The online picture showed an arrangement of all roses, which is precisely what I paid $95 plus a $20 delivery fee for. When my friend received the bouquet and sent me a photo, it looked nothing like what I had ordered. The arrangement included daisies instead of being composed entirely of roses. When I called the store to address this, Tim, the owner, immediately became defensive. Instead of listening to my concern, he dismissed it, insisting there were 12 roses in the arrangement and telling me to have the recipient count them. I explained again that what I ordered was an all-rose bouquet, not a mixed one. His response was to cite the small disclaimer on the website about substitutions. While I understand substitutions may occur, it is not acceptable to charge a premium price for a whole rose arrangement and then substitute with daisies. What I found most troubling, however, was Tim's attitude. Rather than taking responsibility or even offering to make it right, he repeatedly defended himself, referenced his 88 years in business, and ultimately told me not to use his shop again. For an owner to respond that way to customer feedback, especially in such a sensitive situation, is unprofessional and deeply disappointing. I will never use this florist again, and I strongly caution others: unless you are willing to pay a premium price for roses and end up with daisies, take your business elsewhere. The flowers were not what I ordered, and the dismissive, argumentative customer service from Tim, the owner, was even worse.

MAKE THE NEW LEAF YOUR "FIRST CHOICE" FOR FLOWERS!!!…read more ... is what's requested in "About Our Company" -- and I must emphatically agree! They DO, as also stated, "go the extra mile to make your floral gift perfect." Shopping online from Maine, theirs was the 5th or 6th on-the-ground real, in-town (vs. online) floral shop I researched, following discovering them here, thanks to Yelp. Nobody offered what was shown on the typical FTD or Teleflora, it seemed. Only, I needed something special for my friend, who'd suddenly lost her husband. Arrangements offered by others weren't right for my artistic friend's elegantly designed and furnished home and tastes, nor the expression I'd hoped to achieve. THE NEW LEAF's, however, were phenomenal. I was blown away! Never had I seen such beautifully designed arrangements -- indeed, "beautiful floral designs" -- which is why I chose them. I selected "Soft Serenity" for the balanced trio of greens, lilac and whites, and balanced artful composition, too -- only to be sad seeing what'd arrived had substituted some yellow and other flowers. Uh-oh... Calling Dina with my disappointment, however, I was kindly offered either a refund or to send again. We worked closely to ensure that softly serene design I sought for comfort was replicated as closely as one can... I'm so glad I did! My friend was just over the moon with superlatives! While the first was nice, the second was absolutely Wonderful, she'd said. And just now on the phone she shared how the arrangement was simply Magnificent. "Wonderful" and "Magnificent" are pretty exceptional descriptors of their designs... All-in-all, a terrific value and experience. I've saved Dina's number for the next time I need something special for my friend in Virginia Beach.

At first visit, Sara and James were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. My vague wishes: "she likes low maintenance, maybe an orchid or an arrangement in the $75 range." She offered to create a fresh and unique arrangement in summer colors AND have an orchid dressed so I could choose; she even ok'd pickup outside of their normal hours. Turns out, I ended up needing it a day sooner...and they came through, calling to update me when needed. At pick-up, James said "I saw this peach double orchid and knew it was for your friend." That's personalized service at its finest!

I have gotten my wife a monthly arrangement of flowers for a few years, and this is the ONLY…read moreflorist I will ever use. The number one reason is the variety. If you crave a type, color, shape, species, or phase of flower, I am almost certain that they will have it, or a very close alternative. I have them match flowers to the monthly gifts I give my wife, and they nail it every time. The second reason is their exceptional communication. They reach out to me about my monthly purchase and give feedback on it's expected arrival and composition. It makes me feel like they are putting the care I hope into my expression of love. The third reason is their flexibility. I've gone into their shop needing an arrangement in an hour, and they put their best effort in as if I'd made plans for the purchase a week in advance. They never make me feel like I have to just take whatever is "in the fridge", like other flower shops do. I hated going into small shops and trying to explain to an teenager behind the counter about a specialty arrangement I'd like made when they might only know about roses and carnations. The fourth and final reason is their pricing. I am astounded at what they provide for the prices they charge. Their arrangements are fresh, exotic, and vivid, and they still beat those sad little bouquets you see at grocery stores. I have a standing account with Jeff's now as my exclusive florist, and I wouldn't have it any other way. If you are considering getting flowers for any event or purpose, large or small, I assure you this is the best option there is.

Got a mid Christmas bouquet with a lot of Christmas tree stuff in there we didn't ask for. We told them all of this and said we are gonna buy one more time and the lady had the nerve to tell us to be more specific. How was that not specific to begin with? Now on top of the bouquet I got for valentines, I got on the 14th so has been FOUR DAYS and it's already wilting. We paid 80$ for something we could have had at Trader Joe's for cheaper and got fast food after.
