you can pick him in in 1,5 hours, it is humid inside and the dogs are not drying fast enough. So the whole appt is about 4 hours. unacceptable, at least they could call you and say that it is not going to be 2 hours. picked my dog up without hair cut will never come to Pink Dog again. read more

It seemed to be love at first sight between Hamish and his wonderful groomer, Patricia. They are reasonably priced, very attentive to the specific needs of his breed and shower him with affection. Fantastic!! I took my large 80 pound dog here for a first time grooming. When I brought her in she was shaking but they took fantastic care of her. She smelled amazing, she looked beautiful, and the groomer even showed me pictures of her getting groomed. I was so nervous to leave her there for a few hours to get groomed but I feel completely comfortable bringing her there again. Thank you ladies! read more

I live close by and have seen many beautifully groomed dogs leaving this groomer. I finally made an appointment for my doodle online, which was really easy to use and convenient. Sadly I would not recommend using this groomer for a doodle. My fluffy girl had a big clump of hair cut out the top of her head which left a big creator in her head. Her ears were also not plucked and the hair around her pee area was not cut. She smells good and is clean but this is not what I would expect for $85. read more

A friend recommended this place and I was excited to try their service. Effectively they were just amazing, did exactly what I asked and my dog's grooming was gorgeous. The reason of this note is my experience 3 weeks after. Started at the front desk with the girl been not nice, I was explaining her that I wanted to keep the same style, and her face was just like she didn't care one word what I was telling. She even didn't try to see some file because didn't know my dog, didn't care at all what I was telling her. Consequences? My dog left the place just so ugly that I could not understand what happened. They changed the style completely!!! Many flaws in the whole body, different hair length on her eyebrows , the length of ears different. Just can not explain how ugly she looks right now. And I can not understand how can the dog enter pretty and leave so ugly. What was done I could do at home literally. Extremely disappointed. We had heard good things from our vet and decided to make an appt. as we are new to the Concord area. I know we are just coming off a Pandemic but I called Tuesday and was put on a waiting list. Awesome, no problem. They're supposed to be good so we had no issue waiting a bit. I called Wed. just to ask again and make sure she had me on the waiting list bc, I like so many others, am anxious to get him in after almost 3 months of being a full on furball. No problem, she said, knew my name and my dogs and said someone JUST called and can't come in Saturday. Can you be there 9:30-945AM? I was overcome with joy. Of course I could be there! 9:30AM we are standing outside her door, masks on, dog in tow. We are on no list. Not us. Not the dog. No one has any recollection on speaking to me either time but, awesome!!! They will still take him! They don't seem very happy, pretty exasperated with their own scheduling mishap but I was still pretty thrilled. Four hours later- we get a call he is ready! Great. My significant other heads on over, to pick up a dog who we have never heard or been told has barked at the groomer. But he's barking his head off. Okay, no problem. He pays, adds a 25% tip, and they come out with our dog, say "here" and shove him in my significant others arms. Uh...okay. Sure. I guess we all get a little over worked and unfriendly... Come home and take a good look, our Shih Tzu is uneven all over his body and with his lion cut, I asked to leave his feet, which were shaved. His feet had no matts, so I'm confused, but I'm assuming it just more inattentiveness and lack of details or care. I really wanted to love this place, really really, as he gets groomed every two weeks in regular (non pandemic furball) circumstances and we were looking for someone. We are disappointed in the scheduling and our treatment, and the lopsided, jagged and uneven haircut our boy got. On top of all that, he has a cut where his ear meets his head! There has been twice that I made an appt and I get there and they do not have my appt booked. I had to show my email that I have a confirmation. I get a sigh and they will "fit my dog in". The last time I went, they wrote down a different dogs name when I brought my dog in. They never called me when my dog was done. When I followed up 5 hrs later they kept telling me they did not have my dog and I probably dropped her off somewhere else. After going back and forth for 20 mins, I went there to go find my dog. When I got there they told me that they wrote another dogs name down for mine and that they had not started my dog and there was a mistake when I called earlier. They essentially lost my dog and didn't have the records to prove that I even dropped her off. They have absolutely no checks and balances when dropping off or picking up your dog. I would give them a negative star if they have an option. Horrible experience. Dog's owners be aware! I have brought my 8 months old super friendly pup for the INTRODUCTION appointment only for the new dogs in a hope to let my dog to know this place ( Acton location) during safe and supervised short period of time there. I left him for 30 min, when I came back my dog was howling and whining behind the door. He had 6 bite wounds on his face, leaving blood marks everywhere in their office . Employee said that my dog was in fight with another dog and this another dog is in even worse state ( that was a lie - I made a picture of another dog - not even a scratch! My dog does not attack or bite even back to aggressor). I started to ask questions about what is another dog here for? why you exposed my dog to this dog? I did not schedule a play date. Why you did not watch the dogs properly? if they would really watch them, 6 (!) bite marks would not be there. Why you did not call me right away? I wanted to talk to other dog's owner or see vaccination papers - they refused to give this information to me. I requested to call police. I'll be in touch with dog officer. I'll request the camera footage. My dog's nostril was reaped, he got 5 stitches and 10 days mandatory quarantine because I could not provide the information about other dog's owners /veterinarian phone number or vaccination proof in emergency room. PinkDog agreed to cover the emergency visit but nothing else. read more
