Having lived in Plainfield since 2003, this is our fourth dentist. This practice is very attentive, communication is excellent. Even with Covid-19, the office made our family comfortable and each had an excellent experience. Our family of five agree this is the dental office we have been searching for. CONSUMERS BEWARE. My wife and I were in search of a new dentist, and as much as we hoped, this is not the place for us. Once I sat in the seat, I informed them not to perform any service that wouldn't be covered by my insurance. I asked if they had any questions, not sure if they needed to clarify anything based on my insurance. "No" was the answer. About a month later I get a bill for $82. Yep you guessed it, things not covered by insurance. It's a businesses job to know, the majority of their income is based on insurance companies payments. So either they don't care, or they aren't experts. Either way, after ignoring my requests. I called in to move my appointment and was treated rudely on the phone, I said I needed to reschedule, but wanted to address my billing in person. She said I in response that she was sending me to collections. After blatantly ignoring my request, then billing me, and now instantly threaten collections rather than wait a few days to discuss this in person? What a poor way to treat a customer. After a brief call to my wife, she called them(maybe 5 minutes later) to just pay the bill, and cancel her appointment. She was put on hold for an extended period of time, and the other receptionist wouldn't take her payment. She finally talks to the woman I talked to, and made the payment. The following day I get a collection notice. The dentist seemed like a nice guy, so this isn't a lack of technical performance, but the customer service by his staff is inexcusable, and unforgivable. read more

Our family has been using Pinnacle Dental for past few years. Folks there really makes our visits quite enjoyable. Dr. Lena is very friendly and professional, and communicates well with us and ensures that her patients are comfortable. Hygienists are thorough with their work. Office staff are friendly and helps manage schedule changes. Office has plenty of parking, convenient to get to, and clean inside. We love the friendliness of their entire staff, kids come home with small trinkets from their visits, instead of lollipop that are way too common. After having the same dentist for my entire life, I decided I needed to find someone a little closer to my location. I asked around at work and chose Pinnacle Dental from the recommendations because I was told they would take my insurance and that the lady recommending them had children who *wanted* to go to this dentist!? That boggled my mind. Really, I have been pleased overall. 99% of the staff that I have ever worked with over the past few years has been helpful, gentle, accomodating and the one percent that rubbed me the wrong way, were probably still trying to do their best job. My latest visit reassured me of this...so I'll be back. The location is easy to find, clean and bright. While I am not sure I'll ever be keen on going to the dentist, I would highly recommend Pinnacle...I like having clean teeth!! :) They do offer services and new technology that I wouldn't have been able to find before. And their hours have been flexible and easy to fit into my schedule. read more

I just started going to this place about a year and a half ago. LOVE it!! I went to another place at first downtown and they ripped me off horribly. Pinnacle doesn't take advantage of you and they tell you the honest truth. Dr. Otto is awesome and he is so nice. I am shocked at how gentle he is and he explains everything he does so there are no surprises. Highly recommended! read more

The one star I am giving is for the dentists. The dentists know what they are doing and are good at their jobs. So nothing against the technical knowledge of the dentists. The customer service of the support staff is very poor. I do believe the dentists should direct their front desk and billing clerks as to how to treat people with respect. The billing clerk should be taught how to do a better job at estimating what is and is not covered by insurance. To sum it up, great dentists but rude and unprofessional support staff. Too many headaches when dealing with billing due to inaccurate estimates. read more

After recently moving to the area, I'm thankful to have a great dentist that makes me comfortable and keeps me fully informed about any needed procedures. I have been going to Pinnacle Dental since I was around 16yrs old...i am currently 29. At first when it was the 3 of them it was fantastic. I had always seen the same hygienist and felt comfortable and everything always went by smoothly. Once Dr. Lena's brother left the office things went downhill fast. You can make an appointment but for the most part you will be waiting 30mins or more to get in. The hygienist I currently had left as well and it seemed like a lot of them left. I have also noticed there seems to be some sort of incentive if you would like to call it that with getting patients to receive certain procedures. I was told and a friend was told that they needed "deep cleaning" which is about a 200 dollar out of pocket expense, in which they just automatically put you down for instead of asking if you would like the procedure or not. I have also run into A MILLION BILLING issues with this office. I had a cleaning done and the total came out to 86 dollars. I asked why all of a sudden the total would be 86 when before I had either a 25 dollar deductible or it was covered. I was told it was run through the insurance and I had to pay it. I then called my dental insurance and was told that Pinnacle had not submitted anything to them in over a YEAR!!!!! I had them resubmit everything and had to remind their office multiple times to send me money back that they owed me. This place went from a great office with great dentists who seemed to actually care about their patients to just money hungry people trying to make a buck. I have currently switched over to Grand Dental in Channahon and am beyond more pleased with the service. I was taken in right away and shocker was told my teeth look great and no deep cleaning needed. Watch out for this place! read more

I've been a dental patient at the Pinnacle Dental Group for over two years and I have to admit I've never been more pleased with the services rendered. The entire staff is very pleasant and welcoming, a great group of young ladies. Dr. L. Qawash is very professional and really take time to explain each and every procedure, she's so very caring and have even phoned me after hours to check on me after a procedure. She has done an excellent job performing my dental procedures and I highly recommend her as I'd recommended others and will continue to do so. read more

BE LEERY! Pinnacle Dental receives an F in the area of customer service: a Dr. and a front office staff member do not have the authority to decide for customers what form of payment to use or hang up on them due to incompetencies with simple transactions is sophomoric conduct. There is no need to play defense amongst paying customers when it is clear there is a management issue from top to bottom. Educate yourself and reconsider your business strategy. Hire, train, and expect all staff members to be committed to customer service plus treatment excellence from the minute a patient walks in until they leave their appointment. The actions plus behavior exuded are inexcusable demonstrating a lack of credibility, professionalism, and self respect. read more

Absolutely do not trust this dentist for premium aftercare services. I had a deep cleaning conducted and was not provided the proper mouth rinse to help reduce the chances of infection and sores - chlorhexidine. About four days after the procedure my mouth broke out in sores on the right side and tongue swelled up. I used salt water rinse to help alleviate the problem but it was not clearing up very fast. I called the office and left a detailed message about my situation and I needed someone to call back. The hygienist called and told me to continue with the salt rinse. I told her fine, but my mouth is in extreme pain and I needed something to help heal these other than a salt rinse (suggesting they need to provide a prescription rinse appropriate to help with the situation.). They ordered me some paste that creates a barrier on the sore...that is it. No concern to see me to make sure there is not a serious infection or problem...just go rinse and put some of this on. The sores cleared up after about 12 days of salt rinse, mouth wash, etc., but my tongue still remained slightly numb on the tip. A week and a half later my mouth breaks out again, but this time it was extremely aggressive and took over my upper and lower gums, under my tongue, the tip to middle of tongue and even started breaking out in sores in my throat! Since the office showed no concern with my situation the first time I called I decided to see my practitioner. They immediately prescribed a mouth rinse to help the situation. I called into the dentist office for answers on why I was not provided an appropriate after care mouth rinse to help reduce infection or fungal outbreak (which are all typical occurrences that can emerge with stressful procedures in the mouth), plus I wanted to know why they did not show concern or wanted to see me upon learning my original outbreak. The buck was passed back onto me - because I had listed in my medical records with them that I've had sores in the past it was clearly something I should have expected....I explained to them that every person in the world, at some time in their life, has a sore in their mouth...period. So when you ask a medical history question like that I'm sure every single patient you have has answered yes...not a reason to neglect my care. Then I was told they don't recommend people to come in with a sore after a procedure. I had to repeat MULTIPLE TIMES that it wasn't just a little sore. I wouldn't call in for a little sore - IT WAS MY WHOLE MOUTH!!! I expressed that they didn't show concern and say "why don't you come in so we can make sure you are ok" - nothing. The whole conversation was treated very rudely. I was at fault. I had a canker sore before in my 40 years of existence (heaven forbid...), there for I'm not someone they need to see to help out. Do not go here. They will not service you to the fullest. Expect attitude when you call in for answers concerning why they did or did not do something. Expect to be treated poorly and made feel like the pain and suffering you are going through is your fault and deal with it....we did nothing wrong. Horrible service. Horrible experience. I highly suggest you stay far away from this practice (loosely used term in this case.) read more

I have been going here for years, I had mad an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. They had told me I had beginning stages of gum disease and that it had ate away some on my bone under my 2 teeth, so the did not clean them and told me I needed to come back get my gums lazered clean- and it's going to cost me $336 i got a second opinion from another dentist who was a periodontist (gum doctor) and said my gums and tether are perfectly fine, if they tell you that you need th laser treatment get a second opinion I saved myself a lot of money... Needless to say I will not be back there. read more
