Delicious! This is pretty close to my Platonic ideal of pizza: big slices with enough inner crust stability not to flop over, chewy outer crust, a good amount of cheese, and (per the menu) "thick sliced extra large" pepperoni with hearty flavor. A full pie fed two of us and gave us a lot of leftovers for a second meal. We started with the focaccia served with whipped ricotta, and I'm glad we did because there was a bit of a wait for the pizza -- can't rush perfection! -- and my stomach was getting grumbly watching everyone else dive into their slices. I'd recommend ordering a starter or maybe calling ahead to place an order if you're worried about the wait. Thankfully, they've got a really extensive drinks menu (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to keep you occupied. I was especially excited to see several flavors of Austin East Ciders. The space is really cute, and there are several large picnic tables outside on the patio. Looking forward to coming back and trying the garlic knots, Porcetta pie, and cheesecake. read more

My wife & I were looking for something for lunch. We were intending to make a u-turn when I spotted this pink building called Pinky Ring Pizza. So glad I did. We ordered a pepperoni, mushroom and sausage pizza. It took about 25 minutes to prepare and was well worth the wait. The crust was a nice foldable pizza slice with an amazing sauce. Big slices of pepperoni and chunks of sausage. This was easily one of the best pizzas we have ever had. Totally found by luck. We heard about a pickle pizza and I have been on a pickle kick lately. My partner and I came here to try their Pickle Pizza pie and it was EVERYTHING I wanted. We also got the garlic bread, it was thick sourdough and absolutely drenched in garlic butter (yummmm) and served with fresh grated cheese and basil on top. Everyone was friendly, the inside counter was clean and well stocked with parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasonings. This is my neighborhood pizza spot. Mostly slide in for slices. Staff is the best. I love them all. Pizza is in the top pizza spots in Nashville. I know pizza is very personal to many people and everyone has such a vast array of what they "believe" is the best. This (to me) is closely comparable to NY style (my favorite). They have many pies that have crazy ingredients and if that's your thing this place has got to be the most creative when producing "themed" pies... but for myself I just stick to the "gold medal slice" the cheese. Sourdough pizza! The patience this takes and also the ability to crank out pizzas at a high temp so they get out for everyone to enjoy is a labor of love and I appreciate it. I love that it's legit set up like a pop-in pizza joint. While the wait for a pie took a bit, it's great to see a new business thriving. Great beer selection, pizza by the slice, appetizers and salads as well. There's also decent amount of picnic tables to eat outside also and a stand up bar along the window to eat your slices. We'll be back but damn, the price of pizza have sure come a long way from what you grew up with. O_O read more

Visit Nashville to see my son and this place has been on my short list for quite some time and it didn't disappoint. This Madison hot spot has earned a top five spot in my favorite pizza restaurants, and quite possibly my favorite. The crust and sauce are undoubtedly the stars of the show, but the ingredients aren't lacking either. The oven does a perfect job of kissing the crust with the perfect amount of char without the char overpowering the bite. The ingredients play the supporting role perfectly without being loaded, but rather perfectly distributed and amazing quality. We had the supreme pizza and split between 5 people, 2 guys and 3 gals, perfect amount of to be full without stuffed. Sodas are in a can, would have liked a cup of ice to go with it, but didn't ask. Restaurant is minimal with only a few stools inside and majority of seats, picnic tables, outside. The hot summer sun didn't help the experience as it was very warm, so if i had one negative, I would prefer to sit inside. If simply judging the pizza it's absolutely perfect! read more

We met the owner, Don, very nice and welcoming man as well of the rest of the staff. A really clean and cozy inside and lots of outdoor space available as well. read more

Love the pizza! Great place to sit and enjoy outside. Staff is friendly. Watch out for the "Lunch Special," sounds like you are getting a "free" with 2 slices and save some money; but you are really just paying for a drink at normal prices. Not being able to order slices in advance causes me to wait every single time. I call and I'm told 30 seconds for any slices. Every time I come, I wait 15-20 minutes for new pizzas to be made for slices. read more

Yummmmmmmm! Was a perfect day to grab a slice and sit on the patio! Toddler and I just finished having a blast at the library and love how close pinky ring is to stop by for an extra yummy lunch! I've been excited to try the pizza for a while, but honestly I've been more excited for this seasonal veggie caprese! It was excellent! Such delicious fresh mozzarella and zippy squash. Got one with extra cheese with sausage and bacon. Also the Bibb salad. Both were really good. Got some extra sauce for the crust and bingo much better experience. I almost always give places another try especially when they are new. Unless they are just really bad,. That was never the case here. I recommend the extra cheese. read more

The server recommended the mac and cheese and it was good but felt like a ready made. The chicken sandwich again it was fine super thin chicken with limited toppings. I with this we got the broccoli salad it was yummy. Since it was my birthday we got a brownie...the parts that weren't rock hard were tasty.

My family and I have been Mug Club members for over three years across four different locations, and we've visited every TailGate taproom except one. This opinion isn't based on one bad experience, it's a pattern we've seen across the company. As Mug Club members, we've watched the value of the program decline. They advertise 20 oz pours, yet the pours often seem noticeably short. Members were invited to a Mug Club appreciation party that advertised free beer, pizza, and a free t-shirt, only to find the free beer was limited and the "free" shirts cost $20+. On an earlier visit this year, happy hour for mug clubbers was still being advertised until 5pm, but after ordering four more beers we were told happy hour had actually been changed to end at 4 p.m. instead of 5 p.m. without any formal notice, communication to mug clubbers, nothing. We weren't informed until after we were charged full price for not 1, not 2, but 4 beers. Taken together, these experiences leave customers feeling misled rather than appreciated. The most disappointing part is the attitude toward loyal customers. Hearing "you'll be back because you're Mug Clubbers" says a lot about how ownership views the people who have supported the business for years. Loyalty feels expected rather than valued. I also have concerns about how employees are treated. TailGate advertises health insurance, yet many non-management employees reportedly aren't scheduled enough hours to qualify for those benefits. It appears that Wes (the owner) is more focused on controlling criticism and the overall narrative of the company than addressing the issues that generate it, leaving employees/managers to deal with the fallout. TailGate built its reputation on great beer, great staff, and a loyal customer base. The employees continue to deliver on that. Unfortunately, ownership's bait-and-switch approach and apparent disconnect from both customers and staff are hurting a brand that many of us genuinely want to support.

If you're hungry, there is a food truck serving burgers in the lot as well. We didn't try that but other patrons told us that the burgers were very good. It's a great place to spend some time. I'd recommend it!
