I have been going to Anew for many years and have brought my daughter in for cleaning as well. I am highly disappointed with my care today. I had lost a filling and needed that fixed. The dentist was on vacation so Dr Joe was on duty. He replaced my filling and found another cavity in which he filled. I come home and later felt that the new cavity filling was not filled! And once the novocaine worn off, I saw that inside of my lip was scratched up and red from the visit. Do not go! I will be finding a new dental provider for my family read more

I have HAD IT with this place!!!! Our family of 4 has gone here for dental services for the past 9 years. The quality of EVERYONE there has gone so downhill I refuse to go back! First the office staff...we have had numerous billing issues that they don't care about or attempt to fix, just an "oh well your problem" attitude. Next the hygienists... we used to get thorough cleanings, they would polish and remove stains ect. Would spend about an hour doing a thorough job. Not anymore! People (dentists AND hygienists) seem to rotate in and out of there like hotcakes. The new ones are terrible, you're done in 10 minutes! Telling you they can't do what you know they can because the previous ones did! No stain removal, no polishing...just floss and see ya later! And last the dentists... you just get whatever random one they have in that day rather than a relationship with one specific doctor. All the old doctors are gone, replaced with new ones. We have had MULTIPLE dental works gone bad, and then they make YOU pay to fix them after THEY messed them up in the first place. Somehow any dental work or shots they give always hurt, when they never hurt with our previous dentist (that we had to leave because we moved). Today was the last straw. My 17 year old daughter needed fillings on both the left & right side, today she was scheduled for the right side. The "nurse" or whoever it is, was "new" and she put the numbing gel all over her LEFT side. The "dentist" came in and saw that she was supposed to get her fillings on the RIGHT side today and said oh well, we'll just shoot you with this Novacaine anyway with no numbing gel first! Since she needed fillings on both sides, you would think the doctor would've just done the numbed side today since it was already numbed, or put numbing gel on the correct side before stabbing a needle into her... NOPE! When I called spitting bullets mad, they blamed the KID! "Oh the doctor doesn't do gel for upper teeth (funny, I've always had it for ANY teeth and this is a kid!). So.... This place has gone totally downhill for the past YEARS!!! We've continued to go there because we were already established there, but today was the last straw! I will be filling a complaint with the state dental board! We have had enough and will find A NEW dentist!!! read more

The hygienist showed no care when treating me for the 1st time. When I jerked from a poke her response was oh you're sensitive, instead of saying are you ok. She was condescending the whole time I was there. The Dr and X-ray person were fine but the hygienist was rude. I canceled my treatment plan and requested my X-rays. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Where to begin? I had my first appointment at 3:30pm for a loose tooth that was hanging by a thread, wasn't sat in the chair until 4:15pm. As I sat there I explained my extreme fear of being at the dentist and severe anxiety to the dental assistant, who was incredibly nice and understanding. She reassured me she'd let the doctor know so that they'd be more sensitive to my anxiety about being there. They took x-rays and I waited anxiously...the doctor finally comes to see me (doesn't introduce himself or say hi to me), looks at my x-rays, and tells me I need a root canal and tooth extraction. Then he points at the time on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen in front of me and says, "you see the time? (It's 4:55pm at this point) We need to reschedule because I can't do that right now." I was then seen by another dental assistant who took off the paper from my chest and sent me to the desk to schedule another appointment. I walked out of there with my tooth on the verge of falling and was told to come back another day and they advised it'll just fall off at home. Against my better judgement I made a follow-up appointment for the root canal which was only available 3 weeks later, I believe in second chances, but was beyond disgusted the next time. I went on a Saturday and explained to them my bad experience the first time, which they apologized for, and they had no clue I was there for a root canal. They were under the impression I was there for a tooth extraction, which had already fallen the same day I went the first time 3 weeks prior. They then take MORE X-rays to determine what they already knew, which was I needed a root canal and was told I'd need to reschedule as that doctor doesn't do root canals. They proceed to take off the chest sheet and tell me to go to the desk to reschedule. At this point I am livid and asked them to at least give me a teeth cleaning, which they did half-assed. Anyone with anxiety issues or fear of the dentist DO NOT GO HERE! All they did was waste my time, take x-rays just to charge my insurance, and did nothing but a teeth cleaning which I had to ask for. I got lucky and was able to be seen the exact same day that I called to try to schedule an appointment for cleaning. Staff was very friendly upon arrival and I barely had to wait at all before going back to the examination area. My dental hygienist was very professional, kind and explained everything perfectly and answered my questions. Only downside was feeling like I didn't have much time to ask the dentist questions, but I suppose he was very busy during the time I was there. Overall it was a good experience! read more

I have been trying to make appointments for my family at Anew since February without any luck! Every time I call they never have any openings first thing in the morning, later in the day or on Saturdays. As a working parent with a child who already misses school for other medical/surgical appointments, we can't be taking more days off for dental appointments too! I am beyond exasperated with this and now have to change my dental insurance (I currently have an affordable HMO) just to have access to other practices that are more accommodating. Stay Away! I have never left a review on anything before but the horrible experience I've had with this "dentist" drove me to warn others, and clearly I am not the only one that feels this way about them (read all of the other reviews) Also, 1 star because there is not an option for zero stars. 1st Appt - Sat in the waiting room for 45+ minutes. I was finally brought back to a different room and I sat in that room for another 45+ minutes before I was seen by a dentist. I finally had the scheduled work done which was done hastily and poorly. During checkout I received an "invoice" which only stated the total dollar amount of the work done, but not an itemized breakdown of what was done and the associated costs (basically what you expect when having any service done). I really didn't twice about it at that time, but I should have. A month later I received another invoice with random charges that they claimed weren't covered by insurance. After reading other reviews it appears that this is not an uncommon thing for them to do. There should't have been a second appt. I should have gone elsewhere, but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Plus, I didn't feel like changing my dentist with my insurance company. 2nd Appt - Arrived before my appt time and sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes. The girl behind the counter said nothing like you would expect when you have an appt and they are running significantly behind schedule. At that point I had enough and I left. There are plenty of dental options in the local area. Do not settle for this place. read more

I have gone to Anew for several years- probably since they opened. They have never tried to make money on me. I have declined panoramic X-rays and they did not push me into having them done. My older son had his braces done here. I paid cash and they gave me a discount. My younger son had a consultation and was told he did not need braces. They could have tried to make some money on him. They recently remodeled the office. The hygienists do a great job. Recently I actually started going every 6months for a cleaning. I used to dread it. I don't mind any more. They have made it a pleasant experience. The wait time is never bad either. read more

I called to make an appointment, at the time I told them I chipped a tooth, part of it came off while flossing and they were able to get me in the next morning...great....or so I thought. Unfortunately it took me an hour in the office, all of 10min with the Dr....to take x-ray, tell me I had a chipped tooth and a filling that needed be replaced to wait for my estimate and make an appointment. Walked to the front desk, asked for one same day and the only thing they could offer was July 6th or July 17th, are you kidding me....?! I asked for a different Dr. than if this one was only there certain days and best offer was July 2nd....so frustrating!!! I came in with a problem, a problem I told them I had and they did nothing to fix it and told me to come back. And to top if off, I had cancelled another very important appointment (twice) to get in and have zero service done. Unacceptable. read more

I am a health care professional as well and LAUGH at the attempt to discredit this office with picture labeled with ignorant headings. As a long time patient of Anew Dental, I can assure this office is very attentive to the needs of their patients. I like the , CLEAN environment, staff, and overall flow of this office, as they always strive to do the best they can (while keeping me comfortable). My children, and wife, feel the same. We have been consistently pleased with the service we have received here. We use them for general dentistry and cleanings as well as orthodontic work. My older daughter had Invisalign's through the office and my youngest daughter currently has braces. The prices for both were very fair and they have flexible payment options. I waited 35 minutes with no acknowledgement that I was even there today. I arrived at 11:55 am for a noon appointment for one filling just to be ignored until I stepped up to the desk at 30 minutes past my appointment time and asked to reschedule. The immediate response I received (without her even looking!) was "we don't have anything for the rest of this month ". Even though it's their error in making me wait a half hour. I asked her to check how much longer the wait would be and was informed it was still going to be a few more minutes. Odd thing, she said I'll check with him, when my dentist I had seen 3 times prior was a woman. So maybe they also randomly switch dentists without telling you also ?? Even if my insurance wasn't changing, I would not return. I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone. read more

I have never been more disappointed with a dentist...I had two appointments at the Plainfield location, both confirm calls I received were for different times than my appointment time. When I called back and left a message, I received no return call. This was my first dentist visit in several years, and my first time at this location. You would think Dr. White would introduce himself or say SOMETHING before putting his hands in my mouth. He poked my gums a few times and mentioned "pockets" but did not explain anything and left. The hygenist was more concerned with her cell phone. I needed to be fit for a mouthguard. The only reason I did not get up and walk out of the office was because I needed a new mouthguard so bad. Upon pick up you would have thought Dr. White had never seen one before...Thankfully the hygensit had mentioned at my last visit that it was the kind of guard that needed to be run under water to help with the fit because when I picked it up Dr. White most certainly did not tell me anything. When I mentioned my concern about the fit he simply told me to "give it some time". Aside from the horrible experience the cleanliness and feel of the office was lacking. With dentists on every corner and strip mall in Plainfield do yourself a favor and drive past this office. read more

Terrible terrible dental office I called to make a appointment I told them my issue that my son needed a root canal and that I needed to see a endodontis. When I got there it was like a maze to get to the office I was just following the sign that said anew dental. There's a outside waiting room and a inside waiting room which was kind off odd. When I finally get called to go inside. I noticed there was a lack of cleanliness and even one of the dentist was looking at a patient and he did not even had a blue gown on that was a sure red flag. I started to have second thought about the place, good think they did not do any work on my sons teeth. Now they saw that I need to see a endodontis and that they don't have a doctor that does that type of work. They should off said that in the first place when I called just wanted to let everyone know. They are better dentist out there. But these one sure give it a one start. read more

I had my 6 month appointment today. I have been coming here for 2 years and for the fist time I don't have that feeling of dread that in always used to get before an appointment. I was taken in within 5 minutes of my appointment time and Amanda made me feel at ease right away. She did a fabulous job cleaning my teeth and then took x-rays. I always have a terrible time with x-rays because I gag. She always makes sure to use the smallest sensors and works quickly. Dr Swetha is always smiling and friendly. The front desk staff and those who answer the phone are always friendly. We travel quite a distance for appointments and they are always accommodating with appointment times. Once in the office our wait time is always short. I think the longest we have waited is about 10 minutes. Dr. Rubis is a great doctor. Bet friendly and easy going. read more

Very disappointed. Here with my teens. I had a great cleaning from my hygienist. Although when I came out, both of my children said that their cleaning only took about 3 minutes. I did not get any feedback about either of their exams. I had to ask. The dentist actually said something about my daughter having braces. Did he even look??? Her braces were removed a month ago. The children's teeth were not scaled or flossed. The cup was only used to polish and they had a rinse. (We always decline Fluoride) I immediately requested a re-clean with the hygienist I had just had for both of my children. My daughter had just had braces removed, and definitely needed a good clean, longer than 3 minutes. The Hygienist for the 2nd clean did say she had to remove tarter. I am very unhappy. My children have voices, and you can't just skate by with giving sub par services. read more

Horrible. Do not go to them, im still in constant pain and fighting infection. They only want money they don't care about the person at all. I went in because 1 tooth was bothering me she said she could fill it and it would be fine. A week or two after my filling I was in alot of pain and when I went in for a follow up she then told me I needed a root canal that the tooth was too far gone. After my root canal I had a follow up appointment because I was still in insane pain weeks later and she said maybe the root canal just needs to be adjusted and all of a sudden in my new xray determines I somehow in the few weeks I hadn't been there needed another root canal...on the other side... same tooth too? She said she adjusted the first tooth and then did the root canal on the second tooth. This exact same thing happened to my mother only her caps completely broke off from her root canal mine just cause me extreme pain and when I went to my new dentist, they informed me I need to see a specialist because they left a root in BOTH teeth and left a gap so bacteria can enter under the tooth and cause severe swelling and infection. This place needs to be shut down. read more

I went to this business with some trepidation after reading some of the negative reviews, but I had cleaning done today and my experience was fine. I had a little difficulty getting a call back for my appointment after leaving a message but when I chose the option to talk to a receptionist she was polite and I got a same day appointment. They seemed a little disorganized (nothing big, maybe they are a new business). But everyone was polite and the doctor was pretty good. Most importantly for me, nobody tried to push any unnecessary products or services on me which a number of dentists are doing these days. They highlighted issues and listened to my points and provided good service. I will use their services again. read more

This is the worst Dental place you want to be in. These folks cannot enter appointments properly so not sure how they are able to do dental procedures properly. I like the orthodontist Dr.Kizior because he gives me good instructions and tells me i am doing good with my braces besides repairs. Also, if they forget to fix something and I remind them to do it they would fix it with no problem. read more
