Yes, he did have a few mats, but no one has complained that was an issue in the 7 years I've been taking my dog there. I don't think she wanted to groom my dog, he has long hair and takes a while to dry. Since I was 13 minutes late, and she had us wait another 5 minutes, that was enough time for her to cancel. They seemed nice enough but he would shake all over and try to run away when I tried to take him into the grooming section of the store. He normally is a very mild mannered dog who gives me no issues and never tries to run from me. After the last trip, I decided I couldn't do that to him anymore and in looking for another groomers, I decided to try Paws Awhile. I am so happy I did! I told the owner, Leanne about my issues with him at the other groomers and she was so gentle and talked with him and gave him extra attention. When I went to pick him up, besides being wonderfully groomed, he was very happy with his tail up and wagging and wiggling all over with happiness. I was thrilled! He is a long haired sheltie and needs to be groomed every 4-6 weeks to maintain his fur properly. I dreaded the trip to the groomers before and now he and I happily go to his appointment. Having him cleaned and groomed properly is very importantly obviously, but having him not be traumatized by the experience and be happy is more important to me. If you are also having this issue with your pet, I highly recommend trying Paws Awhile! We're so happy we found them!

Arrived next day of grooming - they would not groom our pups as they were over 10 yrs! I was concerned that our dog might give them difficulty as he can be aloof with strangers, but he LOVED the sitter and she was great with him. Our cats loved her as well! KT's went above and beyond with photo updates of our pets. We came home to a happy, healthy crew. Everyone knows how much I'm obsessed with my dog and how much I care for her! I'm not one to…read morecomplain very often about a business... but this one set me over the edge. Most people know doodles are very hard to care for their hair. I absolutely do my best to care for her. Yes, she was matted, and I was okay with shaving her for the summer and keeping her comfortable. Me and my husband dropped her off, and my husband picked her up because I could not. It cost us 200$!! I know my husband paid the bill he didn't know what to do since I wasn't there to back him up on it. Yes, my doodle was matted, and I was aware, and she needed shaved down. They charge way too much for services they charged 50$ for matting, which she was shaved completely down, so they didn't demat her. She is a 25lb mini golden doodle. Her face is all chopped up uneven cut. Her ears are dirty they were never cleaned, and nails are sharp and not buffered, which was included in the service. Also has razor/clipper burns. I left a review on facebook explaining my opinion and experience. The owner, Danielle, blocked me from the Facebook page, After she came up with every excuse in the book for each complaint I had. She also didn't groom my dog. Our groomer stated my dog did great during the grooming, and Daniemle said she didn't and has video footage, which she will not show me. All I asked was for a refund, and I would be gone. She said no refunds, which is nowhere stated on the website or forms. They offered to fix her, but I refused to go back after they botched her. They also removed my review from google. I also posted a photo of Leela previously groomed at another groomer that was done correctly!
