I was craving a lemon poppy seed slice and it did not disappoint. The barista also recommended the carrot cake - which was tempting! Will try next time. Possibly the rudest service ever. I asked what kind of cheese came in the ham and cheese sandwich and she kept saying the name of the cheese, compete. When I asked her what kind of cheese that was- like brie? American? Swiss?- she rolled her eyes and said: "it's like compete cheese". um, OK. HORRID woman. - A TIP IS AUTOMATICALLY ADDED TO ALL orders. I bought a baguette and a loaf of bread. They put these in a bag and it automatically tipped the rudest women in the world and then prompted for AN ADDITIONAL TIP. For what????? Being RUDE, UNHELPFUL and putting something in a bag? These people are NUTS. -The "baguette" is just white bread that is over cooked on top. NOT a baguette. Publix bakery is better! This is a bakery, right? -The sourdough bread is the best loaf that I have gotten in Miami. That only is worth dealing with the awful service and forced tip, although I doubt I'll ever go back. Overall, AWFUL. One loaf of bread does not make up for the angry unhelpful service, forced tip, and wonder bread "baguette" with over cooked design on top. Came here for breakfast and we loved the food here! First things first, the portions of the toast are pretty big and very filling. But they are super delicious. Additionally I love how they cook all of the eggs here. They are absolutely beautiful and perfectly cooked. When we walked in there were so many amazing looking pastries that we wanted to try, so we got two. The pistachio croissant was good, but the Nutella Cruffin was by far my favorite of the two. Both have such flaky layers and are stuffed with the fillings! there are not a ton of tables inside to eat, but the service is great and the food is beautifully prepared and tastes amazing. I absolutely loved my experience at Caracas Biker. Everything I tried was delicious--from the croissants to the cachitos, and even the drinks. A friend had the coffee and I went for the matcha, and both were excellent. The highlight, without a doubt, was the cachito with mortadella--truly exceptional. I had tried to get it at other locations before but it was always sold out, and now I completely understand why. It's 100% worth it. I was really excited to try this place, came by on a Sunday morning and it was packed! The pastries and food looked delicious but what I really came here to try was the iced coffee I have been seeing all over tik tok! I got an iced latte and added oatmilk and honey which were additional charges so the latte ended up being almost $10! I was willing to pay though if the hype was worth it. I had to wait about 10-15 minutes for the coffee to come out as well. However I was very disappointed. The latte was so milky, you couldn't taste the honey or coffee for that matter. Wow, I cannot believe that I haven't reviewed Caracas Bakery when I find myself here at least once a week, and dreaming of their coffee and cachitos regulary. I am so happy that there is a Caracas Bakery on the mile. This location is small, but offers a bit of indoor and outdoor seating. They do not currently have a full breakfast menu like their other location, but have their pastries and breads full every day. I absolutely love their cachitos de jamon - some of the best in Miami. On the weekends they do special cachitos. I've tried the Mortadella one and its delicious. The other thing that I love from here is the iced lattee with oat milk. They use a special Counter Culture x Caracas Bakery blend which is excellent. I have bought the blend to make at home in my french press and I love it. If you pop in here on the weekend, be prepared to wait in line as it is always packed. However, the line moves quickly and the service is friendly. I love that they have a window so you can see the baking happening live throughout the day. Do yourself a favor and stop by here for a treat! read more

Taking a bite was like being transported back home; it's easily one of the best I've ever had, perhaps even better than the ones I remember from my hometown. The dough was perfectly baked and soft, and the ham was flavorful and cut with precision. If you are looking for the gold standard of Venezuelan pastries, this is it. However, while the signature cachito reached incredible heights, the other variations struggled to keep up: * Mortadella Cachito: This sounded "sexier" on the menu than it actually tasted. The quality of the meat didn't quite hit the mark I was hoping for. * Turkey Puff pastry: This was the biggest disappointment. Not a bad stop in for a quick Venezuelan breakfast. It is located right in the heart of Coral Gables and easy to find. We came in around 10am and it wasn't too crowded but we almost didn't get a table. The tables are simple and there are a few pictures on the wall - presumably the owners. My date was Venezuelan so he knows his stuff and decided to choose this spot. We ordered the cachitos with ham and cheese and also a ricotta cheese and spinach pastry. They were both flavorful but the presentation was just so-so. His hot chocolate was good too but felt like it was missing something that could have made it stand out from other places nearby. The staff was efficient but a couple of the team members on the register didn't really exude a warmth or welcome that would've been nice. We felt it was all transactional and cold. We checked out this little bakery in the Gables for a snack. We decided to try the cheese bread and the ham & cheese croissant. Both items were delicious, so warm and fresh. The cheese bread was probably one of the best I ever had. It's so big too that I saved half of it for the next day to enjoy for breakfast. My mom loved her ham & cheese croissant. Very small, intimate coffee shop in the gables! they must have just opened, because they didn't have much décor. I liked the little bar with stools near the espresso machine, and how the kitchen is open so you could see the man making the pastries. I had their sausage and cheese croissant and it was delivious! It was a little cold and pink in the center, so i had to have them put it back in the oven and it was much better. the dough was so buttery and soft. I also had an iced latte and it was really good! I was hoping to try their egg sandwich, but they only have the pastries at this location, which i was a little disappointed about. Today I tried out their location on Miracle Mile! I got an iced mocha and a cachitos, which the special was queso and jalapeno. The coffee was perfect and delicious! The cachitos was unreal! I decided to give this place a try during a study break and I am really happy I did. They have a variety of pastries ranging from sweet to savory. I tried the beef and chicken Bourekas as well as the cheese bread. I paid $16 for the three of them. I found that to be a bit expensive compared to other bakeries in the area. I really enjoyed the cheese pastry, especially when the cheese was nice and melted. Next I really liked the chicken boureka. The pastry was flaky and the chicken was well seasoned. My least favorite was the beef one which I think fell flat flavor wise. Make sure you get these heated up. Otherwise, the service was fast, but I was the only person ordering. The decor itself is a bit unorthodox. It's pretty minimalistic and the bakery portion is in the front. There were about 6 tables. read more

This Caracas Bakery location is such a great addition to The Miracle Mile area. It's yet another reason to come here for breakfast. If you end up eating somewhere else, you can still stop by here to pick up some great pastries or bread to take home with you. The cachitos are addicting. I get the ham & cheese, but I always ask about the special because they have had some creative combinations. The Golfeado here is really the best I've had. For those unfamiliar, it looks like a cinnamon bun, but has no cinnamon. Instead it's sweetened with caramelized sugar and anise, which hints of mild licorice. You can top it off with a Venezuelan cheese that's very mild, but complements the flavoring perfectly. If you do get it with cheese, also try it on its own first to get the flavor of the bun. They also have a Jewish Bobka that's worth a special mention because it contains Nutella and GUAVA! Yes, Miami's official tropical fruit! I did enjoy the toddy, but this didn't feel like authentic Venezuelan food. The palmeritas--referred to here as kouign-amann--are not thin and crunchy like the traditional Venezuelan ones. The pan dulce has a strong anise flavor, and the cachitos are made with thick, fatty ham. While the dough might be good, I generally prefer them with thinly sliced ham. The cheese pastry was good. I don't drink coffee, so I can't comment on it. The place felt crowded and small, and the menu leans more toward a fusion style; this location also doesn't offer a full menu. Few things went wrong here... the food was great pretty expensive but delicious. Long line and no seats so you're fighting for a table and while waiting, we also had to clean up someone's else mess ourselves. In line a guy comes up to me asking to download an app for a free coffee and cachito so of course i said yess only to find out the app is AI and taking my face for their own data...i then proceeded to order an iced macchiato since i knew i didn't want the free hot coffee since they wouldn't do it iced when its already 80 degrees in the place but i digress. Me and my boyfriend get the coffees and they were not good the cups were half filled and i payed extra for oat milk for there to be less than a splash in it. The women making the coffee didn't want to fix it so we just ended up throwing them away. And in order to attempt to get away with these prices the workers need to say at a minimum "hello". The coffee and matcha were both the 2 worst drinks I have ever had and unfortunately the staff was quite rude and seemed extremely annoyed that they had customers in the shop.
