My Maltese looked and smelled great after her appointment. I was also able to get on their schedule within a few days of calling.

They treat him so well, he loves them! Everyday when I bring him in his tail starts to wag as I check him in and he see's the manager. I swear he loves them as much as he loves us. They do fun photos monthly and even celebrate his birthday. We've even started to use their dog hotel when we go on vacation. He always comes home tired from all the playing he gets done there. I would suggest this doggie daycare/hotel to anyone in the area. That's how we started going by coworker who had a great experience as well and suggested I take Max. We also did two courses of dog training with an associate named Julia. She ran really great classes and had so much patience with all owners and puppies.

By now you have likely guessed that today I got the latter. After closely searching the aisles for the item I needed, I rolled the dice and asked a cashier for help. Me : " where can I find a poop bag holder that..." Gen Z employee: *cuts me off mid sentence* " in the toy aisle." Me: " which toy aisle? there are more than one." Gen Z " the one over there" *gestures vaguely* Me: " I looked, so where exactly in the aisle is it?" Gen Z: *frustrated look* " OK I'll just show you." I follow Gen Z to location and she gestures to an area with I have searched already since there are similar items there. I ask her where exactly and she points to everything and says "all of these," clearly having zero clue what I was looking for since she stopped listening before hearing what I needed. I say I looked already and it's not here. Gen Z : "Then we don't have it" and walks away in a snit. She stole my snit! She wasted my time, gave me attitude and may as well have flipped me the bird to top it off. So I was irked. So, dear Yelpers, I came here to have my snit. Many thanks for indulging me. Now I'm over it. Have a lovely day.

Our two courses this winter were conducted via Zoom and were extremely effective. The next course, this spring, will be in person! The training from Proper Paws has been instrumental in helping our Puerto Rican rescue dog settle into our household. Judy has given us the tools we need to prevent or react effectively to behaviors such as begging at the table, pulling on leash, jumping/nipping, lunging to greet other dogs, etc. While these are all normal dog behaviors, Proper Paws has helped us guide our pup toward more desirable behaviors and we see a real difference. More importantly, we work on crucial safety behaviors such as "stay" and "down" that can make all the difference in a dangerous situation. All of the training is through positive reinforcement. We learn not to expect perfection but, rather, to appreciate progress. I highly recommend Judy and her program for anyone looking to solidify the bond with their dog and teach both humans and dogs in the household to interact positively and be safe in all variety of situations. Highly recommend!

She has rolling admission, lots of options for classes, and takes a wholly positive approach to training dogs. We have followed her recommendations and now that we are approaching week six, our puppy is actually pretty well behaved! She's not perfect, but I am aware of what I need to work on to change that (thanks to Judy), and I know it is within my power to change the behavior that I don't like by using the positive methods she teaches. She also offers a free socialization class for puppies younger than 18 weeks old. This is basically a class where you watch a bunch of adorable puppies play with each other and learn what is okay in terms of play behavior, what is not, and how to guide your dog toward a positive play experience. It is my favorite hour of the week because they are SO SO CUTE. I don't have photos from the formal class, but it is held in the same space. The pictures are all from socialization class. Highly recommend!

Not recommended if you are looking for professional one…read more We reached out to Jennifer because we wanted to get our adopted dog the private training sessions before bringing him into the canine group classes(which he did really well and graduated becoming loved by the trainer), our dog was really nervous around Jennifer from the start. However we decided to go forward anyway because he did calm down since the second session but never really warm up to her much. With three training sessions in, we decided to try the "Walk and train", not just "House/Drop-in visit" sessions which is went very poorly right from the start. Our dog is a food motivated dog. Under the circumstances, She poorly decided to give him the high fat and sodium food like pepperoni instead of dog treats, left the harness on, accidentally forgot to turn the fan and AC back on after she turned them off(I couldn't figure it out through the dog camera why did our puppy was pacing around instead of laying down on the floor in the hot day, until I got home), then leaving our dog in the hot house(some friends of mine suggested that we should report it to the town..). She reached out to re-visit on the next day without us scheduling any sessions, and ended up charging us for it. Another session on the third day in a row was strangely done, instead of "walk and train" she let our dog working on Sniffing mat in our backyard and herself being on the phone most of the time. We had other people come over and being with him before and all went really well, we don't understand why this happened between them. We reached out to her to discuss about it, and asking for the genuine refund for the rest of the services we do not want to go forward, it took her over two days getting back to us blaming it on us not going forward and giving her more times to build up the relationship with the dog. We hit her back trying to clarify the situation but unfortunately she got back with the short responses, "I wish you the best. Thank you, Jennifer", didn't even showing any remorse for anything she had done. Two stars for the theoretical training skills, Good luck!

Our consult was with Nance, and she was very patient in explaining the process and talking us through some initial things that we were struggling with. Then, we started with a training package that included 3 private training classes and 2 months of group obedience classes. We also went to a few puppy kindergarten classes. Nicole did the majority of our trainings and she has been a god-sent. She is very good with the dogs, and her energy level makes the training classes fun both for us and our dog. We learned a lot from Nicole and she helped us to feel a lot less stressed out and actually enjoy the puppyhood. The obedience class is set up like a monthly subscription, where you can go to as many classes as you want. We end up going about 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes, as it is a great activity to mentally exercise our dog and provide socialization while working alongside other dogs. We also started bringing our dog to their dog day camp 2x a week. Tim was also very patient in explaining the process. The dog day camp has been great in getting her to play with other dogs and allows her to learn obedience from others aside from us.
